Cool News
Updating delayed til later tonight! But... here's a few bits on MAD MAX, STAR WARS, RUSH HOUR 2 and DINOSAURS
Hey folks, Harry here. Right this very second I am mere yards from the ocean preparing for a daring information heist of epic proportions. Moriarty and I are getting ready to do... that which we do best. Infiltrate and come back with... knowledge.
Forgive me if I'm being deliberately vague, but... you know... I ain't Babe Ruth, I'm not going to point to where I'm gonna knock the ball... But I will say it's gonna head out of the park.
I will give a hint, cause I'm curious to see if any talk backers can put it together with this little information. The mission is of great interest to fans in the UK, concerning a film which will bring world wide acclaim to .... ah ah ah... You didn't say the magic word.
Patience. All will be revealed to you soon. Tomorrow's update will be... glorious. Heheheheheheh.
Meanwhile, I want to address and give y'all a couple of rumors floating around at the moment.
Rumor has it that George Miller is writing MAD MAX 4. This is true. However, some places are saying that Mel Gibson is attached and committed to starring in it. This is, as far as I know, bullshit. First, Mel would not commit till a script was finished. Second, Mel would hold off till he drained Warner Brothers of a princely sum that would make the LETHAL WEAPON 4 deal look like alms for the poor. Now, I hope this movie comes to pass, and I hope Mel and George Miller do it, and I hope it kicks ass. BUT I figure I should give you a realistic rundown on where things are. The scoop that is out there has been shifting in form. Initially it was just reported that George was writing a 4th film. Somewhere along the way, as it moved from website to website, Mel's name was added.
Then I got this bit in about RUSH HOUR 2
I got this information around April, but i've just got the web now.
My friend, who works at New Line, tells me a script has been finalised for
Rush Hour 2. He also adds Chan is 100% ready for the film, and the only
stumbling block is Chris Tucker's long schedule, and a few racial jokes that
may be too over the top. The film will be set in Japan, and involves Tucker's
character being kidnapped. (that's what he said!).
The interesting point is he seemed sure the film would start mid 2000.
Very interesting. I haven't heard any media rumours of Rush Hour 2, so maybe
take it with a grain of salt.
Meanwhile, TheForce.Net has recently claimed that the way things are looking there is a possiblity that the next STAR WARS could possibly be ready for 2001... BUT According to this recent interview with Lucas... It's headed in the opposite direction!
Hey, Harry! Matt here, webmaster of Episode2.net. I just found some HUGE
Episode II news from a Swedish interview with George Lucas at the Swidish
E-mag Expressen (the article is at
http://expressen.se/article.asp?id=21459). Lucas says that it looks like it
will be 2003 before Episode II is released! Such a sad article to have come
out this past Friday, the 13th, huh? It has been translated to English by a
Swedish visitor to my site (or at least the important stuff). If you post
it, I'd appreciate a link to Episode2.net. Thanks a ton! Here's the
important parts of the article, including the 2003 stuff:
WHAT CAN YOU TELL US ABOUT THE COMMING PREQUELS?
-How about the title of the the next film "Episode 2" (hahaha). No,
honestly, I can't and don't really want to say anything more then that the
next film is a lovestory between Anakin and Queen Amidala
WHEN WILL THE NEXT FILM BE RELEASED?
-From the beginning my plans where to make them with three years interval,
but now I've realised that it takes four years to do a movie in reality,
because the production has been even more extensive than I could imagine.
Still, the vision of course is to release "Episode 2" in 2002, but as it
seems today, its more likely be in 2003.
HOW ARE THINGS GOING WITH EP.2?
-Right now, I dont do anything, I've decided to have a vacation the whole
summer until september, the rest I have to worry about this fall. But its
already decided that we are going to shot much of the film in Australia, and
our producer has been working with the pre-production since a while back
now.
There you go.

