I got my mail off within 6 minutes of the post. With such a large AINC audience in the NYC, I wonder if that was quick enough.

    question..

    by gravitysrainbow

I know this might be a stupid question, but is this going to be one of those deals where this post will be updated with the list of people who got in? Or is it instead the kind of first come first serve where, even having sent the email, you have to get there by a certain time or you can't get in?

    Dear Mr. Vernon,

    by erichaislar

we accept the fact that we had to sacrifice a whole Saturday in detention for whatever it was we did wrong, but we think you're crazy to make us write an essay telling you who we think we are. You see us as you want to see us... In the simplest terms and the most convenient definitions. But what we found out is that each one of us is a brain...and an athlete...and a basket case...a princess...and a criminal...Does that answer your question?... Sincerely yours, the Breakfast Club.

    Don't get too excited

    by dr sidney schaefer

Saw this at a pre-screening in Sydney, Australia 2 nights ago. I really was disappointed. It's like the worst bits of 28 Weeks Later (characters you don't care about, general hostility and negative human behaviour). The effects are good and there is a great idea in there, but I found most of it a fairly negative experience, with heavy handed and laboured comments on racism and a generally bleak outlook and story/characters I couldn't really care for.

Plus the inconsitancy in Alien abilities and how some characters suddenly could master certain technology left me thinking "sorry, but no way". No-one at the screening seemed that impressed by it.

    by keblar

I imagine it'll be like most past screenings: Rather than sending out a ton of time consuming emails, they'll post a list of names in a day or two (pretty soon I'd think since the screening's on Mon.) and folks will just show up with ID in hand to prove they're who they say they are---This is of course to prevent some dick from showing up and using some name they read off the list. OR, maybe folks will have to bring a copy of a confirmation email or something. Dunno for sure, cos I've never been close enough to a screening to give a damn before.

The waiting is the hardest part...

    by keblar

Every day you see one more card... You take it on faith, you take it to the heart...The waiting is the hardest part. Nothing heard on this end. Hopefully, this'll mean more NYC events. I'm primarily just happy to get the Opportunity to go to a screening, and won't be THAT upset if I don't get in. Tnanks for doing this AICN.......Right,I'm only saying that because I mailed in under 6 minutes and think I have a pretty good shot. I'm really gonna whine like a spoiled little girl if I don't manage to get in.

    by keblar

What's to scam? It's not like they're making any money off of this. A little advertisement, but it's as much if not more of a thank you to the readers. Looks like the The Alamo screening took 5 or 6 days. At least we won't have to wait THAT long.
