    by the shyster

to have David Bowie be the Sovereign? And what sorts of ideas sprang from having him be said character? And finally, were there other candidates, like another pop icon, or a made-up character/avatar?

I know it's probably been answered before, but it truly was a master stroke in storytelling. :)

    Questions

    by zorak5

Will Phantom Limb, or the character we've all been waiting to see more of, KING GORILLA, be making any prominent appearances in Season 4?

Will Season 4 be the last season? If so, would you have any plans to continue Venture Bros in some other form, like a movie?

    I've got a question

    by verbage

It involves my Uncle. See, my Uncle is a bit of an exhibitionist. When he was younger he used to get off on having sex in public places, like elevators, parks, restrooms, food courts, and so on, but now he's married and he can't get it up without someone watching. So every now and then I'll get a call in the middle of the night and it's my Uncle, and he asks me to come over and watch him have sex with his wife, my Aunt, because otherwise he's gonna be completely limp. So I try to be a good nephew, so of course I do it, right? And so I go over there last time, and they're kind of used to me coming over to watch, it's all very normal and business-like. There's a folding chair set up near the foot of the bed, and I take my place in it with a beer and some gummy candies (I don't eat anything noisy 'cause I don't want to distract them). So they disrobe, and my Uncle starts sucking on her titties, and as he's sucking on them, my Aunt is totally staring at me. She's making eyes at me. Then my Uncle sucks on her clit a bit, and she rubs her titties in a circular motion saying "Oooooh...ooooh..." still staring at me, right? Then my Uncle lays down, and she gets on top, and she's riding him, her titties bouncing up and down, and she's staring at me the whole time. It's like she's fucking me, right? And we're not blood, I'm related to my Uncle, but she's not kin. And so.....um..... I forgot my question.

    more questions

    by zorak5

Well, now I'm on a roll.

One of the conundrums of Season 3 was just what the hell are we supposed to call Dr. Girlfriend anymore now that she's married? This seemed to be a problem the characters had to, with Monarch referring to her many times as simply "my wife" instead of a name. Personally, I'd like to see her revert to being called Dr. Girlfriend. That's the name we know and love her by, and it's just funnier to have her keep being called that. So this is my long-winded way of saying, have you fixed the Dr. Girlfriend name problem in Season 4?

My next question is, can you please murder the Murderous Moppets? Please?

Yea, Brock needs to knock-up Dr Mrs Monarch and having a running gag about the Monarch's "kid" looking like excactly like Brock. Either that or Helper needs to snap and become a REAL arch-villian, resulting in the destruction of the Guild and an alliance between the Ventures and the Monarch. And of course Rusty, seeing a tidy profit to be made in arching, joins Helper. Monarch adopts the boys and Brock is now stuck protecting the Monarch!

    4) Do we get some more interaction between JJ and Doc Venture?

I'm not saying it's not still great, but the tone is different, grimmer and simply not as laugh out loud funny and quotable as season one: "I never told anyone off before...that was easy..."

    Three questions:

    by darqueguy

    1. Did Rusty's rediscovery of his love of adventuring and wise decision-making in the "ORB" episode represent a turning point for his character, i.e. the beginnings of a comeback from a lifetime of failure?

    2. Will we see other earlier versions of the Guild/Team Venture, pre-Jonas Venture Sr.?

    3. What background character will become this seasons Sgt. Hatred, i.e. a fully fleshed-out character with multiple appearances? Will any regular characters' screen time be dialed back as a result?

    Thanks!

    Shit, my real question!

    by tomwaitsisgod

In "tag sale you're it," after seeing Phantom Limb walk away, monarch asks Dr GF "Didn't you used to work with him or something?" To which she replies "i've never met him before, he's an ass." In Shadowman 9 we see that Monarch steals her away from Phantom Limb, therefore already establishing no need for that question. What I'm getting at is: just go ahead and admit that you didn't have these backstories totally thought out when you initially wrote these earlier episodes. Anyone who's really paying attention can tell that, and you what: the show's so god-damn funny that we don't care! I say again: caaahhhm aaaaaahhhhn!

