Who'll Play The Maybe/Maybe Not Imaginary Antagonist In Aronofsky's BLACK SWAN??
Merrick here...
A few weeks ago, we heard that Darren Aronofsky's work on the new ROBOCOP film may be delayed or scuttled due to his suddenly being able to make his dream project: BLACK SWAN. Learn more about said matter HERE.
We already know Natalie Portman will take the lead in SWAN; now we know who may play her tormentor.
Mila Kunis will be Natalie Portman's nemesis.
The actress is in discussions to star opposite Portman in Darren Aronofsky's supernatural drama "Black Swan." The pic centers on a talented ballerina (Portman) in the New York City Ballet who is tormented by a rival who might or might not be a figment of the dancer's imagination.
...says THR.
Kunis was most perfect in THAT 70s SHOW, but I think she's yet to find her stride outside of that format (MAX PAYNE, for example). Maybe she'll do it here...or in THE BOOK OF ELLI (HERE).

Coverage on here is really starting to suffer. The contributors should pay less attention to Twatter and more to the site.
-
Great success!
-
She may be cute though
-
count me out. But I would rent the hardcore version.
-
Hi Natalie, you shaved your head in V for Vendetta. Did you also shave your V for vagina?
-
He's having sex with his imaginary Asian mail order bride.
-
fair play to quint on the comic con coverage. other than harrys day one post? i dont know how to work twitter and am not interested in how. saying that i hope hes not collapsed or anything.
-
We did get a report on his first day at Comic-Con. What the fuck do you guys expect? Daily reporting?!?!? Jesus, all the TB'ers on his site are demanding, shouldn't we be happy with a daily report for the first day only? Harry works hard, people, he....umm...well....uhh....where the fuck is Harry?
-
This sounds almost exactly like a live-action Americanized version of Satoshi Kon's anime film PERFECT BLUE.
-
Was annoying as shit in "That 70s Show." The only acting she's done where I thought she was good was "Forgetting Sarah Marshall." What the fuck's a Max Payne?
-
would be nice... i dont care if its knowles or not, but itd be nice for regular updates, stories, interviews, pics. i mean wtf is going on? they were hyping comic con and now theres shit all on it. cc is PACKED every day with stuff covering frigging everything... wheres all the reporting

And help perpetuate the joke that is Meg Griffin.
Oh s--- too late. -
She can already dance ballet and is a much better actress. Why can't Aronosky choose actors that are already profienct in the art? Or is he not going to show any dancing?
-
Yep.
-
Totally agree with the Summer Glau comment.
-
like a big ass spoiler?
-
She would be a great choice if she didn't look like ET's long lost sister. *Shutters*
-
That one you heard about for years. This one we've only heard about for months. I don't think its comparable.
-
Seriously, in past years we had every editor giving DAILY updates. Mori, Harry, Quint- whomever else. I swear, they CONSTANTLY updated stories. I don't know what's up with everyone this year. They're just getting so lazy. "I'll do it later. They won't mind." Psssh. Lame guys. Really lame.

Darren showing all of us how much he likes Michael Powell's Red Shoes.
To many good young filmmakers show there influences on their sleeve. -
But I loved the Fountain, I actually thought the Wrestler was a bit meh. Like most things I probably would have enjoyed it more if I hadn't read anything on it.
-
I used to find Meg Griffin annoying as fuck 'til I clapped eyes on Mila, now I can't help but feel for Meg. Damn Mila is hot! and ShutUpShitheadWhereIsMyBurbon the word is *shudder*...why can't internet users spell or even use a dictionary? Sheesh...
-
Hehehe. I just noticed that. Sorry about that. That was embarrassing. I would go back to fix it, but there is NO DAMN EDIT BUTTON. "Damn Mila is hot! and..." At least I can capitalize at the beginning of my sentences. I made a fucking mistake, sorry.
-
You know you just had the same reaction!
-
I have a lot of faith in DA, and Mila Kunis is cute as a button, it will be odd for her to be the nemesis. I was just getting excited about Robocop so I hope this more then makes up for my disapointment.
-
Getting ballet drama with Natalie Portman? I'm half expecting an announcement that Avatar is actually a reboot of the Titanic franchise, Machete is being recast with Carlos Mencia as Machete, and Sam Raimi is going to waste his career directing World of Warcraft and Spiderman sequels ... oh wait
-
a Marvel "What if" Version of "What if Poe's William Wilson were a transvestite Ballerina"? Aranofsky, you just don't stop to amaze.
-
..but i didnt take ot out for air.
-
Give Robocop to Verhoeven, then. I wanna see Black Swan. Kunis is beautiful and sure has a lot of chemistry (Forgetting Sarah Marshall), but I like the Summer Glau suggestion.
-
I hang my head in shame, and feel like an asshole! Sorry dude, I wasn't sniping at you so much as 'net users in general. Technically, one should never even start a sentence with "and" (capital "a" or not) as it's just bad grammar. I'm off to humbly thrash myself with a switch of thorns...
-
You're right enough - WHY IS THERE NO EDIT FUNCTION? Surely Harry has made enough cash in all the years this site has been running to afford to upgrade the fucker?
-
Whatever you said- you said. I like not having an edit button. It forces us to watch our writing a little bit more, or add a bit of humor by amending a previous statement ("Crap, I meant THIS... what was I thinking?"). What I don't like is every person who makes a mistake moaning about the lack of an edit function.
-
the antagonist is real, it's the heroine thats imaginary. The movie is from her viewpoint. Kind of like Fight Club, if Brad Pitt was the main character.
-
I'm sorry, man. I was being a bitch with my last post. D. Vader, you are absolutely right, I should have been more mindful of my typing. I screwed up. Sorry for derailing the talkback (not being sarcastic).
-
I was thinking this just as I was reading the article the first time. Hasn't Aronofsky wanted to make Perfect Blue as a live-action production for, like, forever and three days now?
