Whiskey A Go Go Gooooooo!! Hercules The Strong Has Seen The Second Season Premiere of Joss Whedon's DOLLHOUSE!!
SPOILER ALERT !!

I am – Hercules!!
TV critics got their DOLLHOUSE 2.1 screeners today (wrapped in a lovely burgundy t-shirt and a note from Joss Whedon).
Titled “Vow,” the episode is superb: funny, suspenseful, sexy and willing to kick around more than a few Very Big Ideas. Combined with the series’ terrific “lost” episode (“Epitaph One”
), “Vow” roughly triples my investment in this series’ fate. Which is to say, its eventual cancellation will be three times harder to bear now than the day before I saw “Epitaph One.”
Hints of what awaits:
* Apparently much time has elapsed between 1.12 and 2.1. Not as much as between 1.12 and “Epitaph One.” But still.
* This season’s Big Bad may or may not be one Sen. David Perrin (Alexis Denisof, who played Wesley Wydham-Pryce on “Buffy the Vampire Slayer” and “Angel”). Perrin also may or may not be the season’s Big Good. 2.1 fails to specify Sen. Perrin’s party affiliation.
* Claire Saunders' existential crisis (turns out she’s FAKE!) means a BIG Amy Acker episode before she wanders off to her role on ABC’s midseason ensemble drama “Happy Town.” (My understanding is Acker will continue to recur on “Dollhouse” even as she stars on the other series.)
* 2.1's teaser and first act likely contain the series’ funniest 12 minutes to date.
* There’s a lot more to Adelle and Paul’s first-season-ending “arrangement” than a lot of viewers may suspect.
* Sierra is a fleeting highlight, looking for a few moments like she just wandered off the “Mad Men” set.
* Tahmoh Penikett’s “Battlestar Galactica” co-star Jamie Bamber (who’s only half-American) uses his Brit accent. The two former CAGs share a big scene near episode’s end.
* “Epitaph One” vet Felicia Day does not turn up in 2.1, but word is she's back later in the season.
* Another clue for you all: The Walrus was Paul.

For those who asked what says Whedon’s letter:

Dear Press Member:
You hold in your delicate paws a rough cut of “Vows,” the first episode of the second season of DOLLHOUSE, premiering Friday, Sept. 25 on FOX. More importantly, you also hold a free t-shirt! So that’s a thumbs-up right there, no? I mean, do you even have to watch the show? It’s clearly t-shirt-tastic! Did “Grey’s Anatomy” send you a shirt? They did? (Did they send any extra? I’d kill.)
Meanwhile, DOLLHOUSE. Like a man with the bright-eyed euphoria of narrowly escaped death, DOLLHOUSE is coming back from a hilariously unexpected non-cancellation with a verve, a joy and a visceral excitement that borders on manic. We’re psyched. This is the show we want to make. The twisty lives of the Dollhouse peeps are truckin’ along, and ECHO (Eliza Dushku) is going through one of her fresher Hells.
Some things have changed. We’re shooting in HD with a new crew, for a look that’s more lush and exciting – and faster, so we can achieve more visually and give more time to the actors. (and OMG, Olivia’s hair! Very key.) Some things have not.
To refresh, Echo has been rescued from ALPHA (who is still at large) after having all her former personas dumped into her brain all at once. PAUL BALLARD (Tahmoh Penikett) has agreed to work with the Dollhouse in exchange for NOVEMBER’s (Miracle Laurie) freedom. DR. SAUNDERS (Amy Acker) has discovered she is actually an Active, designate “Whiskey,” who was designed by TOPHER (Fran Kranz) to replace the doctor Alpha murdered. And ADELLE (Olivia Williams) has gotten a fabulous haircut.
We hope you enjoy our happy little tale. If you don’t: t-shirt… so soft… so sleepy…
Yours, etc.

A coda. Since this post might attract the odd Whedon fan, let me remind readers that the latest excellent (Jane Espenson-penned) issue of Buffy Season Eight
went on sale yesterday. The issue contains huge and perhaps far-reaching InterScoob developments. Seek it and the 27 issues preceding.

Here's hoping Season 2 is better than 1. I'm still on the fence.
-
I wish I could have been among the first to see it.
-
so is joss whedon, all you haters are cuntgoblins, stop being douches, it's fine if you don't like his shite, just don't be dicks about it
-
loved the unaired pilot too. really looking forward to Season 2
-
Countdown till the Joss haters arrive in54321...
-
makes an appearance?
-
for the episode, guest starring Boreanez, where the dolls are dispatched to recreate the next episode of "Angel".
