The Wizard ScoreKeeper Announces the Five Volunteers For His Next Magic Trick!
Greetings! ScoreKeeper here announcing the five volunteers who will assist me with my next trick.
Here we go…

I now have in my hand five freshly-sealed copies of the soundtrack CD for HARRY POTTER AND THE HALF-BLOOD PRINCE (2009) composed by Nicholas Hooper. With a wave of my wand I will magically make them disappear and then reappear in the hands of these five Ain’t It Cool volunteers.
Adam Stafford of Fayetteville, Arkansas
Brian Clements of Marietta, Georgia
Jared Jimison of Huntsville, Alabama
Jack Brown of Ada, Michigan
James Carrocino of Signal Hill, California
Now for a wave of my magic wand…and… Soundtrackus! Discus! Potteraneus!
The CDs have disappeared from my hands and will now magically reappear in the mailboxes of my five volunteers within the week…(pausing for applause)…Thank you! Thank you!...Yes, I am indeed a wonderful wizard…Yes, thank you!

Seriously, dude?

From Goblet on, the scores have been good (more like passable) but Williams brought his signature magic along when he was involved. If any non-Spielberg film is one that he should go out on, it should be Deathly Hallows.
If not, bring in James Newton Howard. -
i thought the movie was great, but ther wasnt to much use of music throughout if i can recall so i would like to know how the soundtrack is.

These offer/contests/whatever that you frequently have for soundtracks of films. Are they open to US residents only? In fact the same goes for every competition on AICN. Obviously tickets to screenings kinda have to be US only or else they'd be a waste for when giving away soundtracks etc, what's the deal there? Just wondering since all the winners were American.
-
ScoreKeeper, it would be a far better thing to do than you have ever done before.
-
"With a wave of my wand I will magically make them disappear and then reappear" "Soundtrackus! Discus! Potteraneus!"

It's Latin, except when it's not.

"I have made the decision not to do the next two Harry Potter films. I’ll be handing the baton on to another composer. It has been a roller coaster ride, and, I feel, an enormous privilege to have the opportunity to have scored such great films and such a fantastic story."

All of my soundtrack giveaways (I can't vouch for other contests on this site) are open to international applicants. If you went back and looked at all the winners of all the giveaways I've done you'll find international winners. In fact, I was moderately surprised this time around because I think this is the first time all of the winners were in the USA. My last contest three of the five winners were outside the USA. It's just how they happened to be picked.

You got it! Check back in a day or two.

...moronic "Potter" films cease to be?
How many of them does there need to be? eight? twelve?
And what kind of a name is "Harry Potter" anyway?
It sounds fucking stupid.
Then again, if you're mentally eight years old, I suppose it might appeal to you. -
all the winners are from AMERICA
so why open it to international entries then? -
consider me content

i have got my own copy and I have to say I think it's a brilliant score. The dude has been taking a lot of flak around these parts - particularly for not coming up with a big tune that you can whistle on the way home. And Prisoner of Azkaban was one of Williams' best, so he'll always suffer in comparison. BUT - what he does bring is the qualities that those who like the film really value: Humour; genuine Menace - below everything; and a real sense that he loves the characters. Plus, I love the fact that his score doesn't sound like anyone else's score. Even when he's 'doing Williams' like in the Quidditch scene, it sounds 100% like him. I am very excited about Williams coming back, but I will always wonder what Deathly Hallows would have sounded like scored by Hooper.
