UPDATED WITH VIDEO!! Comic Con: A Bit More Herculean Twittering, This Time From Saturday’s HEROES Panel!!

Published at:  Jul 28, 2009 4:44:06 PM CDT

SPOILER ALERT !!

I am – Hercules!!

My live Twitter report from the “Heroes” panel Saturday afternoon, ultragonzo-style with most typos and horrible punctuation fully intact:

I think Kring ditched his facial hair : he looks like dave foley

Claire will discover she’s kinda famous

Swoosie will be back

Jack coleman looks like henry Rollins

Hiro will get a deadly illness and start a business with ando.

Sylar will be both in nathan's body and matt's head

Peter will allegedly grow a sense of humor (claims Ventimiglia)

Everyone in this room except me seems desperate to bone Milo

I curse the con organizer who failed to seat Hayden next to Madeline Zima (Zima’s character will be hot for Claire).

Hiro's time travel powers will go out of control as he pursues his bucket list.

Nathan gets new powers pasdar can't talk about

Sylar gets to crawl out of a grave this year

Looks like they're gonna spend a lot of fucking time at that carnival this year

I wonder where they got the idea of sticking people with superpowers in a carnival?

Couldn't they have switched it up a little and made them work at six flags?

    by spooky2k

Cancel this fucking show already. The strong showing at today's comic-con makes it look even more pathetic than it already is. Anyone who disagrees simply wants to see Claire kiss another girl. Surely we should expect more from the 4th season of a TV show?!

    by shutupfanboy

The Claire lesbo thing sounds like a ratings catcher. The Sylar/Peter thing is their jump the shark moment. I figure since this is a short season ie done by December instead of May, we will see the Sylar issue resolved. I am betting Sylar dies this season, so Zach go be Spock for the next two Trek films. However, this will be the last season thanks to internet bitching and the ratings not being updated to count DVRs.

Twitter is not for teens, Morgan Stanley told by 15-year-old expert
"Teenagers do not use Twitter," he wrote. "Most have signed up to the service, but then just leave it as they realise that they are not going to update it (mostly because texting Twitter uses up credit, and they would rather text friends with that credit). They realise that no one is viewing their profile, so their tweets are pointless."

I'm not sure if Angela's sister's character name is Swoozie, but the actress that played the sister (and the Sheriff on Lost) was Diana Scarwid. Swoozie Kurtz was on Lost, but she played Locke's mom. Also, I'm afraid Heroes has too steep of a climb to get back to being anything worth watching on a regular basis. This Hiro "bucket list" storyline sounds cloying and irritating already.

Twitter is the single most retarded internet fad in a decade. And Heroes is a joke... a car wreck you drive by yet can't turn away from! My friends and I still watch it but we do so to mock it. Have a few beers and say things like "They stole that plot point from X-Men # whatever" or "If he escaped from his cell by phasing through the wall why can't he just phase through the safe door to get the virus?" Utter mental retardation. It's like the Special Olympics of genre television. And us nerds keep watching and cheering because we'd feel bad if we didn't.

From a fan, Heroes is a lost cause

    by wandering_prophet

Seriously. For the first two seasons, I was hear argueing in defense of the show. I watched every episode. Even when it started to wane, my theory was, any superhero TV show is better than none right. Wrong.

The truth is every season after the first is just a jumbled mess of plot points. And just when you think it is going to add up to a big spectacle fight scene. They cop out. Like copping out is part of their style. Literally how many times has a fucking door slammed closed just as two heroes were about to go all out. And all we get is a shaky door, some sound effects, and a dude shining flashlights under the door. Fuck that. If you don't have the budget, don't do the show. I'm not a big Smallville fan, but they have maybe half of Heroes budget and still at least try to bust out some sickness every once and a while. I just don't give a fuck about these characters any more. Why? Because they are different characters every week. The writers have no sense of consistency to the point of head-spinning infuriation. So as a former devoted fan. Please NBC, cancel this shit. It's played.

I loved the first season, all of it. Thought the second season got off to a slow start, although I gave them some slack for it because they were trying to do a slow build up like they did in season 1 and it wasn't necessary - trial and error, though, and then the writer's strike threw a big wrench in it all. Thought season 3 was off to a different start, until it didn't resonate with anybody, and I thought they did a great job recovering it and going back to what people wanted. There's been a few misfires with the show, but overall it's been very entertaining and I'm very glad it's still on. And I plan to continue watching it.

Did Kring apologize alot and say it will get better?

    by theapostle

That's basically what he does every season isn't it? I'm actually surprised these people even have the nerve to show up at Comic Con.

I noticed that too...where did that story/thread go? I wanted to follow-up on the discussion from where I left off on Saturday. Strange.

I was looking around the net and one place said the costume being shown to people at Comic-Con was a fabrication and there was none there. Perhaps Herc/AICN made that thread quietly go away in an attempt to save face? AICN was quoted all over the net with that thread. What happened Herc????+

    Comic Con Smallville clip

Some crazy-ass reveals in this horrible footage with some chick creaming her pants, but still the best sneak-peak I've found yet from the Comic Con.

No one here mentioned the giant carnival

    by eagledmasters

they set up across the street from the Con, with a giant Heroes logo on a billboard?? Brilliant I say! There were lines, people. I for one, love spreading some Heroes love in this post. By the way, they have a fan club too. You won't find a fan club here though, but I'm still very grateful that there was a post about Heroes here. Thank you.

Whoa! Clark FINALLY wears a Superman suit on SMALLVILLE?

    by big dumb ape

I watched the YouTube clip that the_natural74 mentions above and it looks pretty cool -- far better than all of HEROES last season. And the final shot shows Tom Welling standing on a building with the Superman emblem on his chest while wearing a long coat or something to create a cape effect. So while it might not be the Superman suit per se, it seems to be the closest I've seen him dressed this way to date. Then again, I stopped watching 2 or so seasons ago -- so maybe this isn't news. But that promo looked pretty good, so I'll have to check the show out again. And note to Kring and the other creative hacks that have put HEROES into a creative crater: get your act together and creative some real fist-pumping "fuck yeah!" excitable moments if you want your show to survive past the mid-season mark. Frankly, that final shot of Welling in the Smallville promo was more bad ass than ANYTHING Heroes has managed in 2 years.

While I'm still a Heroes fan, I'll agree...

    by bueno_bob

There needs to be a LOT more action in it. A lot more of the "fuck yeah!" element previously mentioned. I get the feeling, though, that with Sylar and Nathan kinda being one and the same now, it's going to open up a BIG new dynamic that's going to be VERY exciting once Sylar realizes what's happened to him. Pete and Nathan have always been strained, and Nathan's always been very grey area about his actions...with it being Sylar doing actions as Nathan, the dynamic between Pete and "Nathan/Sylar" as brothers should be REALLY cool.

I totally expect a HUGE fight between them at some point this season...blow the budget on the special effects, guys, it's long time that it happened...