Sigh... -
I'll promise to watch Dollhouse every Friday night as it airs, if you'll promise to give us a Supernatural TB! :)
In all seriousness, I'm very excited for this show's second season. Joss hasn't let me down yet (just don't mention Alien: Resurrection)! -
The most over-rated creator of all time. Buffy sucked hard. It was like Star Trek, but with monsters. Bad actors in bad costumes. Firefly was meh, nothing to write home about. And Dollhouse just sucks donkey balls! Terminator: TSCC was better, and that show sucked hard. Not to mention his run on Astonishing X-Men just blew. The guy just continued off of what Morrison was doing and his big highlight was the return of Colossus? His run on X-Men was largely forgettable. Whedon sucks big-time. I'm so glad he didn't do the Wonder Woman movie. The guy didn't want to have her in her star-spangled panties? What a fag!
-
I am not the Whedon lover you are (yes Buffy 1-5 and Angel 3-5, no everything else but Dr. Horrible) but Dollhouse got enough better at the end of season one to get another go for season two. Besides, they're gonna' have Saul on it, and with luck his eye patch.
-
The funny thing is, when you get banned (which I hope is soon), you'll convince yourself it's because you dared be critical of Whedon.
You're blind to the amount of ass that you are. -
Thanks for the letter transcript, Herc. Can't wait to see Alexis' character.
-
I really dislike Angel as a show, but there's no denying that season 5 was the best, and it was because Whedon was involved and their backs were against the wall. He's the personality type that does best under pressure. So the reduced budget and new shooting conditions, I'm almost positive, will result in a better show.
Season 1 was so underwhelming that it BETTER get better, and this isn't coming from a hater-- this is coming from a hardcore Whedonite. A hardcore Whedonite is me. -
..season one just didn't do it for me(except Patton's cameo). Eliza never comes off as the "expert" she has been loaded with. I like the plotline that has all the personalities in her but I'm unsure about the rest. Glad Sierra is out she sucked. Glad Bamber and Hogan are showing up. Glau...meh. Overrated. I love Eliza but Whedon has never struck a chord with me. I WANT TO LIKE IT. You'll have to earn it.
-
I fucking love her. We better get a lot more Sierra action in season 2. She fucking carried season.
-
Can't wait til it 2.1 gets leaked online.
-
and it is substantially better than the pilot that actually aired. That fact gives me hope that this season, with less network interference, will indeed be good.
-
of course I am talking bout the t-shirt :)
-
nice
So does "we're shooting in HD now because we want a more exciting fast web2.0 look" mean "we're too cheap for film"? that sucks -
What did you love about her? Just curious. Exotic? I didn't think she was hot, talented, or crucial to the plot.
-
The loss of November left a huge spot open. (No pun intended, or was there=)
-
If they're going to cut corners budget-wise, I'd rather it be with stuff like shooting in HD than, say, firing Olivia Williams or something.
-
Let it die a quick and painful death after only 2 episodes this season.
-
"So does "we're shooting in HD now because we want a more exciting fast web2.0 look" mean "we're too cheap for film"?"Yes, that is exactly what it means
-
as November. And damn, that Jo Chen cover art is great. So's the t-shirt (So soft, so sleepy..)
-
after being a diehard buffy and angel fan, and catching up with firefly and serenity on the big screen i can't help but fell like mr whedon needs at least a half season to work out all the kinks. i need to be fair in saying every single show which has come out of the creative brainstem that is mutant enemy has not failed in capturing my imagination. i cannot wait for the second season premeire and only hope everyone whom has enjoyed his other works will join in the support of dollhouse. (i am a horrible user of the word "whom" and i hope i did not use it incorrectly, i'm on the east coast and intoxicated please forgive me you mighty english majors).
-
Letter from Joss and a t-shirt
-
so you dont mind them being chubby as long as they big ones?
-
Hard to tell from the photo.
-
You can hate all you want...how does impotence feel? 2nd season coming...and no more Sarah Crappy Chronicles...eat Whedon's length you fucking sad-ass whiners. BAHAHAHAHAHA....
-
show is fail
-
Critics tend not to be the sort of net geeks who know how to do that stuff.
-
...you're still the whiny little bitch who cried like a jilted boy toy about Greg Garcia's darn funny and now gone MY NAME IS EARL.
-
so we can have a Faith show.
-
Just my opinion, but the guy can't act worth shit.
I've said it many times.
He is good for fight scenes though.
Very cool to hear Wesley is now onboard as is Apollo!
Now we just need Rupert Giles!
Joss, bring in more Buffy folks (apart from SMG that is)
Would love to see a Boreanaz cameo, but he's busy with Bones (any truth in the Bones/Lie to Me crossover? That would rock) -
this borefest got a 2nd season and T:TSCC was canceled
Although Alpha was the greatest and fastest example of villain decay evar -
Or should I get a fucking hipster bait iphone?
