Live in Chicago? Want to be the first in town to see Sam Raimi's DRAG ME TO HELL? Capone has the details!!!

Published at: May 12, 2009, 4:31 p.m. CST

Hey everyone. Capone in Chicago here. It’s nearly the middle of the month, and there are still so many big movies left to come out over the next couple of weeks. I promised Chicago-area readers that May would be busy, and to prove it, I’ve booked three more screening between now and the end of May--two of which I’m already seen in rough-cut/work-in-progress versions, and the other one I’m previewing this week. The two I’ve seen already are two of my favorites of the year so far, and the third one may turn out to be the big R-rated comedy of the summer. I know some other folks who have seen it, and can’t heap enough praise upon it. Up first, we’ve got the exclusive AICN screening of Sam Raimi’s return to bat-shit-crazy horror, DRAG ME TO HELL, staring Alison Lohman and Justin Long, one of the highlights from SXSW in March, even with some of the effects not quite finished. The screening will be held Wednesday, May 20 at 8:00 pm at a theater in downtown Chicago. We've got the whole theater to ourselves--about 260 seats to fill, so here's how you win (if you stray from these instruction, your entry will be trashed): Send me an e-mail to capone@aintitcoolmail.com with the subject line "GENTLY BY THE HAND TO HELL". In the body of the email, I need your Name and whether or not you are bringing a Guest (you may bring one guest; I don't need his/her name), and the answer to the following question: WHAT HIDEOUS SIGHTS/TORTURES WOULD YOU EXPECT TO FIND WAITING FOR YOU IN HELL? I’m talking about things that only you would find hellacious, as if hell carved out a nice little corner just for you with all of the things you find hideous and awful. Be detailed, but be brief. No more than 50 words or your entry gets dragged to the hell of my Trash. DEADLINE FOR THE CONTEST IS 5:00 PM CST, MAY 15. Good luck everyone! -- Capone capone@aintitcoolmail.com
