L.A. Readers! Join Mr. Beaks For DISTRICT 9 At The Arclight On August 11th!

Sorry for the delay in announcing this screening, folks. We had a little issue with securing a screen at the Arclight. But now it's on. So who wants to see Neill Blomkamp's DISTRICT 9 on Tuesday, August 11th at the Hollywood Arclight (6360 W. Sunset Blvd.) at 8 P.M.? For free?
Nearly everyone I know who's seen this film is in love with it. Many of them are calling it the best work of serious science-fiction in decades (read Massawyrm's rave review here). So if you've got next Tuesday evening open, you definitely need to be in that theater with me.
Want in? All you have to do is shoot me an email with the subject header "DISTRICT 9", and give me your name and the name of your guest. And do not delay: I want to have this fucker filled by tomorrow afternoon. When every seat is accounted for, I will post the list of attendees.

as long as this is a guaranteed seat thing (see the Arclight's seats are numbered), I'm in. I hate those "free passes" where you have to line up early to get in and aren't really guaranteed a seat. Especially after trying to rush there after work and traffic.