I then plant incendiary devices upon their persons with remote detonators, wait for these people to get far enough away from me (hey, I'm valuable) and then I push the button on the remote.

My main question: Is Season 4 being designed as the last season, such that all our questions will be answered? Or is that the point to the split Season 4: if you don't get another order, we get the answers, otherwise they get pushed off into Season 5/6 (not a negative - I'd wish this show was on forever).

    Minor questions:
Is The Monarch related to Dr. Venture?
Is Dr. Quymn related to Dr. Venture?
    Is Drew Quymn female?
What powers Monarch's cocoon? (There have been mutiple references to its unnaturalness. Case in point: Dean's psychotic episode in the Season 2 finale was due to it.)
Will Dean ever take Triana (who also doesn't want her father's life) and run away to become normal kids in some suburb?

1: I imagine all will be explained in Season 4, but where the hell did Brock's crazy tattoos come from? How many cases of concealer does that man go through?

2: What sparked that bitchy/whiny/pussy rant from the creator of the bloody-awful Moral Orel (its cancellation proves there is a God) against VB a year back and what came of it? His "my-shit-don't-stink" attitude and childish behavior was naseauting.

Comedy is subjective, so if you can't wrap your head around Tim and Eric, so be it. But any series (fifteen minutes in length or not) to feature Zach Galifianakis, Ray Wise, Patton Oswalt, Jeff Goldblum, Ed Bagley Jr, the hilarious John C Reilly as Steve Brule, just to name a few, is a keeper to me.

but even though Warburton is a nobrainer for Brock, I picture Charles Napier in my mind. But a live version would suck...always has. A standard Hanna Barbera cartoon would work better, because they were basically animated sitcoms anyway. So where is The Jetsons:The Movie?

    Q: From Audio Commentaries....

    by brechtsky

... It sounded like you two weren't thrilled with season three on the whole, or as a final product, so to speak-- You both often expressed desires to take show places other than you did, focus on things you didnt, etc -- Do you feel that season 4 has gone well, i.e. are you happy with its overall tenor and direction?

And will you guys consider making an "Escape From the House of Mummies: Part 5?" ...I know theres no part 1, 3, or 4, but 2's my favorite episode of the show yet, and they were in such odd, different places at the end of it, there needs to be another sequel!!

    And season 5?

See this pic of Parker Posey:

    http://tinyurl.com/lx9mtk

Then let her lip synch over Doc's awesome voice track for Dr. Girlfriend.

    Ellen Page as Triana.

    Jim Carrey IS Byron Orpheus

Perhaps Colbert will get his head out of his ass for a live action Professor Impossible.

    Billy Zane as Phantom Limb

    Crispin Clover as The Monarch

Hank & Dean? I think an online casting search...they need to be complete unknowns.

And...in a brutal cameo...Angelina Jolie as Molotov Cocktease.

    My additions are here:

    Kevin Smith as 21

    Ray Romano as 24

    Mickey Rooney as Billy Quizboy

Warwick Davis and Tony Cox as the Moppets.

    David Bowie as David Bowie

"OH MY GOD, I LOVE [insert favorite secondary/tertiary character here], CAN WE SEE MORE OF HIM/HER?!?!?!?"

Chances are, the reason some characters are so great (Pirate Captain, Billy Quizboy, Baron Ünderbheit) is because they only show up a couple of times per season. If you got them in every episode they'd become stale.

The best thing these guys could do for future VB seasons is NOT listen to the fanboys. At all.

Has there been an announcement regarding how many seasons of VB that Doc & Jackson intend to do? A friend of mine keeps insisting that they've said they're gonna do 5 seasons and then they're finished, but I haven't heard this anywhere else. I'd love to see this run longer than the Flintstones, but not if it's going to be half-assed. 5 non-shark-jumped seasons of VB on DVD would fit nicely alongside my 5 seasons of The Wire on the DVD Shelf of Excellence.
