It's all been on Youtube for a while, though recorded by people in the audience.
There's also footage of the teaser that was shown which has Clark dressed like Neo with a silver S on his chest.
By the way, is anyone else surprised at how few leaks there have been this year? The Iron Man footage for example doesn't appear to be showing up anywhere, unless I'm not looking in the right places. I've seen a few stills but so far no footage.
Then again it was a poor Comic Con overall so I'm not surprised.

Obviously budget made it really anti-climatic. But the season as a whole had some great episodes. Whenever they decided to renew the show for one more season is what killed. Having Clark stop Doomsday, realize how much the world needs him and become Superman would have actually been a pretty cool way to end the series, but alas the suits got involved. What we really need is Justice League Unlimited to give us our weekly dose of DC awesomeness.

When you spend an entire season building up a "final confrontation" between hero/villain and you have that confrontation last 45 seconds punctuated with a lame ending fans get PISSED!

I like how Clark's new "costume" looks a bit like Brando's from the film. Other than that, I really don't like this show.
Aug. 6, 2009, 11:17 p.m. CST
Its hardly a section for film is it, i mean if they start a remake of superman how long can they spend on that aspect 10mins maybe max. At least on smallville they can have a story around it and have it over a few epidsodes or even the whole season.

Cool! Thanks, Herc! I'm STOKED about the next season of Supernatural!!!!! It's especially cool that it's starts Sept. 10th, which is only a few days away since, as the Mayan calendar predicts, time is moving 3.6 times faster than it did in 1974.

And, apparently, Lincoln and Gandhi. People, stop asking how they're going to top Lucifer, because your question has just been fuckin' answered.

We're into Hatch chile season as well. Winter tree damage, ideal pollination and a late harvest season have meant a glut in Bing cherries from coast to coast, and it's high time to start turning fresh basil into pesto and freezing it for the winter. Good times.

I don't know if it's common knowledge, but just in case it sounds like I'm just spewing crap in some drunken haze, an explanation for my last post:
For their biggest guest star since, I guess, Barry Bostwick, Supernatural has decided to bring on Paris Hilton. Seriously. I would say they caved into some kind of fit-our-teengirl-demo-dammit network pressure, but the same episode will also feature a demented Abraham Lincoln and Gandhi. So obviously, they're planning a kick-ass showdown of epic proportions.
(I'm guessing it's a shapeshifter.)

Paris Hilton, evil Lincoln, time travel... good times. And I like the miltonian sympathetic Lucifer. I'm just worried that it's getting too popular and they'll try to stretch it out for another season. I would be so happy if they just finished it when they've planned.

Can't wait for season 5 to start, anyone in here who still hasn't given this show a chance, here's a primer for you:
1) Season 1's first episode is badass, but much of the season drags until the last few episodes where they probably realized that they were getting renewed for another season, and then things RAMP THE FUCK UP into awesomeness. Seasons 2-4 kick large amounts of ass and you won't be disappointed. Each year the show gets better and lets hope season 5 is no different.
2)The show has horror references from all over the place, if you're a horror movie geek you'll pick up on some "crazy cool" stuff.
3)It's unreal how much they get away with on this show with the level of gore they show. Eyes are gouged out, throats are slit, heads are torn off, people are dismembered and shredded up and bloodied, bodies are burned on a regular basis, etc etc et fucking cetera.
4) The classic rock soundtrack kicks large amounts of ass, and is more prevalent in the first few seasons than the later ones, mainly because of budget.
5) The guys ride around in a badass black '67 impala sport sedan that's as much a character on the show as they are.
6) Every week the screen is graced with some really hot female actresses.
7) They titled on of the episodes, "CRISS ANGEL IS A DOUCHEBAG". Seriously.
Aug. 7, 2009, 7:45 a.m. CST
I cant wait until season 5. Im sneakily hoping for a happy ending though, I think the boys deserve it after all the shit they've gone through! It is without a doubt the best show on TV at the moment... and I know i'm going to get slated for this but I actually prefer it to Buffy.
Aug. 7, 2009, 9:06 a.m. CST
This may sound bad but I hope that it ends after this season. Go out on a high note. Don't drag things out. As mentioned by someone else I also hope that the characters get a happy ending of some kind. Already ordered the 4th season.
Very excited about the upcoming season.

At least definitely not only for pre-teens. My parents are in their fifties and they love the show. As do my inlaws, my wife. Pretty much anyone that I know that's seen it is hooked. Not sure about a go-to scene. So many good scenes would spoil the story. One of my favorite scenes from season 1 is the one where the Stone's "Laugh I Nearly Died" is playing in the background. I think that's where the show really nailed the tones and characters and never stopped.
Aug. 7, 2009, 6:38 p.m. CST
Never drag on like Lost. I love how they finish major insane story-lines on a yearly basis. And I am ALWAYS impressed with how they resolve their cliffhangers. So very creative and not half-assed. I for one would LOVE to see Supernatural go on for at least another 2 seasons. I think there are plenty of spooky stories, urban legends, etc. they haven't played with yet. Though, I will trust in Eric Kripke and his awesome writers to know if there are more stories to tell. I definitely do not want them to continue on off a cliff like X-Files. But in the mean time, I think is the best tv show out there. My opinion. Oh, btw, I think it's pretty awesome this site finally has something on this show.
Aug. 7, 2009, 6:57 p.m. CST
I agree with others, the lame as SHIT last fight with Doomsday (and really, ONLY fight with him) was as a massive letdown. They really need to spend some money to give us a decent fight. WB has been frugally fucking Superman out of a superfight for too long, I might add.

