Evocative New DirecTV Promo For FRIDAY NIGHT LIGHTS!!
SPOILER ALERT !!
I am – Hercules!!
No Tyra, no Lyla. Nobody from the original cast still attends high school except Julie Taylor and Landry Clarke. Grads Tim Riggins and Matt Saracen will still be lurking about.
Though the show shoots in Austin, where AICN is headquartered, the cast and Riggins' truck was shipped to a few blocks east of my apartment so the promo could be shot at Los Angeles' Universal City.
The trailer reminds us Oct. 28 is the date of the return of “Friday Night Lights” to DirecTV’s channel 101. Season four hits NBC next year.

I was thinking of switching over to ATT Uverse but this show is the reason why I keep Direct TV. I just can't wait until NBC shows it.

the show is just incredible. really hard to sell it to people who haven't seen it, cuz you say: "it's about a high school football town in texas, and the dramas that occur in their intertwined lives..." and while that can sound cheesy, the execution of it all is just stoooooopid brilliant/beautiful/beyond perfect/all kinds of mad praise filled etc's...

I download the torrents and link them to my PS3 but as with last year, I will keep my DVR series recording of the NBC airings which I play back when I'm watching DVDs since I think Nielsen monitors that stuff.

I'm not sure they can overcome losing both of them. Although I heard Adrienne Palicki might be back later in the season for a few episodes.

and thought shouldn't Connie Britton be the lead? And why couldn't she have been cast in Speed and have Sandy Bullock's career?

And this show has been sooooooo good. I'm like on disc 3 or 4, and I still haven't opened s2 yet. Tyra and Lyla were very beautiful, and Riggins was my fave character overall sad to hear he's not around as much. I hope the new qb1 and everyone else are as good. Nice to hear Landry and Julie still around; does that mean Landry was younger than Saracen? Also, is Chandler and his wife still in the show?

I hate when shows that take place in high school seemingly change what grades the students are in all of a sudden. Wouldn't Riggins and Street as best friends who grew up together be in the same grade? I guess they could have explained that with Riggins failing a couple grades, but to my recollection did not. But how do you explain Matt Saracen and Landry not being in the same grade? I think they could have gotten away with last season being Saracen's junior year with him, Julie, and Landry all being freshmen when the show started. He could have gone to East Dillon with Coach Taylor for his senior year and with Julie still at Dillon, it could have created some issues.
It's a great show that i always look forward to. I wish it had caught on with a bigger audience but i think a lot of people just write it off as a show about football. Too bad since anyone who watches it knows its so much more. Gonna miss the departing original cast members. -
And it helps me actually forget the exorbitant prices I pay for DirecTV.
