Learn Who Plays Hilary Clinton Opposite Dennis Quaid’s Bill Clinton In The HBO Movie THE SPECIAL RELATIONSHIP!!
I am – Hercules!!
“In Treatment” star Hope Davis (“Charlie Bartlett,” “Synecdoche, New York”) has replaced Julianne Moore in the role of Hilary Clinton in “The Special Relationship,” the last in the Tony Blair trilogy written by Peter Morgan and starring Michael Sheen as the former British prime minister.
The other two legs of the Blair trilogy are 2003’s “The Deal” and 2006’s “The Queen.” The new movie focuses on Blair’s relationship with Bill Clinton.
Sheen (“Underworld: Evolution”) and Morgan (“The Other Boleyn Girl” and the next James Bond movie) also collaborated on Ron Howard’s “Frost/Nixon.”
Davis, who does look quite a bit like the former first lady, is not wholly unaccustomed to playing real people, having embodied Harvey Pekar’s wife Joyce Brabner in “American Splendor.”

I had my fingers crossed and I was saying... "Please let it be Randy Quaid... Please let it be Randy Quaid!!" Alas... I was wrong.
-
Thank goodness I was drunk and didn't want to go to bed!
-
HBO makes consistently better films than are in cinemas. I'll watch this.
-
Can someone with a 79 post next. It will be just like 12:34:56 07/08/09...except more pathetic.
-
Zing!
-
Eventually, that is. I don't see why this has to be the last one if there's more story to tell, and that would probably be the most interesting installment.
-
It's "THE Special Relationship". Not "THAT special relationship". Just saying...
-
Just think, the hatred would have been so real, very little actual acting involved.
-
in God of Carnage...
-
Dennis Quaid's performance should be interesting (he sorta already played George W. Bush in American Dreamz)
-
Interesting trilogy, first one is a BBC movie, 2nd is released in theaters, 3rd on American cable. Haven't seen a single one of them, but maybe after this one is out on DVD I can have a movie marathon.

I watch Supernatural

She's already played an ice queen before.
-
I am sure they like the guy, but his fall from grace was pretty spectacular. His time with Clinton was probably his best of times for his career. It is more interesting to see his rise ie The Deal, his best moment ie the Queen and his fall in the third one to complete the trilogy. I hope it shows up as a DVD set in the future, I really liked the Queen and haven't seen the Deal yet.

I thought she got all these roles?

by pennsydeux
I shit/fuck/kid you not. They'll be across the street at the Hilton San Diego Bayfront Hotel's Indigo Room from 3:15 to 4:15PM PDT on 7/25.
It will consist of a trailer of the 'Redemption' volume commissioned for Comic-Con, followed by a panel Q&A w/Tim Kring, Jack Coleman, Masi Oka, Adrian Pasdar, Zachary Quinto and season 4 guest stars Robert Knepper, Dawn Olivieri, Ray Park and Madeline Zima.

This is fantastic news, seeing as the show is one of the shittiest excuses for a show that claims any love for comics.

...or have sex with that intern...or screw up the economy so bad we're on our second president to try to fix it...
-
Clinton screwed up the Economy? He left Bush with a SURPLUS! How far up Rush Limbaugh's ass have you had your head for the past EIGHT YEARS?
-
Interns for everybody!
-
You are correct. G.W.B. spent like a drunken sailor; and now Barrack is doing the same thing. Hopefully, cooler heads will prevail and all of this out of control spending will stop.
-
There was no surplus.

At least according to Yahoo U.K.
They say he's left the project & been replaced by Richard Loncraine (who I've never heard of, so can't say much about).

with the "Clintons", with John Travolta and Emma Thompson. I'd like to see this written, or co-written by Danny Strong. He nailed Recount.
-
That's all I care about.
-
Worth a rental that is, not great but some solid acting. Good piano song.

Chelsea Clinton to be played by Willow Palin and then...
by bob cryptonight
...raped by Dave Letterman.
-
I really enjoyed Morgan's other Tony Blair films, and Richard Loncraine directed the excellent THE GATHERING STORM for HBO, as well as the bizarre Thirties-style RICHARD III with Sir Ian McKellen.
-
He'd flatter her, really; the androgynous hubris would be effortless (both share "equal parts" sex appeal). Julianne Moore? Never. Too pretty, too sophisticated to reduce herself to a "B-movie" presence. Nancy Pelosi would be a field day (Cameron Diaz, Susan Sarandon, et al).
-
I saw Rocco Devilliers "The Flyboys" in a festival awhile back at The Egyptian in Hollywood. It doesn't even feel like a small indy film. Amazingly, this one incredibly gifted filmaker managed to make an awesome summer action movie that everyone can enjoy with a small budjet and crew, some of whom were family members.
The movie needs and deserves a major release. Definitely worth seeing. -

If you haven't seen the other films rent them right now

The Deal and The Queen were both excellent. Particularly The Deal. They turned me into Michael Sheen fans and he didn't disappoint in Frost / Nixon either.
