A Teaser For ALVIN AND THE CHIMUNKS: THE SQUEAKQUEL Is Now Onlin
by jimmy rabbitte
Yeah... so?
-
About as shitty as their scheduling lineup.
-
Normally your trailers are region locked so I can't view them, but I can see this??

Go to Hell and die!
-
how to market itself. I teach 4th graders, and before the first movie came out, they all repeated ad nauseum the trailer joke of the chipmunk doing the "Boom chika-bow-wow", not getting the porno reference (I hope) but still thinking it was pure comedy gold. I'm telling you, that was the funniest thing they had ever heard in their entire lives, all nine years of it. Even if you aren't Pixar, all you need to do to get tickets for a stupid kids' movie is one memorable trailer line for the kids to repeat endlessly.
-
is wrong with the world! how does shit like this get a sequel?? giv me UNBREAKABLE 2 you whores
-
Couldn't they have even tried going for a joke? I dunno, have Theodore be more interested in some kind of food the last Chipmunkette is holding than the girl? Something...
-
will make $40 opening weekend, with a final talley of $112 million (us only). In tHIALAND, IT WILL MAKE 6 BILLION dollars.fuck you world!
-
every movie will be an awful "animated cg" from a saturday morning cartoon.Next up? GEM? GUMMI BEARS(shuuuuder...)? THE flipside(member that?)..?
-
Since they changed the quality of the animation back in the 80s. Ever since then, it just hasn't been the Chipmunks for me. The original is still the best.

Although I use to love the Chipmunk Rocks album, with covers of things like Bette Davis Eyes, back in the 80s. Kinda glad to see the Chipmunks have transitioned to the next generation, given so many of the classics of my childhood haven't made the leap . . . my kids don't know nothin' about no Peabody and Sherman or Rocky and Bullwinkle, and are barely aware of The Flintsone and the Jetsons. So, kudos, Chipmunks. Job well done.
-
...that came up with this one?

Gem Is Truly Outrageous. Truly, Truly, Truly Outrageous.
by kevinwillis.net
Never watched the show. Loved that theme song, though.

No, ain't gonna be Gummi Bears. Gonna be Smurfs. Go Smurf yourself, you mother smurfing smurf-licker.
-
I can finally put that shotgun in my mouth I've been saving up for.
-
There's apparently quite a bit of it.
-
a 90 million dollar budgeted GEM (live action/cg) film is coming soon.Starring Gwen Stefani....gulp!
-

One of the chipmunks ATE SHIT in the first movie's trailer
by Nasty In The Pasty
Literally ATE SHIT. Yeah, it looked like a raisin, but he was actually EATING SHIT.

Kind of the perfect metaphor for the poor parents who have to drag their kids to this crap.

In all fairness, this looks like a huge dog turd...

But that one chipmunkette is pretty hot, I'd bang her.

