Ahoy, squirts! Quint here. This is probably the most exciting news of the day for me personally. I'm a die hard fan of THE ORPHANAGE and I love Guillermo del Toro's sensibilities when it comes to genre fare. His choice in material is great and now Steven Zeitchik at Hollywood Reporter's Risky Biz blog says his next producing outing will be an English language horror film called MAMA to be helmed by Andy and Barbara Muschietti, based on their Spanish-language short. I haven't seen the original short, but it apparently focuses on two little girls on the run from a ghostly woman, who I guess is their mother.
