-
kinda funny that i wrote ditto in the subject line, and accidentally submitted twice.
-
Been refreshing and checking RSS for about 4 days now.
-
thanks for the chance to check out the film, guys
-
This would make my summer, hands down. And the theater is a block away from my office - oh MAN so excited.
-
If I miss my chance at the San Fransisco screening, I'm gonna be pissed!!!!
-
Already sent my email!
-
is worse than waiting for the post.
I got my mail off within 6 minutes of the post. With such a large AINC audience in the NYC, I wonder if that was quick enough. -
Hopefully I get this!!!
-
A...I...C...N
Talkback needs an edit function to keep me from looking like an idiot.
Inevitable? -
And my toes as well.
With barely over 300 seats to fill, hopefully we'll get tickets. If not... I'll see it when it comes out! -
This would be so awesome to get in to.
-
Doesn't seem like the email even exists. Am I the only one getting an error message in return?
-
I know this might be a stupid question, but is this going to be one of those deals where this post will be updated with the list of people who got in? Or is it instead the kind of first come first serve where, even having sent the email, you have to get there by a certain time or you can't get in?
-
About damned time AICN did a screening in NYC!
-
Hopefully everyone who sent the email is responding on the talkback. Then all of us got fucking in!!
-
Or will you deviant cocksuckers embarass Rickey in front of her?
-
will see KeBlar seeing Rickey. RICKEY PICK UP THE PHONE!
No mailer errors on my end.
-
I hope their still having a screening in Seattle. I can't wait for this film.
-
wow this is awesome! hope i get it too! anyone know how these things work? whether i will be getting a confirm email and all that
-
PLEASE!
-
wtf...
-
Where is the info for the Seattle screening? Where is the love!
-
Hope I made it in time!
The showing is this Monday!
Man, that's soon! Well...fingers crossed.... -
God I'm hoping to make it...
-
Man that sucks.

John Hughes has died and so does my inner 80's childhood.

NEVER FORGET JOHN HUGHES!! R.I.P.!!
-
Ferris Beuller's Day Off is one of my all-time favorites. R.I.P.
-
we accept the fact that we had to sacrifice a whole Saturday in detention for whatever it was we did wrong, but we think you're crazy to make us write an essay telling you who we think we are. You see us as you want to see us... In the simplest terms and the most convenient definitions. But what we found out is that each one of us is a brain...and an athlete...and a basket case...a princess...and a criminal...Does that answer your question?... Sincerely yours, the Breakfast Club.

he dead
-
but finding out John Hughes is dead totally ruined that feeling.
RIP -
This is a NYC screening thread. John Hughes died while visiting NYC.
Creepy -
...sent.

Saw this at a pre-screening in Sydney, Australia 2 nights ago. I really was disappointed. It's like the worst bits of 28 Weeks Later (characters you don't care about, general hostility and negative human behaviour). The effects are good and there is a great idea in there, but I found most of it a fairly negative experience, with heavy handed and laboured comments on racism and a generally bleak outlook and story/characters I couldn't really care for.
Plus the inconsitancy in Alien abilities and how some characters suddenly could master certain technology left me thinking "sorry, but no way". No-one at the screening seemed that impressed by it. -
will there be a post-screening q & a with the director like the other screenings?
-
How do we know if we got in or not?
-
I imagine it'll be like most past screenings: Rather than sending out a ton of time consuming emails, they'll post a list of names in a day or two (pretty soon I'd think since the screening's on Mon.) and folks will just show up with ID in hand to prove they're who they say they are---This is of course to prevent some dick from showing up and using some name they read off the list. OR, maybe folks will have to bring a copy of a confirmation email or something. Dunno for sure, cos I've never been close enough to a screening to give a damn before.
-
Sounds about right. I forgot I did attend the aicn screening for monsters house and if I remember correctly that's how it went.
-
But, FUCK Lisa Allison. Delusional retard.
-
WTF?!
-
Finally, an NYC screening, keep em comin' AICN.
-
Where is the Manchester Connecticut screening????? No love, no love
I need to move to Austin -
Really hoping that Twitter being down helped keep this thing under wraps a for a bit. Who am I kidding? I need a miracle.
-
Every day you see one more card... You take it on faith, you take it to the heart...The waiting is the hardest part. Nothing heard on this end. Hopefully, this'll mean more NYC events. I'm primarily just happy to get the Opportunity to go to a screening, and won't be THAT upset if I don't get in. Tnanks for doing this AICN.......Right,I'm only saying that because I mailed in under 6 minutes and think I have a pretty good shot. I'm really gonna whine like a spoiled little girl if I don't manage to get in.
-
need to hear so can change work schedule - any ideas when or if they will notify us & how?
-
What's to scam? It's not like they're making any money off of this. A little advertisement, but it's as much if not more of a thank you to the readers. Looks like the The Alamo screening took 5 or 6 days. At least we won't have to wait THAT long.