NOTE: IF YOU ARE ABLE TO MIRROR THE BELOW TRAILER, PLEASE DO SO AND LET ME KNOW! THANK!
And lastly... Thanks to TheOneRing.Com you can now download the trailer for Disney's Memorial Day 2000 gigantic film DINOSAUR!!! The look of this film is simply amazing. But here ya go, the two links where you can get this 25 meg trailer! Enjoy! One is at www.chasers.net/dinosaurs/dino.zip
! If you can mirror these, post a link down in TALK BACK, as I expect the demand to be pretty high for this one.

How good can a new Mad Max really be? Beyond Thunderdome was beyond bad especially once Max left the city and encountered Mad Barneys troop. Kids? Please. What this franchise needs is another Humongous and his merry men. Here's hoping they find someone younger and still dynamic to take up the mantle of Max or whatever new name they give him (or, oh God, her? Naaah)
-
I was first. Yes I was. Now my life is complete and I can look forward to all of the inane talk backs centered on my inanity instead of responding to the news.
-
I thought i would take this frist posting to share a poem with all of you, it is called "Ode to the little green lump of putty i found in my armpit one summer morning" That is all i got so far.

The News just said that Mel Gibson agreed to star in Mad Max 4..
by quentin2
Hmmm... They said "Mel Gibson has said that he will agree to star in the fourth installation of the Mad Max series. A fourth script has been written by George Miller." That was reported on my local tv news, so....take it as you will... I don't know how well informed they are, maybe they just got it from rumors and such...
-
Look, to the asshole that wanted a young fresh face to play Max.... MEL GIBSON IS MAD MAX! Period. Whether or not you liked Beyond Thunderdome is irrevelant!! I could never envision anyone else playing this role!!! Thinking about Heath Ledger as Max makes me want to vomit!
-
I think the Mad Max flicks have run their grim, apocalyptic course. Time to resuscitate both of Mr. Miller's franchises by combining them. Since Mel is so good in buddy movies (Lethal Weapon) and since Max is an ex-pig (cop), why not pair up Max and Babe. Two pigs in a post-nuclear world full of feral kids and non-feral animals. There was an unexplored pig motif in Beyond Thunderdome. And Babe; Pig In The City already demonstarted a leaning toward darker themes for the adorable porcine wonder. The movie can start with Mel and his dog enjoying truffles. And Babe will give Mel somebody to talk to during those long desert chases.
-
Big T here. Alright sounds like their is big news afoot so let me take you through on my thoughts on each movie one at a time. Episode 2- Okay the rumor mill is flying although I am quite surprised to hear George thinks the film will be pushed back to 2003. Hmm to tell you the truth I think it will. With all the new technology they will be using their are bound to be problems. I say their is about a 70 percent chance the film goes in 2003. One quick note- George may be taking some time off from the prequels to help design the new Star Wars rides at the Disney theme parks so that might be it. Mad Max- Okay first off the return of George Miller to direct is almost definitely. As for Mel Gibson dont count him out because he did do Payback which in its soul was a kickass movie and thats what the whole mad max series is about. If George really wants to bring back the audience he has to do 2 things. One get Gibson. Two make his character more kickass and kind of reintroduce him to the new kids. Also dont tag along any villians from the past films make it a new start like the chucky series. Rush Hour 2- This film is gonna be made. Jackie and Chris will do it for the money thats it. This film could be out as early as late next year. Remember their were no HUGE effects in the first film. Big T out.