-
I've never owned a phone that didn't have a 2-year commitment. It's easier for me to type on a Pre than an iPhone, which was the deciding factor.
-
Is that your hero pose with the puffed up chest and the clenched fist?
-
Not at all sir. How does that thing about cushin and pushin go again? Lower your standards. You'll get laid more;) For real though...November was a real girl. All the other Hollywood actresses were fine. Like I said before I love Eliza, but November, yeah I liked her big fuckin tittyfuckable(new word)jugs better.
-
Not that I don't wish to know that contents, but for some reason...I want to go into it, completely unspoiled? Dollhouse, not being cancelled, is a victory for the arts, and artists...who push the limits, and dare to think outside the box. I always thought the way Joss Whedon ran his operation was very much similar to a troupe of artists, a think tank, even--dedicated to breaking new ground in audio, visual and written...arts. It is a real train wreck when they get it wrong, one you still want to watch, however, despite the huge consequences of the failure(s)...that they hatch, but when they get it right, which is most of the time, it is something very special to witness, and to learn from.I still say, if the industry allows it, Joss Whedon will show himself to be this generation's Rod Serling/Steven Spielberg.
-
that ended the series in the UK never happened and we are back to the old formula now?
Rubbish & pointless! -
The fist is clenched because it's holding the the tiny data-port cover I broke off the Pre. My chest is swollen with manly pride because I am flush with the knowledge of how effortlessly I can wreck a smartphone.
-
I didn't understand almost any of that.
-
Most of Season 1 disappointed, but there was always something there drawing me back each week. It got much better towards the end as the mythology took precedence over story-of-the-week. By the end I cared about most of the characters and I'm a little bit stoked for the new seasonh. Bring it on. :)
-
sky one isnt showing this.
-
sky one isnt showing this.
-
Story of the week has to be good. Otherwise you get stuff like the worst episodes of BSG, which is like being read a story v-e-r-y s-l-o-w-l-y, endless drawn out scenes that didn't really amount to anything. One of the great things about Firefly, is that he made the episodes really distinct - one was a heist ep, one was a haunted house ep, one was a femme fetale ep, one was the Boba Fett ep, one was the origins ep, and so on... God I loved that show.
-
Quin I have a Pre as well and love the phone. It feels very nice and the keyboard, despite being small, is great after a couple days. Yes you will have the occassional typo, but overall it's a very nice keyboard. The web browser is fantastic, pushing gmail just works fine, no problems there. The app catalog is still in beta and is a bit barren, but it will be getting better. Just keep in mind the iPhone didn't even have an app store until a year in.
Herc I have found the easiest way to open that stupid little tab is to slide the keyboard down and try to get a finger nal under the entire thing. Then just pry it out all at once, if that makes sense. It's still not ideal or easy, but I haven't snapped it off yet....lol -
That was a flash-forward episode.
It happens.
How we get to that point, as "revealed" in the memories accessed during that episode, may not necessarily be accurate though.
Flash forwards can work in a dramatic setting. Some people here might remember the Babylon 5 episode "Deconstruction of Falling Stars" which showed us, in season 4, some of what would happen in Season 5.
-
What does Eliza Dushku have against sleeves? Are there special clauses written into her contracts? If we were to peek into her wardrobe, would it be filled with tank tops?Really.
-
I mean: Wow, there's an editor at AICN who is not ridiculously fat and who might actually be attractive to women???!! That picture up there just completely changed my world-view.
-
...Sen. David Perrin’s party affiliation would absolutely determine his Big Bad or Big Good status. If he's a Democrat, then he's a bad guy. Or, at least his approval ratings are dropping faster than Hugh Grant's pants at a transvestite hooker convention. Reap the whirlwind motherfuckers! What goes around comes around and the dissent is always the truest form of patriotism...even when there's a liberal in charge.
-
Seriously, is it just me or is there a lack of pre-air screeners for new / existing shows so far this year? Only the 1st ep of Dexter has shown up so far. Herc, double this by releasing Dollhouse into the wild, you know it makes sense....
-
I didn't watch Dollhouse, Kings or any other new shows from the past year when they aired (though I did catch up on Kings eventually) because I knew that most would get cancelled.
New shows like Day One and Caprica are shows I'm probable going to avoid this season (though I'm not sure about Caprica since I'm a BSG fan). I haven't seen Fringe and I haven't seen Dollhouse. With the latter, I'm tempted to have a catch up session but I'm not convinced it won't be cancelled (and being in Ireland, when I watch the show has no impact on ratings) so I may just wait and see. -
I dropped out at episode 3. It was ok, but not all that compelling and Dushku is just not talented enough to carry the different personas. However I'm liking the new cast members so I may check it out again. Can this show really get a season 3 though? On FOX?!
