New LAND OF THE LOST trailer reveals smart ass T-Rex screwing with Will!!!
Hey folks, Harry here... and this new LAND OF THE LOST trailer is "THE FUN" - at least to me it is. This begins to show us some of the bigger and more fun aspects of this new LAND OF THE LOST film. I've heard that the T-REX steals the film. Apparently he over hears Rick Marshall talking about how stupid T-Rex's are - and decides to torment Will's Rick for the rest of the film... as often as he can. And I think that sounds fucking hilarious. This trailer finally begins to lay down some of the fun that Moriarty told me this film was going to have in it - and I'm very jazzed about that. Here ya go...

Much less funny here (on top of the rip off). Much less. And I like Will Ferrell. Like "Hancock" looks like a special effects-off with G-rated mentality that's going to bomb because they have "funnY' PG-13 rated booby grabbing in the trailer a la 'The Island' with Ewan and Scarlett bonin' that ruined that "family fun".
And it's a remake. Like everything since 2002.
But god i can't wait to see Star Trek on IMAX. -
I'm all for seeing one with a personality. Could be pretty funny. And Danny Mcbride did get a joke in the trailer, he copped a feel.

I mean, I like him, I find a lot of his movies funny. this doesn't look GREAt, but it doesn't look horrible...I just think you have to be a real dick to hate someone as...I don't know...harmless as Will Ferrell.I mean, I HATE Pat Robertson. I can even understand hating someone like Michael Bay, or someone similarly divisive...but hating Will Ferrell because his brand of humor doesn't appeal to you...I just don't get it.

Nice to see him doing something that isn't oppressively R-rated. I like Ferrell, and I like R-rated movies, but he was best on SNL, and there are at least some constraints on that show. His movies have started to become just scenes of him being as crude as possible, with constant F-bombs instead of any actual jokes, so this looks a little more friendly. And even if this doesn't look phenomenal or anything, I can't believe how many people are shitting all over it. I mean, you guys saw the trailer for The Taking of Pelham 1 2 3, right? The trailer for Tranformers 2? In a world with those trailers, how can this possibly look that shitty to you?

It looks HORRIBLE!! Jurassic Park was released 16 years ago when CGI became the norm for visual FX. This T-Rex looks like shit!

about Ferrell. I like him, he makes me laugh... but I find everything else that surrounds him in his movies strangely unfunny.
I often have the same issues with Ben Stiller and Owen Wilson which is a shame because I think they all have talent for comedy. -

even though the original series was on saturday morning, it never talked down to kids like the rest of Sid & Marty Krofft's other shows. They played it straight on Land of the Lost like most of the other sci-fi shows of the 60s&70s. So what gives w/dumbing it down for today's audiences? Why ruin a perfectly good action/sci-fi concept for the sake of cheap gags? This could've been like Jurassic Park meets Transformers summer popcorn-big! I don't get why you cast Will Ferrell & make it stupid.!!!???

...and I heard a 'BOO' from a woman in the audience as soon as Ferrell's face came on screen. When the sleestaks showed up, this same woman screamed 'NO! NO! NOOOO!'--I guess the combo of a smirking W.F. + 70's 'era tv show brought to life on the big screen is too much for some people.

Of course there is no good way to be reminded of Evolution, but even if I make an effort and disregard the resemblance between the two, this trailer pretty much sucked.