-
I read with bemusement that some "black" jokes are too over the top in the current draft of RH2 since it is always a given that any Asian-centric jokes will be much more stereotypical and over the top. I hope New Line is sensistive to this film's Asian following and not fall abck on tired jokes about chop sticks, bowing businessmen in dark suits, "r's" that sound like "l's" and geisha girls as Chris Tucker romps around yelping "Sayonara, baby!"
-
I'm assuming Todd's post was a guess for the "Hitchhiker's Guide" film, but I doubt that that's it. The reason is that the director helming this pic is set to be Jay Roach, and he and Douglas Adams pretty much already have "world wide acclaim". I'd be more willing to bet on a greenlight (and somewhat unknown director or star) for the "Dr. Who" movie, but cynicism begs otherwise. Maybe Adam Rifkin wants to continue his music-themed projects and has signed to direct "Spice World 2".
-
1) A previously unsuspected British actor has signed to play Aragorn (go Tim Roth go!); 2) Blackadder Five: Life Among the Royals; 3) Somebody greenlit V for Vendetta, to be done by Boyle & Hodge (or maybe that Lock Stock & Two Smoking Barrels guy); 4) Tarantino (eh? who's that?) has been in London for two months working on his WWII flick, set during the Battle of Britain. Anton Sirius - Super Genius. Thank you- thank you very much.
-
...I hope to Goddess I'm wrong on all four counts, which is likely, being such a prat and all.
-
Look dillweed, of course Mad Max=Mel Gibson. HOWEVER(!): Are you really willing to forgo double-digit millions of the budget just for his salary and another few million for his stunt doubles (come on, he's getting a little long in the tooth). Granted, he looked good in LW4, but still, there's such a thing
as pushing the limits of credibility. I'd settle for something along the lines of the new Batman Beyond where Max is Mel with less screen time (*if* that brings his salary down) and a new guy does all the real ass kicking. All in all, though, I wouldn't mind just considering the franchise ended with Road Warrior and leave it at that. -
Though Tim Roth is a cool idea, I thought Stuart Townsend was a lock for Aragorn. That's what Mr. Showbiz and onering.net have reported. I have no idea what the scoop is. I am excited.
-
Maybe there won't be a Mad Max 4 or a Naked Gun 4 after all. Leslie Nielson and Gibson could get together and make a spoof of post-apocalyptic films. I think this is genre of films that has yet to be exploited in the name of parody. I think this is what Mad Max 4 will be anyway, especially in the wake of Waterworld/Postman. I guess it's irrelevant though. I'll still be in line on opening day.
-
I've just watched the Disney Dinosaurs trailer... OOOH MY GODDDDD!! It's totally freakin' awesome!! I was expecting something good but woooaahh I'm blown away! The animation, the textures the cinematography, all superlative! That's just the low res download, I can't wait to see this movie at the cinema. Star Wars had me in a frenzy, but I feel even the mighty Lucas is gonna pale beside this. My heart felt congratulations to all the people who worked on this. I'm so excited I may explode!!
-
After complaints by many studio heads that Babe 2: Pig In The City was far too dark to attract an audience and large Box Office receipts, it has been announced that former badass Mad Max will now fight for happiness everywhere. He'll globe-hop on a multi-continental adventure, knocking the crap out of big meany heads and frowning people everywhere. If Mad Max don't see a smile on your face, he's going to knock one onto it! http://www.almostcool.org