But this line from the letter is great: "DOLLHOUSE is coming back from a hilariously unexpected non-cancellation..." -
did nothing for me. But then came "Epitaph 1", and that one just upped the ante so hard, I will definitely be tuning in for Season 2. If Fox is smart (which we all know they're not), they'll show Epitaph 1 as a lead-in to the new season. But since they suck, we'll just have to wait for this show to get cancelled at the end of season 2 instead of 1. Hope we still get Epitaph2, though!
-
What was the deal with $99 a season?
-
Need more details! More! More! More!
-
I watched every episode, but still couldn't get into this show. Eliza is great, as always, but I think her revelations as well as Paul's were too slow. Then it seemed like every character needed a revelation moment that was too slow in coming. I hope it gets better. Maybe there isn't enough ass kickery going on. Maybe I was too impatient. I wanted great episodes that were for the most part stand alone with a reveal cleverly mixed in, rather than adventure of week truncated by mythology.
-
When you get paid to handout this big a blowjob it someone must be seeing the end coming roaring at them.
-
I just love it when people can not comprehend what a fucking liberal or conservative really are. Hint in their true form they are a lot closer on the political spectrum than one thinks.
Barky is NO LIBERAL! He is a fucking DEMOCRAT CORPORATIST!.
Bush was a REPUBLICAN CORPORATIST!
Be a good little political naif and spend some time reading up on Ralph Nader, or at COUNTERPUNCH and DISSIDENT VOICE.
Then possibly, but doubtfully, you just may understand what TRUE LIBERALS AND CONSERVATIVE believe. -
Is not airing then?
-
Herc: headshot required...
umanben: whom was used incorrectly (sorry) -- hint, you need some preposition before you use it ("for whom" "to whom" "of whom")
dollhouse: here's to a stellar season (or at least just an additional season). I am pleased.
-
That's not Herc in that picture. That's his boyfriend.
-
motherfuckign air Epitah One motherfuckers. I'm not buying a DVD set to see one fucking episode. Is it online somewhere?
-
So I watched every ep. last year and honestly, with the exception of the good doctor I dont' really remember any of the charactures....i will give it a few more shows and unless I super care, i'm outtie
-
the way Whedon writes, very cool, yet totally gay too.
-
this is the kind of show that works better on DVD where you don't have to wait a week between every episode and can quickly engage yourself in the story. the FOX airing quickly fizzled out for me, gave up around the third episode, but then I picked up the first season on DVD and couldn't get enough. now i'm more excited for this premiere than I am for "Lost"'s. And that's a big deal.
also, I'm sure I'll get flamed to no end, but what's so awesome about Felecia Day? She sucked on Buffy, and she was the weakest actor in Epitaph One. even Zack "Scut Farkus" Ward stole the show compared to her. I'm sure she's a sweet girl and all, but she's become this nerd mini-phenom and I really don't get it. -
And it definitely took a few eps to really get invested, but I am. And yes, Fox should have let the pilot stand, as it was better than what became ep. 1. However, I agree Epitaph One really sold this premise more than any other episode. Herc, will we see a lot of Alpha in Season 2 or will he be a dark cloud in the distance? Plus, why not get Nathan Fillion in there somehow? Or does Castle still exist? And Jewel Staite, too...I haven't seen her in anything since Firefly. Bring on Season 2!
-
To be fair, I did write "attractive to women", not attracted. ;-)
-
Hobo I'm with you, I mean what the fuck does fox has to lose? How did they not air it over the summer. V I still use dial up.
-
The fact that it's unclear whether Alexis Denisof is the Big Bad or the Big Good. Cannot. Fucking. Wait. In an otherwise dismal fall season, this show's return is one bright spot. While Buffy and Angel were great shows with moments of genius, and Firefly was a lot of fun with genius ideas, I think Dollhouse has the potential for the masterpiece, with some incredibly challenging ideas and plots. Now that the Fox suits are off the case, the show can build on the amazing second half of the first season.
-
I was skeptical of Eliza Dushku being the leading actress on a show, but by the end of Ep. 2 (since I've removed Ep. 1 from my memory) she really surprised me with her range. Plus I liked the show's premise. Since then, I've watched every episode except "Epitaph 1," which a friend told me was amazing but spoiler-ish.
I'm very much looking forward to Dollhouse season two. -
Gotta make time.
-
Was in Stargate Atlantis.
-
i watched the first season on the HD Fox so that confused me for a second but ok, it means they are now using digital cameras instead of film right? so does this mean it'll have that cheap video look like the Bloody Valentine remake? uh oh
-
Hot body!
-
In regard to Whedon shooting season two in HD, I think he's going for a cleaner, clearer, more FX-friendly palette. He's a fan of "Battlestar Galactica," which also shot in HD, so I think it's pretty cool he integrated the process into his own show-making.
