(I never get tired saying that name. prefered the admiral version though, as brief as it was...)
anyway, Lithgow is marvelously great in the first episode. his intro alone makes him better bad guy (almost said "big bad", but that would just remind herc that buffy and angel are gonne, and he would cry himself to sleep. again. ) then ice truck killer, lila, skinner and MIGUUUUEEEEELLLLL were all together. also, even for dexter, that scene is waaaaay creepy.
all I'm saying is, I could have gone trough my life without seeing Lithgow's butt twice in 54 minutes.
but not to be just offtopic, can't wait for VB to come back. also, anyone else thinks that herc used the lamest line from trailer as the headline? :p

This is coming from someone who had A LOT of problems with season three, and not being an apologist for the show in the least. But this premiere is FANTASTIC. Everyone has something worthwhile to do; Dexter's adjustments with a baby are genuinely interesting and suspenseful, and the hints at fucked up Lithgow are perfect.

    by aquatarkusman

I think it was during the Hitler part. I know that he and Kevin Conroy are doing voice cameos at some point in Season 4. As for the lack of Samson, I think the Astrobase team is holding down costs by getting rid of all regular semi-celebrity voices that aren't them. Be careful during the Season 5 contract negotiations, Urbaniak!

If you watch the Comicon footage (which I believe starts after the trailer on CN now) they state that Warburton is still under contract, but that they tease the audience as to when Brock will be back.
As I posted earlier, they may just be busting balls with this trailer and the comicon stuff and may bring him back as early as the first episode. I believe they were coy about the Venture Brothers after the end of the first season as well.

Brock Jr.? He's such an annoying little toerag of a plot device - let's just hope they kill him off quickly in a grotesque manner. If Jackson & Doc needed a teenage impetus to push Hank into rebelliousness, I'd have much preferred them to bring back Kim to use her feminine wiles on Hank, thus finally claiming her destined fate to be a supervillain. All that aside tho, season 4 looks to be a boatload o' win!

I think Jackson/Doc get a lot of inquiries concerning whether Kim's story-arc would ever get completed, but it doesn't seem like it (she's apparently a hit with at least the male fans). As for Dermot, it should be interesting as an impressionable Hank transitions to adult with this douche as a spirit-guide instead of Brock. As for Thirlwell, the music he put together for the Lepidopterists (fake cocoon vs. death ray) still gives me chills.

VB is about 29 million flavours of awesome. Seriously.

I can't wait for the new season, and feel blessed that the Gods actually allowed me to see the trailer as Adult Swim's website vids are usually not available in the uk (the cunts). Disappointed there'll be no Kim, but love Hank's new look. As for Dermot, I'm not sure it's ever been specifically stated that he is Brock's son. At the end of that episode his mother just asks "Did you meet him?" so I wouldn't be surprised to find it's someone else who was at the "open day". Oh yeah, definitely more Colonel Gentleman! The Venture Brothers may be the finest television show currently in production.

Jackson Public and Doc Hammer have taken what started out as a Johnny Quest meets the retarded Hardy Boys parody and turned it into something deep, rich and relevant.

Good stories especially genre stories create a believable universe that adheres to its own rules and Venture Brothers has the finest universe continuity I have ever seen. The characters have real motivations, they are well rounded and multidimensional.

The best part of course is that this is TV by geeks for geeks with jokes about everything from Star Wars to 80s punk bands.

Name me another show where you will get Scooby Doo jokes and jokes about the S.C.U.M. manifesto in the same episode (I know that one was written by Ben Edlund but still its par for the course on this great show.

Season 4 looks to be epic.

Go now to you local video emporium or Amazon and purchase seasons 1-3 of the Venture Brothers you will not be disappointed.

Yep, they DO get a lot of questions and requests about bringing back Kim - which is exactly why they don't. I've watched their panels from comic cons in San Diego, New York, Chicago, and at DragonCon, and both Publick & Hammer seem to take glee in the fact that they consciously steer away from what the fans clamor for. And I'm sorry, but I just don't find Dermot interesting at all - he's probably just an animated version of some bully that used to beat up Doc Hammer in elementary school.