i am guessing "doctor who":
with the BBC opening up co-operation with American production houses for
their shows, and Dreamworks continued interest in developing a series, i hope that this is it. i personally think Doctor Who should stay on the
small screen.
IMHO.

Bloody Jesus, Mother Mary and all the Saints!!! Are these folks just dying, praying for some new influx of originality? Oh, well. And now, ST is being delayed another year. Well, that's just dandy, damnation. Guess that elliminates the vaunted ST:EpII/LOTR showdown. Here's what needs to happen; one of Cameron's or whomever's lice infested-Hollywood-slave-drones stumbles upon a copy of Forstchen's 'LOST REGIMENT #1' on his way to the coffee machine and carries it back to his lord-master precipitating the genesis of the most AWESOME Hollywood blockbuster ever stumbled upon! Please, somebody NEEDS to make a movie based on that book, damn me!!! Every geek lovin' bastardo the world over would practically go mad with delight!!!
-
Forget Mad Max, how about a sequel to Metalstorm: The Destruction of Jared-Syn. Now there was a classic!
-
Oops, I pushed send before anything was ready. My guess for the big posting tomorrow is Dr. Who. It has that British appeal, not to mention Western film geek adulation.
-
TSIA. I just know it.
-
Robert Duvall's soccer movie. I heard they were doing a 50,000 casting call for extras in a crowd scene. I think in England. Not huge news, though. Come to think of it, does anyone really want to see a soccer movie?
-
Sunday's New York Times had a lengthy article on George Miller and Mad Max's 20th anniversary, which says "Miller is preparing a script for a fourth installment" which "will take Max in a new direction" and "he believes Mr. Gibson will be interested in playing the rejuvenated Max." By the way the article says Max's last name is Rocketanski, which is only said once in the entire trilogy, in the opening moments of Mad Max, overheard on a police radio. Now ya know.
-
Possible news on the Hitchhiker's Guide movie.....let me get my towel.
-
wow! The animation definitely is mind blowing. We're still left to wonder about characters and story though. The trailer doesn't reveal any of that.
-
Mad Max 4, Jurassic Park 3, Scream 3, Naked Gun 4, Rush Hour 2... I've come to the conclusion that hollywood has run out of ideas.
The only place u can see "original" or "never-been-executed-this way-before" movies is on the indie circuit it seems.
Hollywood needs less young talentless acting blood and more young talented creative blood. -
my friend from ireland told me, when he met ewan mcgregor, just walking down a hilly path, with just his wife, no fans, no nothing, that he was there shooting a film about james joyce.. but that was a while ago, when episode one was being released there, so he had something else to talk about. it probably isn't what harry is referring to at all, but, i just thought that was interesting anyways.
-
DH's post sounded like a PR blurb, try again weasel but next time try to sound sincere. To the Cynics, I salute you MAGNIFICENT BASTARDS!!
-
Uh no... This is more and likely bullshit... I mean, come on! Episode 2 was original going to be released in 2001, but the better date was 2002. 2003, on the other hand, uh no. I believe that according to producer Rick McCallum, there's already conceptual art being done and Lucas is close to finishing the screenplay (I think, I don't know). Casting is supposed to take place this fall (I believe). and then there's 2000 and 2001. Two friggin years that allow George Lucas to film Episode 2 and do those dazzling visual/special effects. Look, remember when George Lucas announced that Phantom Menace was going to be released on May 19th instead of May 21st? He said progress was going so well, that he moved the released a couple of days back. If Episode 2 is going to be released in 2003, then maybe it's due to the digital camera thang, but I dunno. BULLSHIT NEWS!

mad max 4... mel is max! it could be cool, but who knows? if mel has decided to attach his name to the project, unfinished script or not. what's the big deal? questioning the man' artistic integrity ... does he have any? i believe so ... Braveheart was a great piece of work, a project of passion. LW4... he did that for money ... so what! did i like it ? no! you have to remember, the man has a job and adding 20 mill. to the account doesn't hurt! what's more important artistic merit or getting paid! it depends ... that's the actor's choice ... do you believe old sly did the rocky movies for art or the cash? what about Mr.Stewart ? i guess playing a bald mutant is challenging! than again maybe, it is? who knows?
what do you guys think? -
It could be that Harry has found out who will helm SPIDER-MAN. It could also be some info Harry got from Frank Darabount and Chuck Russell about DOC SAVAGE. I hope it is some info on Schwarzenegger's war film WITH WINGS AS EAGLES and that Paul Verhoeven will direct it. After all, Arnold could get critical acclaim for that picture.