Along with BSG and Angel expatriates joining Dollhouse's cast this season, I think shooting in HD could be a huge upgrade to the show. It'll allow Joss to tweak all kinds of things more easily than he could before. He'll probably be like a kid in a candy store, in all honesty.
So hopefully the show will look good, possibly really good, and not cheap like the Bloody Valentine remake.
We'll see. -

If Epitaph One isn't the true end of the series, it's kind of a
by tall_boy66
I know they wrote Epitaph One as an impromptu Series Finale, and I think it plays very well as that, but when they got the go-ahead for Season 2, Whedon was saying, "Oh, that may not be the ending of the series", which I think is kind of a let-down because the entire thing boils down to a "what if". I am excited for this new season but, dangit, we got an ending already. Now I just feel conflicted.
-
For the love of all that is holy, I hate Talkback headers cutting words off.
-
Herc your body is sexy in Active wear.
-
shit
-
the hate of voluptuous full figured women, and i should emphasize that word WOMEN...is due to the slow brainwashing from hollywood that women are sleek and skinny or theyre "FAT"...i loved looking at novembers hot curves all season..i shall miss her too.....my standards werent as high as some of these losers since i was 14...lol
-
Just saying.
I never got into that show. Couldn't get past the leading male character's horrible mullet. -
If you're not into buying the box sets new, sure, there are plenty of cheap sets available all over the net.
-
Send us more "Primeval" and you can have more "Dollhouse".
-
Yeah. I don't like the feel of tailbone and pelvis slamming into my crotch.
-
So the rule of thumb is that a TV actress will try to be 10 pounds under her healthy ideal weight.
Not a great standard, I'll admit. -
... that I'm also a fan of Miracle Laurie, who, aside from being a very good actress, is also blessed with cuteness and fabulous curves.
Eliza and every other actress on the show looks great too, don't get me wrong, but to me, with those curves Miracle just stands out.
Can't wait to see what happens with Mellie. -
Seriously, is there anything that Joss can't do writing wise? He's awesome.
-
I'm confused...wasn't last season filmed in HD as well?...FOX aired it in HD last season
-
like when we saw Willow and Tara's first actual onscreen kiss and it was during a heartwrenching grief scene during The Body episode. Sooo sexy. Now the comic book action with Buffy and that other slayer, now that was hot. Until the funny broke out.
-
I completely fell in love with Miracle Laurie and couldn't get enough of her onscreen. So gorgeous.
-
I loved her plot line and thought the actress was good and cute, but I don't want her to come back. Why? She got her happy ending, that was a bit tragic but hopeful so her story is done. "Who are you?" "I'm nobody." Great stuff with a good wrap up.
-
That was 100% just about teasing sexy and not much else, considering the reactions of the crew. ie. "I'll be in my bunk."
-
have you already posted when all the new fall shows will start?
-
However, I'll watch the first new ep.
If it's not perfect, I'm outta there.
I'm not paying with my time to watch supposedly the top talent bumble and stumble.
Get it right or get out of the way.
Other people have other ideas about what to put on TV. -
Who is credited as the writer(s) and director of 2.1, also, do you know if Jane Espenson or Tim Minear are still involved with the show, with Espenson off on 'Caprica' and Minear doing the remake of 'Alien Nation' and all that?
-
I can see where you're coming from regarding Miracle Laurie, but I don't think Whedon made a mistake casting her. You think she should lose about 20 pounds, and that's cool.
But many of us enjoy the fact she carries a few extra, nicely placed pounds since she carries them so well. I think her character is endearing because she seems real and doesn't resemble your typically skinny Hollywood actress. And who knows? In a few years she could potentially join Christina Hendricks's glamour club. Not at that level, of course, but you never know.
I like the fact Whedon cast her on the show. -
It was shot on film. Now they're going to shoot it on digital HD video, which is cheaper, doesn't require all of the post, etc.
-
Just watched Epitaph one,
that shit was insane!!!
Way more excited about season 2,
any chance we can get you to leak that ish? -
The whole point was that she looked real on the show. You weren't supposed to know she was an active and "the look" was part of that surprise. Your narrow view (general use, no offense)is what they were playing off. They caught you looking at the birdie while they stole your wallet. That bit of casting was the best and most creative part of the show. The big titties were just icing on the cake. mmmmmmmmmmmtittie icing.
-
It was a rough cut without episode titles, but I hear Joss wrote it. Espenson is now running Caprica so she's gone, but Alien Nation has not yet gone to pilot and Tim Minear is still aboard Dollhouse; I think he writes 2.2.
-
MIracle will loose 20 pounds and then everyone will be back on here saying how many times they jerked off to her. I hope she doesn't though. I jerked off to her like a billion times as is. skeetskeetskeet!!!
