Hercules Declares NBC’s COMMUNITY Broadcast's Best New Sitcom Pilot Of The Fall!! Watch It In Its Entirety NOW!!
I am – Hercules!!
I tell you now what I just told USA Today:
NBC’s “Community,” which centers on a community-college study group, is fall’s best new network sitcom pilot.
It’s from writer-producer Dan Harmon, a key creative force behind the hit movie “Monster House” and Comedy Central’s superb “The Sarah Silverman Program,” and for the time being you can watch the whole thing.
Become a fan on Facebook and watch the pilot episode!
Don't dilly-dally, as I think this is only up for a few days. If you miss it you'll have to wait till its Sept. 17 premiere on NBC.

The dude deserves to be a huge star. I hope this helps that happen.
-
Still, good to see Chevy Chase getting some work.
-
Yeah, that's right. Feel free to bitch and moan, but I'm sticking my head above the trenches and saying that. By the way Palimpsest, I'd gladly swap this 'USA only' show for some 'UK only' Match Of The Day. Whilst I've gained some things by moving here, I've also lost some thanks to the BBC's content blocking to other countries...

Okay, so we have The Office, Parks, and now Community?

What's next? Jail? Hospitals?

"Bro Rape"
-
Liz Lemon's The Girly Show is apparently hiring writers lol
-
I'm watching it because they're in it. Also the tv spots looked pretty funny. I'll check it out when it premieres in September.
-
Bonus points for the sadly-relevant Breakfast Club references
-
Watched the first half and then it crashed, but I liked what I saw so far.
-
hopefully the show grows even more from here. awkward(but funny) ending though
-
Very funny, especially since I start community college in two weeks.
-
Los Angeles Community College. Go check for yourselves fuckers.
-
I can wait until this airs. Or pops up on Hulu. I'm not going to promote this thing by "endorsing" it by becoming a Facebook friend unless they pay me. Just stay on The Soup as well, Joel.
-
have you all forgotten so soon? however, this looks like the kind of thing chevy should've been doing all along. i haven't watched the episode but i've seen the promos on tv, and it's good to see chevy taking a page from the bill murray playbook and doing a supporting role that allows him to use his deadpan humour to maximum effect instead of chatting with celebs or trying to make a whole film of himself. this looks like a winner for him -- "bears have feet." now if only eddie murphy could learn that lesson as well.
-
I really liked it,though it crapped out on me about 2/3 through. Paired up with The Office & 30 Rock will make for fun Thursday nights.
-
He came to Portland on his stand-up tour. Hilarious stuff. I wanted to meet him afterward at his meet and greet, but I was with friends who had a baby at home. Oh well. I'm looking forward to this... and I'm SO glad he's still going to host The Soup!
-
when devito was added as a regular.. did that hold up? fans of this show used to be so annoying about it until then
-
Based on the preview image I wasn't sure who I was seeing there. Scary to think that Chevy Chase aged so much in so little time.

Facebook is like being gagged, bound, tossed in a trunk and taken to your high school reunion. Being better looking, better educated and happier than everyone there does not make up for having the worst job and income in the room. Everything comes with a cost, I guess. Of course it's one of the few places in the world where you can ask former neanderthal classmates how it feels to date rape cheerleaders without fear of getting your ass kicked because they've all become flabby, emasculated slaves to child support, waving their now limp fists in the air to conservative talk radio in order to vent the anger they feel from living half an empty life. From that description, you would assume there's fun involved. Not so.
So yeah, not worth facebook.
Hey look, a social network. That sounds friendly, safe and fun. WAIT! COME BACK HERE WITH MY DIGNITY AND PRIVACY!! Perhaps we can entice you back with dead ex girlfriends and your ex wife buddying up with all your old friends!!
You never really delete a Facebook account either. It's kind of just... paused. KNOTHXBYE -

Great job!

While the writing in this show was okay, it wasn't laugh out loud funny. It certainly isn't the best new sitcom of the fall. That honor falls to "Cougar Town", which while, granted, sounds like a horrible comedic premise (Courtney Cox playing a middle aged mother looking for rejuvination and excitement in Florida), is created and written by Bill Lawrence (Scrubs) and is much more witty and better timed than this show is. Not sure if you've seen it or not, but if so would love to hear your feedback on how it compares. Best.
-
I think he's aging one year at a time, just like the rest of us.
-
Everytime Herc says something is the best thing since the invention of 69ing it sucks donkey balls. Besides that...I didn't have high hopes after the completly unfunny clips. I'll give it a chance in font memory of Chevy Chase's better days when there is a downloadable version. Judging by the trailers and critical praise (from people with better taste than herc )I think Modern Family will be the funniest comedy of the new season. Maybe Cougar Town and Malcolm ...ahh I mean.. The Middle are watchable too.

Funnier than that "hilarious" class room clip from Funny People?
by v'shael
Which you raved about and was as funny as cancer?
That's the problem when you try to be subtle, and fail at it. You just sink your own credibility, what little of it there was, regarding your taste in anything. -
I don't usually like Sitcoms, but that was really good. It even had some decent breakfast club jokes.
-
he is clearly more talented than ANY of the 90s SNL people. Yet fools like Sandler and Ferrell get lots of films, and Murphy reduces himself to Nutty Proffessor 5 and Norbit 2. He needs a hard-R HBO special, just like the good old days. And some funny movies. Preferably without him being 5 characters. He aint no Peter Sellars.
-
dude....we get it. a lot of people thought that clip wasn't funny. move on. it's okay to let go of the problems you had with a video that was posted a few weeks ago. no need to bring it up again.....just move on. it's okay. it's over. nobody would be thinking about the clip if you didn't bring it up. let go.

Reiner is a comic genius.
Chase is a hack. One season on SNL
He'd be Garret Morris and Lorraine Newman if he didn't have Weekend Update
-
At least Morris and Newman were funny sometimes
-
During college, McHale was in a late night Seattle comedy show with Bill Nye, a venture that I wish more local affiliates would partake in to support local artists. And it is amusing to see Joel wearing a mullet.........Community was good, but I thought Modern Family was funnier and the cast more appealing: a subtle, low key Ed O'Neill, the hot Mexican piece of ass he is married to, and the wonderment of Julie Bowen remaining fuckable despite not completely shedding the baby weight.
-
Seriously though this looks good, I plan to watch it in September. I'll probably drop 30 Rock which is getting old fast.
-
BE LIKE BILLY! That late night comedy show was hilarious. Stayed on for years, too. You're right, local TV should take chances like that again. Public access still exists in some places, but it's sometimes run in a way that prevents real experimentation.
More on topic, I actually liked the first half of this show. Unfortunately, I think the link/site went away halfway through and I missed the end. Just a partial download. I'll watch for sure. -
although herc's barometer of funny is a bit off since he recommed the pile of shit that is parks. joel mchale on the soup is worth watching. he seems like a cool guy. his stuff does make me laugh. i wish its a success for him, as much as i fucking hate nbc. Chicken Tetrazini

its missing the end bit!