The Internet Movie Database is reporting today that George Miller told the BBC that Mel Gibson has read the script and agreed to the role. Miller is quoted as saying "it will take Max in a new direction." Mad Max was Mad Max. Road Warrior was Mad Max meets A Boy and His Dog. Beyond Thunderdome was Mad Max meets Lord of the Flies. What will 4 be? Hmmmm... Mad Max meets Predator? To check out the story for yourself, here's the URL: http://us.imdb.com/StudioBrief/#3 .......Mark13

And I don't mean Sandra! Lucas boasted in Cinefex 78 that TPM effects were completed in 18 months an the actual filming of actors took 2-3 months, and that he planned on non-linear editing to reduce post-production work and also implementing real-time sound editing in the next installment(This would also reduce the heavy post-production burden.)I predict 2002,will be the release window regardless of what everyone says, Lucas has the next generation goodies. And on that thought, why is Lucas giving up secrets to the swiss? And secondly, I thought Lucas was doing something in conjunction w/ Peter Jackson while he was shooting LOTR?Possibly some time-sharing bluescreen sets...just wonderin...
-
well, if 2003 is the release date, then oh hell it will be worth the wait... Anyway, let's just hope that Lucas utilizes his time well like he did with Episode 1
-
Maybe Harry caught wind of the fact that the BBC is set to make the Titus novels ito a series???? - I hope they make them as movies, since the visual possibilities are amazing (who needs a screenplay?, the novels tell you exactly what to do!)
-
Now that was a brilliant trailer. I could feel my blood start pumping faster as the music kicked in and the seed (egg?) was dropped. The texture mapping?!?!?! Unbelievable. The best part is that the trialer doesn't give away much in terms of story. Anyone who helped to create deserves to commended.

Episode 2 will be titled "The Mystery of the Sith."
-
LOTR Aragorn has already been cast, you idiot!! Stuart Townsend will play him! Obviusly you missed the AICN article. Go to http://www.aint-it-cool-news.com/display.cgi?id=4076
-
Look, I already told you that this is what was reported on my local news! Now IMDB is reporting it too! Mel Gibson HAS read the George Miller script and HAS agreed to reprise his role!
-
Face it, gang: the Ep2 title is gonna be something just like the above. So let's just start calling it ALA now. It'll lessen the blow when the real, less stupid (hopefully) title is announced sometime in the next century.
-
I saw Jackie Chan on Regis & Kathie Lee (I watched just because Chan was on it) and he said production for RH2 should begin around the end of 1999 or beginning of 2000. He didn't mentin anything particular about a script or release date. Please keep me informed if you hear anything. Thank you.
-
C'mon guys, you can do better then that.
-
I think with the team of Jackie Chan and Chris Tucker, ALMOST ANY joke regarding the Black race or the Chinese, could not push the envelope enough. I welcome all Black jokes, all Chinese jokes, and all White Caucasion jokes (I'm White Caucasion) -- the more, the merrier. No one ever said anything in the 1986 movie Gung Ho when Michael Keaton cracked a remark to a Japanese auto maker about losing "the Big One." When the ethnic jokes are made by the ethnic person himself, it adds character to that person. When Chris Rock did his stand-up segment on the difference between Black people and niggers, I laughed my ass off! Even when he referred to White people as Crackers, I laughed even harder. Though the movie's comedy should not rely on ethnic humor, its should focus on the same tone RH1 did -- the newfound relationship between Tucker and Chan.
-
I am not now, nor have I ever been employed by the mouse.
-
First of all I highly doubt Mel will do a 4th Mad Max as i heard years ago how he didn't even want to do the 3rd one! but that aside, I could only watch a MAD MAX film with Mel. How can anyone make an insane suggestion of one without him?? a younger Max?? FUCKKKKK OFFFFF!!!! That's bound to turn out as a straight to video piece of garbage then!!! if that happens!!
Now, Dillrod?? what's all this "It's all about the numbers for this imported whore" talk???? Is that jealousy I sense?? I assume your referring to the large cash sum the man got for Lethal Weapon 4??? So your trying to tell me that if you were offered $25 MILLION (At least) to make a guaranteed success! you would turn it down?!?!?!?!? LIKE HELL MATE. Don't come over all high and mighty on that one! Oh and as for the "imported whore!" crap you mentioned. I assume your American?? well so's Mel (unfortunately for him), so what you talking about dickless??? -
I really wish 'Episode 2' would come out in 2002: that would mean one less year of fanatical Internet hype.
-
I think that it is ironic that if Lucas ever releases a Special Edition of EP1, he would have to replace all the CGI characters with real actors to make the film better. I think that Boss Hogg could play Boss Nass, Jar Jar could be played by......dam i don't know, Mr Hanky i suppose,(ok he is not a human, i know, but it might have worked better)Also, to save money on EP2, Lucas could just import some people playing Starcraft and use that as battle footage, it would look just as real as the final Gungun battle in EP1.
I love jackie chan. -
The file is located at www.chasers.net/dinosaurs/dino.zip not where they listed it.
Also becuase of the huge demand I have removed the file off the server that I have to pay for GB transfered, so www.theonering.com one will not work.

