I heard about this one guy who was at the Jacko trial. He said that when the prosecution started to really push Michael and make him angry his bullshit sweet girly voice would drop 3 octaves to a normal angry black guy voice. He was a singer and a dancer, and a songwriter. He was an entertainer, and none of that compares to the fact that he was a child molester. That makes him the lowest form of scum on earth. Any good that he did was eradicated by that. We all make cracks and jokes about "keep your kids away fro Michael" and "George Lucas raped my childhood" but the fact remains that there is little you can do to decimate a human life more - even taking that life is less abhorrent than what Jackson did. I am a father of three children and if anyone dared to touch one of them no amount of money would keep me from seeing those who did it locked up or worse. I would pursue criminal charges no matter what. Civil matters can come later. What I am saying is this, these people who accused him of the heinous act sure disappeared quickly when the topic of money came up. How many parents here would do the same if it really happened? I have to believe that almost all would want guilty party to pay and not pay up. It is for this reason that I believe all the charges against Michael were fabrications. No parent would sacrifice thier child's innocence for money...would they?

Why put himeself in a siatuation were we could be accused of such acts, and to such a degree that it resulted in a criminal trial .Prosecutors and states don't put people on trial at the drop of a hat . Couple that with the fact that he admitted on TV that he slept with children ( not his own , mind you ) in his bed frequently . The whole situation stank to high hell . I'm not saying that he was a child molester , but he was silly enough to put himself in a situation where be could be deemed one ,not once but twice . Whatever the truth is . Just wanted to add something to your great point, and that is, Michael came into contact with many, many children. Of all those he did encounter only TWO of their families came forward with these accusations. Where are all the rest? It makes no SENSE if you actually THINK about it which most of the mouthbreathing shitheads who just label him a child molester seem incapable of doing. The people who accused him were money hungry and took advantage of a damaged person (from his upbringing and unfit, insane father.)

J. M. Barrie (the man who wrote Peter Pan) was also accused of the molesting children - he didn't, but because he enjoyed the company of children, saying they were his greatest inspiration, (same as Michael) people didn't know what to make of it. Michael should have been more responsible - the only way to think he would be so blatantly open about what he does is if he really and truly thought he wasn't doing anything wrong. I think he was damaged simply out of the fact that people aren't meant to be famous - before there was ever such a thing as celebrity - the only people who were famous were dictators and overlords and sanity is not something kept when you have that much power - in my opinion. Michael was once the most famous person on the planet and I would say more famous than anyone before or since - there's not a person here who lived through the 80's that didn't have a copy of Thriller in their house. That kind of fame can't be good for you.

Sorry, never had a copy of anything by MJ in my house. MJ brought on all the criticism himself. It is not appropriate under any circumstance for a grown man to sleep in the same bed with children not his own. You can defend MJ by saying he was naive about how this is wrong, but somebody in his infinite posse had to have advised him that it was inappropriate. The parents who consented to this are also to blame.

Having kids over for a sleepover at his age is just weird unless he was doing something else then it's unforgivable. I did see a clip somewhere of Michael's bedroom at neverland and his bedroom was was not just a bedroom - it was a four room section of the house that had lofts and a separate entertainment section with a large lounging area - his bedroom itself was the size of a suburban house.

Because my eyes have been opened to the fact that despite the horrible mass media narrative that painted him in ugly ways, he truly was a kind person, he was never threatening, he helped the unfortunate even when he could've easily turned his back on them, and he wanted people to better themselves so we can better the world. <P> That such a good man - whose great talent has left indelible marks on many people's lives, including yours from your youth, I suspect - can be crucified and condemned for so long, whose legacy was nearly erased by manufactured lies and the manipulations of those who sought to swindle and destroy him, is tragedy on a great scale. <P>

I agree with everything you've said SO much. I was totally taken in by the media-spin on Michael. Like many people I couldn't help but think "maybe he did do it" during the trial just because a second accusation seemed damning. BUT after his death I finally bothered to do some damn RESEARCH on the '93 allegation and the '05 trial and the real picture started to emerge. Even journalists who were vehemently against MJ during the trial changed their minds once they really looked at the FACTS. Now I can't believe he had the strength to endure such public criticism. It's like his Vitiligo. He kept saying he had a damn skin disease --- he had an auto-immune illness for god sake and rather than sympathize the whole world mocked him for it?! More than anything else MJ's death has opened my eyes to how overwhelmingly screwed up the media can be and the damage of groupthink.

At the end of his life MJ was a terrible monster...Hiding under childrens beds and touching them after they were asleep...MJ was and will always be a punchline in the american lexicon...He made it that way...He could've just dated Brooke Shields and left the monkey at home, but he chose the road less traveled...you remember monkies, tiny male child actors, and an amusment park built to draw in his true drug of choice little boys...He was a joke nothing more nothing less...
