and Burton's Batmans are better than Nolan's. Disagree if you wan't, but you're wrong.
-
That was a great movie. Goldthwait did a fantastic job as Writer/Director and it would make a perfect double bill with Bad Santa.

kjmad25, STYLISTICALLY I PREFER BATMAN 89 TO NOLAN BUT.....
by carlthormark1978
Nolan has the upper hand when it comes to story and characterization.
-
compared to today. And what the fuck is up with that flashing neon sign in every fucking Gotham shot in Burton's Batman?
-
Cause I'm think of the intro to the movie, with Batman and the two robbers on the roof. That looks nothing like cardboard to me...that looks awesome.
-
Remember the old Police Academy/Burglar Bobcat Goldwait? The one with the weird way of speaking? When did he decide to can that schtick?

every other shitty robin williams 'comedy' lately, why is everyone raving about it? it cant actually be any good?! maybe its the way they're marketing it - it just looks like RV 2 to me. written and directed by 'that twat from police academy' is nothing to be proud of either...
-
I once caught on Comedy Central. So I guess he's not 100% useless. That fucking voice though, man, makes Gilbert Gottfried sound like Barry White.
-
Saw this one last summer at the Waterfront Film Festival in Saugatuck, MI. It's an okay movie, pretty depressing, and I could have lived my whole life without Robin Williams' full frontal nudity!
-
...and I thought it was outstanding. Very reminiscent of early Alan Ball. Excellent pacing and a great soundtrack. The less you know about it going in the better. I can't wait to check out Bobcat's other movies.

Kudo's to your most excellent name. I saw Kids in the Hall Brain Candy on opening day back in 96 and I just watched it last week. Fucking great film.
-
Is the funniest movie of all time. Goldthwait directed. That's why I'm going. World's Greatest Dad is just gravy I guess.
-
Good movie, dark comedy with good character development. It's not a gag a minute type film but a slow burner with some great pay offs. Recommended.

What abourt when the camera pans up all those huge buildings
by lockesbrokenleg
If Gotham was so poor how could they afford all those huge ass Gothic style buildings?
-
Not convincing for even one moment. It looked like a high school production. I'm astonished anyone could claim to like the production design.

I usually just buy my food from the convenience store up the street where they sell and make all sorts of good shit. Their subs are excellent.

Fuck them and their cheap-ass all-purpose condiment crap. If you fuckers are ever in NJ, go to Jersey Mike's Sub shop. They make Quiznos look like a fucking dump... which it is.

Kevin Conroy Calls Christian Bale's Batman "Over the Top"
The man who has portrayed Batman longer than any other actor, often called the "true" Batman by fans, is back in Eidos' Batman: Arkham Asylum video game!
Voice actor Kevin Conroy has often been referred to as the "true voice of the Batman" after his many years breathing life into the animated Dark Knight. Conroy returns to the role that he is most famous for in Eidos' Batman: Arkham Asylum video game, which recently was awarded the Guinness World Record for "Most Critically Acclaimed Superhero Game Ever."
Also returning to the Batman universe is Mark "Luke Skywalker" Hamill as the Joker. About Hamill, Conroy said:
"I think Mark created the definitive 'crazy' Joker. There's no question Heath Ledger gave an unbelievable performance in The Dark Knight as a scheming, anarchist Joker. But Mark perfected that fun, insane character."
Conroy wasn't as kind to Christian Bale, however. He said:
"I thought Christian was excellent as Bruce Wayne, but I didn't understand his choices (with his portrayal of Batman). I thought it was over the top and distracted from his scenes as Batman. I'm not sure what they -
would be better suited for the batman role?
-
fucking Ashton Kutcher as Bruce Wayne/Batman. I can't even find the words to describe....