from IMDB "GIBSON REPORTEDLY WILL RETURN IN MAD MAX 4
Mel Gibson has approved the script for Mad Max 4 and is keen on reprising his role as the post-apocalyptic road warrior, writer-director George Miller has told the BBC. "People have been waiting for Max's return for a long time," Miller said. In fact, it has been penciled in on Universal's production schedule for more than a year. "It's going to take Max in a new direction," said Miller, who was roundly criticized for taking another character that he created, the talking pig Babe, in a new direction in last year's sequel. The original Mad Max (1979), released in 1978, established Gibson as a star." Elsewhere, I doubt Harry's UK news has anything to do with either "Hitchhiker's" or "Dr. Who", although I'd love to hear good reports from either. No, knowing our luck, it'll probably be that that damned pop group Boyzone is making the "BoyWorld" flick. Okay, now I must consult my deprogrammer/paid abuser.
-
I think they should get Macaulay Culkin to play Mad Max, or maybe even Anakin...
-
Could The Guide be the longest script in pre-production ever.
The script ad the idea of putting the Guide on the big screen was originally greenlighted in 1984!!
If anyone has a movie that was greenlighted for longer than fourteen years post it.
(I am of course excluding Episode one because despite being considered for over twenty years it was probably scripted by Lucas while he was having a bath one day.) -
Just heard from George and he says the title of the next Star Wars flick will be: Star Wars Episode 2: My Heart Will Go On. Apparently, young poor slave Anakin meets rich upper class Amidala on what is billed as the world's largest spaceship. Despite their class difference and the fact that she is engaged to Darth Shopping Mall (Billy Zane with hair), they make love in a Pod Racer parked in the bowels of the spaceship. But tragedy hits when the spaceship hits an ice planet and Amidala must decide whether to stay with Anakin or escape in a space pod. My spies tell me that Kathy Bates will play a sympathetic alien named Mesa-ree.
-
Vague enough to be annoying, so in response I shall now reply in sarcasm.
Manchester United: The Movie. The 3x champs from the Man. United team are beamed aboard The Enterprise that happened to have travelled back in time to stop the borg or some such crap. Once on board, David Beckham is slow roasted and fed to the crew. In a ravenous style idea, the crew become super strong and super horny. Data confeses his love to Picard and well.... it gets a bit steamy from here on in. But needless to say the rest of the Man. United team dress up in 60 clothing and go around the galaxy fighting crime and excess facial hair screaming YEAH BABY YEAH!
Anyone wanting to buy the full script for this can offer me a million dollars and take it. First in best dress people.
Go the gunners (I hate soccer.) -
Exactly George.. go for the G/Y6 rating..
-
Holy TARDIS! Could the Doctor be back? Could the greatest sci-fi show actually be getting a shot at the American silver screen (no, sorry, those crappy Dalek movies don't count)? Doctor Who shows that - lo and behold - a good, mature, innovative storyline with great heroes, villians, and monsters (all you Trekkies - the Cybermen predated the Borg by oh...about 20+ years!), and an immense $4.52 special effects budget can succeed (pay attention Mr. Lucas)! Eye candy is nice, but the Doc lasted 26 years in England with special effects created with an Intellivision! Wait a second, off in the distance, I think I see a blue police box....
-
Send in Vader! If you think Episode 2 will have less effects, you are crazy... I expect to see even more Jar Jar type CGI aliens, lightsaber duels in scary, exotic places, and characters put through emotional ringers. Wait, am I dreaming or is that Hammerhead a main character now? Mamaw Nadon, we hardly knew you!