-
You monitor this shit like its your job...oh wait. Nice work.
-
Jesus, get some perspective. Miracle Laurie absolutely does not need to lose 20 pounds, at least not from any reasonable health perspective.
-
by the same company and the same man. so i thought sky would have picked this up. maybe they will. but. rte passed on samantha who. saying it was not good enough. they gave us the sub office like english class and the less said about that the better.
-
And wow. I think it's hands down the best episode of the entire series. I was very blase about Dollhouse throughout its entire run (with the exception of 1 episode), but Epitaph One has finally made me care about the show. If anyone hasn't gotten around to watching it, you should. It really is as good as everyone's been saying it is.
-
Fareal, your "facts" about Miracle Laurie aren't facts, they're your exuberantly self-centered opinions. You don't like her extra weight, fine. That's your view of her.
But don't feed us your narcissistic "it's a fact of life" bullshit about her not being hot. Recognize that on this thread alone, your opinion is in the minority.
Therefore it's not "a fact of life." It's an opinion.
One that many of us, and I think across the country, would disagree with. -
links plz
-
You can buy it or rent it, but it was never aired and Fox legal has attempted to keep it off the internet to protect sales/rental revenues...just rent the last disc in the season.
-
who would win?
-
Most people don't know it but a lot of films have been making the jump from film to digital video, one of them was Star Wars episode 2, was one of the first ones to be done completely digital video after the disaster it was to film episode 1. Flyboys uses a digital camera Panavision's Genesis camera that mimicks almost to perfection film's dreamy look. Directors are trying to change from film to digital video and in a few years only purists will be using film, the process used to make film pollutes the environment greatly look it up, it is not called the silver screen for nothing, actual silver is used for the processing and it goes to rivers after its cooling process. Also digital video looks more sharp and had more detail, life like images, the truth the quality of the films depends on the director not the stock used to make the film.------ here is the link for the epitaph episode scroll down to the part it says "DESCARGA DIRECTA EN UN LINK" here - http://www.machacas.org/dollhouse-1x13-epitaph-one-vosubs-elink-torrent-descarga-directa
-
...but, the game is fixed for Bad Robot to win, every time!!!

I just had a flashback to the "Caveman vs Astronauts" arguement in Angel.
-
The Sci-Fi (or SyFy?) channel, you'll probably can catch the season 2 of Dollhouse there too.
-
where's the torrent?
-
You are stating opinion. Presenting it as fact. That's how the Holocaust happened. You don't wanna be responsible for the Holocaust, do you?
-
Xvid format, 350 megs, upload to thepiratebay.org please. Or eztv.it That's where they call come from anyway. C'mon, fucker, you got a t-shirt, share the wealth. I'm not even asking for a t-shirt!
-
Like they're on a first-name basis with him. It kinda creeps me out.
-
I forgot what his real name is...but Joss isn't it.
-
So...as I always say, Joseph can really write his ass off!
-
Why do fans of Sylvester Stallone call him Sly? Equally creepy, then?
-
It was rumored at one time, I believe this was a project at Rochester Institute of Technology, located near Kodak, that you could scoop water out of the Genessee river and develop film in it due to all the excess dumped into the river.
-
DOLLHOUSE fans... we watch your show, you watch ours.... and we keep both on for a few more seasons. Deal? Good. Send your leader to me.
-
but not by much.
-
the numbers just don't add up.
-
Most Whedonites watch or have checked out "Chuck" [Adam Baldwin = Jayne]. Most Whedonites checked out or watched T:SCC [Summer Glau]. What it is: Both of your fandoms are experiencing the same growing pains that we felt during Buffy, Angel & Firefly. And now with Dollhouse.
You are asking the wrong people to tune in because most of us already are. Therefore, you too will learn to deal with disappointment along with the rest of us.
Genre TV is lucky; not kind. -
If you haven't watched it, you should because it changes the focus of how huge the show could be in concept... Season one was like the tip of the iceberg, these broader concepts could actually be the back drop for some great scifi. I hope season 2 does better this year than season 1 did.
-
Go to Mininova for the Torrent, and just type in dollhouse, or to Stream check out Surfthechannel.com under D, But make sure you haven't watched anything off mega Video in a while, as they will cut you off for an hour once you've watched 74 mins,
Enjoy!!!
It was an awesome episode!!Best thing so far from that Series, i hope every season the do a "lost episode" that would kind of be Rad!!
-
and i don't consider myself a fan as s uch, and i'm pretyy critical of his script for Alien Ressurection... that said, Josh Whedon is light-years ahead of that miserable over-rated worthless piece of shit Jar Jar Abrams media bitch. The world would do more with a few more Josh Whedons and less Jar Jar Fucking Shit Abrams.