-
The first one was a cute little move. It's not just nostalgia on my part.
-
SIGH....A "squekwal" if it was hand-drawn and copied the old 1950's style animation...that shit was amazing!
-
Green Hornet, That ABC Movie Of The Week, etc. We must stop these baby boomer studio execs, with their "I loved _____ when I was a kid, wouldn't it be cool to make a movie based on that" thinking. But it seems there's no stopping it.
-
I don't remember that cartoon from the 80's. Did you happen to mean "Kidd Video?" The protagonists in that show got transported to the Flipside.
Hmm..Actually, THAT show might have potential to make an interesting movie.
-
They get one day a year to go to movies by themselves and this is what we give them? Shameful.
-
THATS THE ONE! where the evil people were cats? with 1980's suits(and skinny ties)-and i BELIEVE-there was an episode(or the theme song) was "i love rock n roll-put another coin the jukebox baby". i loved that as a kid, and remake would be cool-HOWEVER-only if they ket it the same. (with the 1980's vibe to it)
-
TALES FROM THE DARKSIDE the film.Man, that theme song used to make me fucknig scared when it came on.what a fucked up show.
-
SWINING INTO...crash! THEATERS NEAR YOU IN 2011!
-
or can I?
-
I'll take this over anything starring Shia LeSuck.
-
After sitting through a bunch of kids movies over the past couple of years, I have to confess... I thought the fisr one would suck something awful but it really was much better than I thought it would be. If this follows the original, well at least it'll be tolerable.
-
Brad Pitt is going to be SOOO bad ass in this!
-
liek that Uncle Stan guy said:
This news drains the "C" out of AICN.
-
... psychological drama with graphical violence and sex, it would attract a larger audience?
-
And it threatens the American family.
-
well dont the girls look cute. lemme guess, the movie will end with some sorta singing competition pitting each group against the other. i hope they keep Brittany's bitchiness.
-
...but I'm hoping they'll outgrow their desire to see this movie between now and Christmas Day.
-
Three episodes on DVD. Better than nothing.
-
the lockers are their size....is this just a teaser, meaning this isnt a scene from the movie? because if not...where'd they find a school for little animals? lol
-
God.
-
some squeakquels shot out! everyone come and see...
-
how much did they cut to get a hard pg-3?
-
WHAT THE FUCK. There's a bunch of trailers for other movies that just *might* be cool that I don't think I've ever seen posted on this site... like "Gamer" (which could very well suck, but at least the trailer is cool and it's got motherfucking DEXTER in it as the bad guy). Please excuse me if that trailer was posted on this site before.
Fucking CHIPMUNKS 2? THIS SHIT IS UNPROFESSIONAL, AMATEUR, ETC.
FFFFFUUUUUUUUUU
-
...isn't munk the smell of unwashed taint?
-
in his whisker! Twitterpated.
-
dot com.
-
Did nobody make a furry reference yet?
By the way, the furries will be Paul Reubensing in theaters all over the world.
-
if the bespectacled chipette and Alvin could get together? Even 9-year-olds know different sorts of people like one another? Maybe the chubby, short chipette could get Theodore, or soemthing?
-
I don't know why I even typed that, much less made the typos. My blood sugar is crashing, I think.

Not as hot as Mr. Brisby, but still hot.
-
Is this for real? Munkyourself.com?
How massively inappropriate is that?
-
I meant MRS. Brisby. Obviously. Though if I had to do a male in NIMH, I guess it would be Jonathan. Wow. Am I really typing right now?

Looks fun!

by Gus Van Rant
A movie about singing fucking Chipmunks!!!
-
Lets go see Theodore get his pole smoked by a female Chipmunk...sound cool?
-
There are SIX singing and dancing Chipmunks waiting for us at the movie theatre...you in?
-
Seriously dude, Chipmunk vagina...think about it.
-
Sorry it hadda be said.
-
Seriously.
-
I say drag queen. You?
-
even the kids were walking out. not even jason lee could keep me interested.
and what sort of audiance do they expect on christmas day?
-
and it was the best Christmas in my sad, lonely life. On topic: I see what appear to be normal sized humans in the background. Those must be the little kids lockers. The movie people should do a horror movie of toons in the real world except CGI instead of 2D animation. Or a comedy where the Furry's girlfriend can't take off her suit, because IT'S NOT A SUIT!!!
-
i noticed that they are indeed regular lockers but the handles are just near the floor so the chipmunks can reach. i wonder if this one will make over 200 million like the first. i still can't believe it did so well.