-
It's obvious that you don't like Mel. First, you fuel all the rumors about him being heavyhanded in Payback but you never bothered to post your own review of the movie. Could that be because you liked it but couldn't bring yourself to admit that maybe Mel made the right choice? Now this statement that Mel would never sign onto the movie until he drained Warners of a princely sum...HARRY, have you seen the budget for The Million Dollar Hotel? 8 Million Dollars, Harry. How much of that do you think Mel is getting? Figure in union crews, film stock, SAG, DGA, Teamsters fees, and the other actors. Now, are you going to try to pull that Mel is a greedy bastard crap? When I start seeing you slam Mike Myers, Jim Carey, Tom Cruise, John Travolta, etc. for getting the high dollars, then I'll believe you just don't like talented, rich actors. Until then, I'll just go with my theory that you don't like Mel. What did he do to you?
-
I agree that Max=Mel and the suggestion that anyone inherit the "mantle" is just plain stupid. But I don't think that this will come to pass. It seems that Mr. Gibson never said that he would not do a Lethal Weapon 4 but rather that he was not too keen on doing it. Alas, history dictates the outcome of that proposal (fingers crossed for LW 5 God help me). But as fat as a fourth MM opus, he has always said "NO!". Hell, he was leery about doing "Thunderdome" but finally caved in. Reading his biography you get the feeling that "Thunderdome" was a bad time in his life both professionally and personally and any kind of visit to that world would not be a pleasent one. Mind you that this is irresponsible speculation on my part. Another thing I cannot help feel is that the reason he made the LW flicks is because of the good times that he has with his fellow actors. Who does he have to pal with in Max's world? Nobody, he's a loner. Now if George Miller happen to be reading this lemme put the kabosh on one possible plot point. For the love of God, do not give him a sidekick (except for another dog. I still get bummed out when he takes that arrow in "Road Warrior"). Don't tinker with a what makes this series great. Max is modern (future, sorry) day cowboy. Like Dr. Dealgood said, "He's the man with no name!"
And one more thing. I may already be too late but I have to say this anyway. Can we kill the person who starts the inevitable rumor that Pussy DiCraprio is somehow connected with this film? I get the vibe that some sick sould out there is chomping at the bit to cast this out there and let rumor mongers run with it.
Thanks for your time. -
Well, it
-
C'mon, cats and kittens! Harry is obviously scooping Jurassic Park 3! Doesn't the line: ah ah ah! You didn't say the magic word!, jog any memories?! Geez! It was Nedry's computer from JP1!
-
It could be Hitchhiker's or Who, but Harry did drop a Jurassic Park line, so maybe it has something to do with the film being made over there. As for Ep 2 in 2003, I just wish he'd spent an extra year on the FIRST ep, writing or getting someone else to write some decent dialogue. "There's no need to report that to him until we have something to report". I'm a dyed-in-the-wool fan, but WHAT THE FUCK IS THAT???!!! Spend the year on the script George. The thought of Lucas writing a love story is very, very scary. Finally, let me say I HATE FIRSTIES!!!
-
Sorry Clockwork, I was a bit slow posting - ye got there afore me.
-
...is that they are finally making a movie based on the British sci-fi show "Blakes 7."
-
it's a movie based on "The Young Ones." Whatever happened to Rik Mayall anyway?
-
Hey man!! Wassupppp???? I thought I was the only human being on earth who knew about "Yar's Revenge"! Did you play the game? I bought the cheesy record in the 80's...... "The astronauts didn't know that a stowaway was onboard....a small, household fly...." Oh god....

