ScoreKeeper Has Five Copies of Schifrin's SKYRIDERS Soundtrack to Give Away. Wanna Hang?

Published at:  Sep 05, 2009 1:42:17 PM CDT

Greetings! ScoreKeeper here soaring atop thermals to announce another super-killer-awesome soundtrack giveaway. A couple months ago I announced the first ever soundtrack release for SKYRIDERS (1976) composed by the legendary Lalo Schifrin.

I now have in my possession five copies of this wickedly cool score to give away to five insanely lucky Ain’t It Cool readers.

Want to soar on the music of the quintessential hang-gliding action flick of the 70s?

Email me at scorekeeper@aintitcool.com using the subject: I’LL HANG WITH LALO! and include your full name, mailing address, a valid email address, and your favorite 70s action score.

The deadline will be Saturday, September 12th, at 11:59PM EST. Only one entry per person please. International entries will be accepted. Duplicates will be discarded.

For more information including audio samples and order placement please visit here.

Damn! I love this poster!

And 70's Schifrin is tough to resist. I hope I win a copy.

    Can't you put these contests

    by boe

in their own section somewhere at the bottom? People rarely seem interested.

I have to agree with BoE...

but not with the whole "people seem uninterested" statement. The site seems to have been giving away stuff more often. Its own section seems to make sense.

    I've never seen 'Skyriders'...

    by cheyne_stoking_dms

nor have I ever heard of it. But I've read someone on imdb.com call it "old school Die Hard." Any comment?

    uninterested

    by boe

I'm basing my assumption on the lack of comments - I may well be wrong (although I have a hard time believing many clamoring for the score to Skyriders). Regardless, for those who are interested, it makes sense to throw these contests into their own section as you do seem to be giving more stuff away lately.

    ?

    by scorekeeper

Film music enthusiasts are indeed a small niche group, but they are as passionate as any other in the geek arts. If labels want to give away product to AICN readers, I'll be happy to oblige them. Not interested? Don't read. I write the headlines so that it is apparent it is a soundtrack giveaway. Make a note of it.

    SKYRIDERS DVD

    by scorekeeper

As far as I'm aware there is no DVD release for SKYRIDERS. I hope that changes in the near future.