-
His would-be girlfriend/agent/protector, his best friends girlfriend...the asian girl, and his sister.
-
and if the Fox Suits can stay out of the script-effing business, Dollhouse will achieve its potential. But Chuck has Yvonne, so it will always have the edge. And NBC Suits, even though they are not brainiacs, know better than to put Chuck on Friday nights. Bonnie "I wanted a dog on BSG" Hammer really should move to Fox--she'll fit right in.

Fareal, the first one is a fact, the second one is an opinion
by tall_boy66
If you're stating opinion as fact, that means you burned babies in ovens you disgusting fucking Nazi. You make me sick.
-
You are truly a fucking idiot considering NOBODY mentioned ANYTHING about Star Trek anywhere NEAR this thread, and you feel compelled to bring it up. Seriously, nobody finds the term "Jar Jar Abrams" witty or clever or even mildly amusing. You are a fucking degenerate retard who feels compelled to push your retardedness upon everyone in your vicinity. Why is that? Because you are a pathetic wretch of a broken man who desperately tries every single time to bring up your own petty, insane crusade. And. Nobody. Fucking. Listens. To. You. You sad little sack of crap.
-
That is because the stories and character interactions are more fluid and linear. Chuck knows who he is, his purpose, and mission, and we get to see him react to it...and care for him...and the people he cares about. Chuck falls in loves, and is forced to lie to, and sometimes betray, and hurt those whom he loves in order to protect them. That is the linear part of the show, and the story arc, that is missing from Dollhouse. We see Chuck hurt because of his circumstances...and we hurt for him...and we root for him because Chuck could be, and is, anyone of us, placed in the same odd situations...however, Echo is someone that we haven't been allowed to get to know, in order to better relate to her, fear for her, and root for her success. We can't feel her heartbreaks, because there are none. We can't root for her, because she has no enemies that we can root against--no, we instead try to get to know, and root for one of her new, and various, imprinted personalities weekly...who, in the end, are erased each time, and that is what undermines the storytelling on the show, and a chance for the audience to really form an emotional attachment to Echo as a person, and a singular personality. Remember when we see Echo, she is only a shell of a a woman, in fact, personality wise, she is a 5 year old, with no memory other than for her handlers, and fellow dolls??? We need a mature Echo, who can lead her own destiny, and make choices--someone who has her loves, her remembered, and ungoing foes...and a known purpose, a mission to live, fight, and perhaps, die for...as Chuck does. When Joss gives us that, should he give us that...then Dollhouse will eclipse Chuck, or at least, could? Until such a time as a clear effort is openly placed in that direction, to reveal Echo as a fully developed personality (with free will), it isn't going to happen. You have to give your audience a character that they can relate to, get to know, love, and root for!!!

Seriously, AsimovLives, what in the fuck goes through your head
by tall_boy66
AICN WRTIER: "hi there, this is an article on AICN about puppies!" You: "I am an overly verbose fucking moron and I feel compelled to say Jar Jar Abrams and Shit or Fuck Trek every single time." Dear Lord, do you actually think that anyone on the entire planet even agrees with you? A single solitary soul? The answer is simply no. No are alone in the universe. An insignificant dot on an insignificant on an insignificant dot in a cold and unforgiving universe. And you will always be wrong. For the rest of your sad little life. It'd make me laugh, if it weren't so pathetic. But I get a chuckle out of you anyway. Because you can't let go of your unfunny joke. God, you are all that is wrong with humanity and you don't deserve to even be allowed near other people / the internet / the human race at large. Anyone who feels insanely compelled to keep doing the exact same bit you've been doing for four months, like yourself, will never, EVER, have anyone even respect you as a human being. So, yeah, keep up the good fight AsimovLives, because even your talkback handle implies that you're a pretentious dipshit who knows nothing about anything even approaching what makes good cinema. And no one will ever love you. EVER.

is Pher Pher Brink.Like the center of mass, he is the Center Of Suckage for the show.He must go. And that right soon!Preferably in a violent, painful dismemberment, so that he cannot be brought back.
-
Spend $2. Get it off iTunes. It costs half of what a piece of crap comic book does these days.
-
Miracle Laurie is on a show people watch
-
Nyah nyah nyah.
However, Dollhouse is what I hanker to see more than anything. -
Actually, Epitaph 1 is $2.99 on iTunes.
-
Epitaph One still wins on sheer entertainment alone.

Bonus points for angry!Bamber though. -
Shame the episode hasn't leaked though.

Always a fun, snarky read. The whole show is there too, if you want to get caught up. Couch Baron is pretty fair too, pointing out the flaws as well as the good points. -
and JJ Abrams, is Joss Whedon keeps his show Dollhouse in the US, adds Alexis Denisof, and other performers who can actually act for season 2.
