Casting Continues For Zack Snyder's SUCKER PUNCH!!

Carla Gugino has joined the cast of Zack Snyder's "Alice in Wonderland with machine guns" opus SUCKER PUNCH; we got our first look at designs from the film a week or two ago (HERE).
THR says this:
Gugino joins Emily Browning, Vanessa Hudgens, Jamie Chung, Jena Malone, and Abbie Cornish star in the 1950s-set tale of a girl (Browning) confined to a mental institution by her evil stepfather, who intends to have her lobotomized in five days. She and her friends enter an alternate reality where they begin planning an escape.
Gugino is playing Mrs. Schultz, an adult figure in the institution.
I, for one, fully appreciate Gugino's "adult figure".
Carla recently appeared in Snyder's WATCHMEN as Sally Jupiter/Silk Spectre.

Is unbelievably hot. This movie sounds interesting. Carla in WATCHMEN was........wow. The movie though was not great like the novel. Note to Zack: A faked alien invasion of Earth? Really interesting and unique. Setting up Dr. Manhattan for setting off nuclear bombs? Boring and has been done. A lot. What the hell were you thinking?

I've never seen the High School Musical movies (I'm not 7) and I don't think she's been in much else. I don't know why she should be blamed for parting with her old Disney image. It's not like she's Lindsay Lohan showing off her kooch every chance she gets. Zack Snyder must have liked what he saw in her since he seems to have almost complete creative control on this project.

IMO he's 3 for 3. The man has proven he can point a camera... he's shown improvement in each movie. If he perfects getting solid performances from actors then he will be ACE.

anyone badmouthing Gugino in Watchmen. I do remember a zillion other reasons for the fanboys to bitch about that movie (some justified, some not) but Gugino was not amongst them that I remember.
And she is more than a hot bod. Check out "The Buccaneers" or "Serpent's Kiss" or her great turn as Karen Sisco (JHO? To hell with that no talent skank bimbo!) in her short lived, lamented eponymous TV show.
Hell, she even does Broadway!