I'm hoping that, like all the dumb rumors floating around forums, the news item about Ep.2 being released in 2003 is not true. But I think it has been confirmed that Lucas really was/still is on vacation this summer (as is his due, nothing wrong with that).
If he's penning the Ep.2 script, then either he's writing it in relax mode and a 2001 or 2002 release is still on...
OR the movie will really be delayed until 2003.
I know this is a dumb post, but I'm in agony as it is. TPM will very soon be gone from theaters; the video is a long way off; and now there's a good chance we will have to wait FOUR fucking years for the "Anakin frogs Amidala, Fett as lead asshole, Clone Wars/Mandalorian Warriors fiasco, and Anakin's dark slide" flick.
Someone tell me that it's all only a Jedi mind trick! I'm not Toydarian you know. -
I was totally turned off by that Dinosaurs clip. It looked more animated than Tarzan! Come on guys, this film will in no way blow away Jurassic Park. And that field was way to crowded to be realistic. (If other people can bag the CGI in TPM, I can bag this film's CGI)

The World is Not Enough-its of interest to people in the U.K. and concerns the "World"-both are items Harry mentioned in his hint.
-
Harry's scoop is actually about Yar's Revenge the movie - he is secretly communicating to us through this alias
-
Yikes! All I can say after watching that thing is; who did the bloody music - Slash??!! O.K., I'm not dawing conclusions now, but at the moment I be afraid, be very afraid!

Well, yesterday's posting by Harry said we would find out today what this project was. Now we have to wait for Monday! It can't be TWINE because this is finished and has already been pre-reviewed. Hardly news then. Doctor Who seems a fave - but Harry said the scoop was of interest to UK fans - not necessarily fans of something from the UK. There is nothing on the official UK site or Corona or anywhere else about a forthcoming film.(Although I do like the post that suggested 'who?' was the required response!) So it could mean an American film being shot in the UK. Then again he has just come back from LA, so going in disguise or whatever seems to suggest that the flick is US. a search on 'ah, ah, ah...you didn't say the magic word' brings up hundreds of Jurassic Park wav sites, and we know that there is a third one in the works. But is this something that will "knock the ball out of the park?" Oh - I get it - the park! I think there are enough hints here to almost agree with the JP3 theory - except for that mysterious use of the word glorious, followed by a distinctly mischievous chuckle. And the remark about this project giving worldwide acclaim. JP has had enough acclaim - and box office success - already, and this comment suggests something that has not had this acclaim on a global level before. Back to Doctor Who again? Uuurrrggh - all this to-ing and fro-ing is leaving me feeling a tad pasty. Still, the only scoops that will really blow me away would be someone optioning 'AI' or the fourth Indiana Jones script. Anything else is kinda anti-climactic. Doc Who would be kinda sweet tho'.

I haven't read the posts yet, so somebody may have already said this, but I think Harry's big news is that there is going to be a new 007. Has to do with the UK... Would mean world wide acclaim... That's the vibe I'm getting. What do the rest of you think?

A message to DAS BOOB ( ya weasel) & the rest of the world,
I have nothing at all to do with Disney, I just am seriously impressed with what I saw. These guys have done an amazing job, they obviously worked real long & hard on this, & they deserve praise heaped upon them. I may sound over the top but hey, there's nothing wrong with getting excited! -
Harry, I was reading the news and I'm majorly looking forward to this movie, Dinosaur. Anyways, I got my own little web site that I haven't had time to keep up lately, but I am going to upgrade it majorly tomorrow.
TO THE POINT... Okay, I'll attempt to put the trailer for DINOSAUR on my site and it should be up on Monday. I will post again to confirm or deny this, but I figure it'll get put up there.
The sites address is WWW.JAZZSERVO.COM and I'll put it up under the News heading...
Thanks for the time and I'll put another messege up tomorrow night(sunday)...
