Footage Of The VENTURE BROS. Panel At This Year's Comic Con!!

Published at:  Aug 14, 2009 4:03:46 PM CDT

SPOILER ALERT !!

I am – Hercules!!

“Venture Bros.” creator-writer-actor Jackson Publick, writer-actor Doc Hammer and the actors who play Rusty and Dean explain what to expect in season four!

For those who have inquired, we’ll likely get around to transcribing our Comic-Con interview with Jackson and Doc closer to the season’s autumn premiere (precise date still undetermined). Hopefully the recording will be intelligible over the loud music at the Entertainment Weekly party we were in the middle of.

The news is good for David Bowie fans; less good for fans of Triana’s pal Kim.

Here’s a preview: When asked if one-time caroling partner Bing Crosby knew of Bowie’s role as The Sovereign, the creators suggested Bowie probably inherited the role from Crosby.

    by hollywoodhellraiser

Am I alright watching this show out of order?

    by thewaqman

Because I've seen a few re-runs and the show is pretty funny. It doesn't follow an overall story arc does it?

You should watch them in order.

    Watch them in order TheWaqman

    by ironmuskrat

You can get away with watching the first season not in any particulate order. But after that watch them in order. One of the fun things about the venture Brothers is the way it evolved from a simple spoof of Johnny Quest to creating its own unique world and mythology of characters.

I agree Venture Bros is on the best animated things ever

    by zargotron

The cast of characters, the evolving story lines, the extensive geek references, etc, etc, etc...it just keeps getting better and better. Robot Chicken, on the other hand is stupid, ADD, lame, and filled with comedy along the lines of fart jokes. It is a moronic show for morons.

in the top 10 of anything produced for tv in the past 10 years not one boring episode, and the only show that understands the importance of continuity

    I love Venture Brothers!

    by atomica

One of my favorite shows, well EVER. All of their homage-spoofs of existing characters from Comics and Cartoons defy expectations! I really want to see their versions of the X-men (Uncanny, not original), Thundercats and He-man. ;)

Totally agree. I actually find some of the stuff in it quite moving sometimes - on top of being hilarious, of course.

    FUCKING Hate Venture Bros... Panels.

    by jt kirk

I've gone to Comic-Con 3 years in a row only to get skunked for the fucking Venture Bros. panel every goddamned year! Waiting in 2 hour lines only to find out the room was filled long before because it's a TINY fucking shithole. This year they played the double-assfuck by moving the panel the DAY BEFORE to a different room. Fuck Comic-Con jerkoffs for scheduling one of the most popular things in tiny rooms! Fuck them in their stupid eyes until their eyes cum their ocular fluid all over your meat-sword. They could put Venture Bros in ballroom 20 which holds 6000 people and it'd fill up, but instead they put it in 6DE which isn't even in FUCKING ALPHABETICAL ORDER on that aisle and it only holds 240. Urbaniak looks way more normal than usual, while Sinterniklaas looks odder. I can't imagine that 10 minutes was all the stuff at the panel though.

    Watch the DragonCon panel...

    by hairy nutsack

The panel itself was much better and funnier. What you can't see much of in the video is the dueling Venture costumes. Loads of absolutely beautiful costumes and the insanity was that people were even trying to be in character. Hilarious. There was even a King Gorilla, unreal! I have a few pics if anyone wants to see them.

    Holy Mackerel, JT Kirk...

    by johnnyquest666

Tell us how you REALLY feel...

I love the show, too, but if I had been there, I would have asked the guy who voices Dean, "Did you know your last name means Santa Claus?"

I mean, was that something they came up with at Ellis Island, or does his family just really love the holidays? I'm just askin'...