Movies released on Christmas Day often do extremely well
by Nasty In The Pasty
Yeah, it's true that a lot of people won't go to see them ON Christmas Day, but there's a whole week of the kids out of school following Christmas, so that's why you see a buttload of "family" movies oping this time of year.
-
Fucking 1996-era HTML and no edit feature...
-
But it is a delicacy in Peru...last time I was there I turned down the chance to try it. The only thing I'll both pet and eat is pussy.
-
You are being generous there my friend...until I found this place in 1998/99..I had not see a forum as "advanced" as this one since I was on a Local BBS in 1993.

god why do i care? this is as bad as the garfield movies
-
Where the Wild Things Are, and the Fraggle Rock movie.
-
I've been saying kind of the same thing recently. I wonder if today's kids even really know of what, for whatever reason, I'm going to refer to as the Mickey/Bugs axis of classic cartoon characters. It looks like my generation (I was born in the last month of 86) is going to be the last that really grew up on the oft-cited "classic" characters (Rocky and Bullwinkle are pretty obscure here in the UK, so I'm not really talking about them); I haven't seen a classic animated short on TV for about twelve years. I think Tom & Jerry are hanging in there, I think kids still know them. The Pink Panther (my fav) I guess is still about thanks partly to the Steve Martin movies. But the Looney Tunes? I'm not so sure. The Joe Dante movie bombed (and that was six years ago) and so did that Loonatics thing as far as I can tell, which was a bastardisation anyway. It seems unimaginable but I'm not even sure kids would know Mickey and the Disney gang these days. Disney is too busy whoring the High School Musical/Hannah Montana/Joanas axis of evil, with their version of Whinnie the Pooh (for some reason) and the Pixar movies as their other main priorities. As for the classic Hannah-Barbera characters, maybe The Flintstones are still recognisable but other than that, forget it. I suppose a comeback in the future is possible, but I find it kind of sad there might be a genaration growing up now that will be the first in however long not to know or care about these characters. Having said that, I hear there's a live action Yogi Bear movie in the works, and a Tom and Jerry movie which explains how they met for fuck's sake, so be careful what you wish for!
-
It was actually pretty good. Everything Bullwinkle should have been, but was not. I mean a movies pretty bad when it makes Deniro jump the shark.
-
... I am going to be ALL OVER this movie when it comes out, and will likely see it ON Christmas Day, for pete's sake.

Yeah, I'm a freak, but the chipmunks rule. I am a little concerned about this footage because the fur detail is off from the 1st one and the little behavioral tics that made the animation work seem to be missing. However, that same thing happened in the first trailer - and it was fixed by the time the final movie was released.
-
... I agree, Theodore should've been looking lovingly at a sandwich or some kuskus.
-
So correct.
-
Kids love these kinds of movies. My toddler watched the first movie over and over again. Meaning I had to watch it over and over again. Not the greatest movie but certainly as good, plot wise, as any GI Joe/Transforminator flick this summer.
-
Saw the first one with low, low, low, low expectations and was pleasantly surprised. Looking forward to this one mostly because my kids will go nuts over it.
-
When my daughter was a preschooler (all of about 15 years ago), I had purchased a laserdisc player and started a collection of Disney and kids titles. What did she watch on a daily basis? Pinnochio, The Indian In The Cupboard, The Jungle Book, hell, she was obssessed with Hocus Pocus for a while. And I'd take that for a second over what's being served to children nowadays. Thank God for Pixar for keeping the quality in childrens films.
-
i remember that one....Sarah Jessica Parker looked hot, i remember enjoying staring at her, especially during her song while she's flying on her broomstick. lovely view. and who knew the little girl in that movie would grow up to be quite cute and curvy.
-
Remember all movies aren't made for one particular demographic. The first Chipmunks was a great flick for parents with kids who wanted something a parent could sit through without being bored to death. My kids will love this.
-
And if you're a chipmunk fan, like me, then you're also well-served. Believe it or not, there are fanboys for everything. And they really kept the personalities of the characters and the integrity of their "world" mostly intact, so I was thankful for that. My only gripe was Jason Lee - his Dave lacked -any- of the understated anger that Dave needs. Dave is short-tempered and easily pissed-off. I would've gone for Luke Wilson.
-
But then again stupid sells.
-
Nuff said.
-
A) It was done by Pixar B) It respected the 80's material. and C) Animated, not that CGI load.
