The Mayan calendar says time runs out in three years, and Bryan Singer (“X-Men,” “Superman Returns,” “Valkyrie”) is producing a six-hour Syfy miniseries about it.
Never mind that Roland Emmerich has the Mayan calendar action-adventure “2012” hitting cinemas Nov. 13.
Writer on the untitled mini is Michael Petroni, who did a bang-up job creating (with Richard Hatem) ABC’s 2003 supernatural drama “Miracles.”
Singer previously produced the 2005 miniseries “The Triangle” (scripted by “SeaQuest”/”Alien Nation”/“Farscape” creator Rockne O’Bannon) for the channel.