I think that "Supernatural" could easily go on for 6 or even 7 seasons. I'm not ready for Season 5 to be the last. Apparently, the actors are signed on through Season 6 and I doubt it will suddenly lose a bunch of viewers next season, so I think there's a good chance...As for the "Smallville" finale, I don't know what people were expecting on CW's budget. I also think the fight was so short because a) Clark had to get rid of Doomsday quickly or he would've kicked his ass, and b) they were trying to get the show closer to matching up with the comics. Isn't Doomsday unearthed by a bunch of construction workers when he wreaks havoc and kills Superman? That's why Clark put him underground. I think the Doomsday storyline was more about Clark and Davis than the actual beast and the battle. I know they could've found a better way to fix the Jimmy problem, but apparently they were told that they could only have a character named Jimmy Olsen on the show if in the end, it turned out that he wasn't the real Jimmy Olsen. Jimmy is supposed to be 10 years younger than Clark & Lois and was never married to Lois' cousin, etc. That's why they killed him off and made his younger brother the real Jimmy Olsen. At least he killed Davis and gave Chloe her watchtower before he died.
Aug. 7, 2009, 9:55 p.m. CST
i mean they had an episode where a kid shows up claiming to be their brother called "Jump The Shark". come on, how can you beat humor like that?
Aug. 7, 2009, 11:15 p.m. CST
They're just so many. I mean, you could go tragic (No Rest for the Wicked, All Hell Breaks Loose, pt. 1), you could go funny (Tall Tales, Mystery Spot), or you could go emotional (any episode with either of their parents). Now that I think about it, Tall Tales is frickin hilarious. That scene with the slow-dancing alien cracks me up just thinking about it. "Lady in Red..."

by My Pretty Pony
That "Lady in Red" scene in "Tall Tales" is probably my favorite of the entire series...One go-to scene I can think of is the "Renegade" scene at the end of "Night Shifter" (Season 2) when the boys realize they're screwed and drive off in the Impala.

Well, there are so many good ones indeed. However, there are a few that may be more accessible for new watchers. I guess these would be the ones that are based less on mythology, and more inspired from ghost stories and urban legends. I mean it is called Supernatural so I’m assuming people are expecting a good scare with a good story. How about Season 1, Episode 11: Scarecrow? I think that was one of the episodes in the first season that really hooked me completely and showed me that it wasn’t just another crappy CW (or when it was WB) show. Don’t get me wrong though. The mythology storylines ARE freakin awesome.
Aug. 8, 2009, 8:09 a.m. CST

Aug. 8, 2009, 8:25 a.m. CST
I've only seen a few handful of SN eps; like 2 for every season. That is not enough for me to understand any mythology about the show. And I hope most of you know that I don't really go on TB's just to bash things for bashing's sake.
But last Thurs. I finally got to see "Chriss Angel Is A Douchebag", with the guy who used to be the Mayor on "Spin City".
I was totally enjoying it until a girl said something like, "A lot of people are going to die. Oceans of people."
And I got distratced: Oceans of people? What does that even mean? She wasn't even being snarky or sarcastic; she was dead serious about the "Oceans of People". There wasn't even a body of water reference beforehand. It's like she pulled a metaphor from Mad Libs or something.

I, like others, have been kinda dumbfounded for years that this site hasn't been all over this amazing show. It IS right in their wheelhouse! As for best shows, everyone should agree that TALL TALES is their "JOSE CHUNG" episode. But I have to mention the awesome GHOSTFACERS! ep, and the hilarious MYSTERY SPOT. MYSTERY SPOT was the Groundhog Day ep where Dean keeps dying everyday! I also love that for their fake FBI names they always gloss hard rock/heavy metal players-"Agent Hetfield, Agent Nugent"... They even gloss Mulder and Scully a few times. And try to wrap your brain around the fact that one of their best writers is the creator of THE TICK! EVERYTHING works on this show. A sheer piece of geek heaven.

over the years - as far as it being ultimately fairly predictable with its plotting and running over the same character beats over and over - what I love about it is that it's the only show that (for me) evokes the Bronze Age horror comics (like House of Mystery, Phantom Stranger, etc.) with their macabre sense of humor, Americana folksiness, and 70s-ish style. The only show that has a non-academic common man take on folklore. In some ways, it's more an heir to Kolchak than even X-Files was, a show that had a completely different take on that kind of material.