JJ Abrams moves his show Fringe to Canada, gets rid of Kirk Acevedo after a couple of season 2 episodes, and replaces him with I-can't-act-worth-shit Miss Big Freckle Boobies! -
While I will be watching DOLLHOUSE, it does lack (in the same way CASTLE does) in not making me deeply care about the characters, like I do with CHUCK. But then I guess that is why CHUCK has the rabid fan base, because people do care so much.
-
I love Joss Whedon!!! By example--meaning, by watching his numerous TV series...and film work, etc., he taught me much about writing, especially in the context of developing a continuous story arc--and how to write the interpersonal relationships that populate, and charge...any amazing story arc, or arcs. Why he has pulled away from this, his most wonderful gift...as a writer, in regard to "Dollhouse", I don't know...but it is desperately needed here, so that we, the viewers, can vicariously live through the lead character, or characters (entry point characters),...in order to allow us to walk in their shoes, and empathize with them...and their metaphoric personal wars, pain, fears, loves, setbacks, happiness, and triumphs--something...that makes them, those sufferings, and blessings, our own, and in that way, we can better bond with the character(s)...and the story arc, therein--as they build, and evolve, with, and to, an organtic crescendo. As I said, previously--to accomplish that task, we must be given a lead character...someone who we can follow, and get to know better..., week to week, episode to episode, just as we may with a new friend, or lover in real life--whom we can champion, and...whom work to champion us, indirectly...or whom, we feel akin to. Dollhouse has yet to give us that? Yes...we know the indifferent characters, the A-moral Dollhouse staff, but since they are indifferent, we can't really care about them...to involve...and invest ourselves emotionally...in their fates. And of course, there is Echo, a character...who is very much a Doll alright--but with no stationary personality, that being, one of substance, that we can meet, and get to know...beyond seeing her as a cypher for programmed personalities to possess--personalities, which come and go, with every episode, while failing to inform us of the most important question here--that being: Who is Echo--and what does she know, feel, want, demand, and need??? What is her interior purpose--that which gives life to something deeper, and beyond her outer shell??? This, being something...that we can only know, and experience, by being allowed to know her mind, soul, and inner voice--or at least, being led to believe that we know these things, before Joss Whedon hits us with one of his famous character, and story, sucker punch twists.

Did Alyson threaten him to get a steady job, or else?

Herc, Seriously Dude, Is Everything Okay With You?
by the_first_rule_of_fight_club
has some terrible tragedy occurred? are you down about something? why else would you be so obsessed with a show that sucks so hard? i mean, the ratio of your obsession with this piece of shit compared to its actual quality is, like, 1,000,000,000 to 1. you do realize this will get cancelled by midseason, right? anyway, dude, feel better and get happier soon.
-
@MEDIA MESSIAH (and others in the “Chuck makes you care more” camp)—perhaps reading the article at http://tv.ign.com/articles/101/1010023p1.html about the upcoming season will put to rest some of your worries about the direction of the show and Echo’s lack of substance, so to speak.
@”EPITAPH ONE changed everything for me” people—you didn’t pick up on the “this could have dire consequences” thread before THAT?! what do you think Ballard has been talking about this whole time? it wasn’t ALL about his obsession with Caroline, really! and if that was all too subtle, then Haunted was your clue. keep up! especially all the Whedonites out there. you really should know how it works by now!
@MIRACLE HATERS—“a size 0 is the new 2” and it is shameful because 2 used to be a 4 and 4 used to be a 6, etc. even Eliza admits she's lost some of her luscious booty since the BVS days (does not like it!) and she is tiny tiny (5’5”, 105lbs.) to begin with. the real world and real women are not represented in Hollywood and it results in men with unrealistic expectations of women and women with eating disorders and f’d up self esteem. btdubbs, Christina Hendricks (5’8”, weight un-locatable) was put on TV by JOSS WHEDON beginning in 2000; Angel S1E15, Firefly E6&11 (and you can see her topless with a little side-titty action in E6 Our Mrs. Reynolds—you’re welcome). are you guys going to start ripping on Amber Benson now too? she doesn’t even have big jugs, god forbid. Miracle is 5’9” and 145lbs. that is so exactly healthy! don’t believe me? want some facts? use a bmi calculator http://www.halls.md/body-mass-index/bmi.htm ! don’t make me play the Marilyn Monroe card (5’5.5”, 120lbs.)!!!
okay, I feel a little better now *whew*
-
Doing all right there?
-
It's the episode people are most fond of. It gave the show a great direction to head towards. Big mistake not to keep that storyline going simultaneously.
Still, lookin' forward to it! -
i gave it a few episodes and i just don't get it. that lead actor is such a douche-bag!
