‘He Has To Pay For What He Did!!’ 24 7.21!!
SPOILER ALERT !!
I am – Hercules!!
The two hours since Soul-Patch Tony killed Larry Moss have felt a little flaccid to me. Fewer twists. Fewer reveals and cliffhangers before the breaks. I’m hoping for a rally as the D.C. dawn nears.
Fox says:
While lives remain on the line, an emotional Chloe copes with the declining conditions. With only a few hours left in Jack Bauer's day, the situation worsens when the politicking inside the White House corners the divided administration. Guest Cast: Jon Voight as Jonas Hodges; Elisha Cuthbert as Kim Bauer; Michael Rodrick as Stokes; Sprague Grayden as Olivia Taylor; Glenn Morshower as Aaron Pierce; Will Patton as Alan Wilson; Karim Price as Med Tech; Gabriel Casseus as Galvez; Carlo Rota as Morris O'Brian.
Season eight spoilers lurk in the text invisible.
President Taylor will still be in the White House next season, and she’ll have a new, Rahm Emmanuel-like (or Ari Gold-like) chief of staff named Rob Weiss. The show is also casting a new CTU field-ops chief named Davis Cole, who’s hot for an expert CTU data analyst named Dayna Pakkala. Chloe’s CTU team will be joined by a twentysomething nerd named Jonah Schwartz.
9 p.m. Monday. Fox.

The Bauer Power Hour !
-
Before the finale is aired? That's pretty daring.
-
a season of "24" hours of your life would be like? Going to a horrible job followed by much alcohol, WOW, porn then sleep. I smell blockbuster.
-
gotta disagree with Herc. these last two epsiodes have been very suspenseful in my opinion. not as much crazy action but more building in intensity to set up for the big finish. in particular, i think last weeks episode was really well directed. something stood out about that one for me. i honestly don't know what this season is building towards and that's a good thing. with only a few hours left to go things could still go in a bunch of different directions.
-
Tuesday, May 19th... one day after the season finale. GOOD! I'm tired of having to wait until Nov./Dec. to buy the box set.
-
I'm kinda in the middle ground with Herc and Mogwai. There seems to be nothing special happening but at the same time I feel like it's possibly leading to something that is completely unexpected. I'm holding out judgement until the end. So far I'd say that this season is better than 6 but still not as great as 5. I also think the year off kinda hurt though.
-
of the 24 archetypes doesn't mean Jack (if he survives...yeah, right) is going to be Chloe's dog again; do this...do that. This season has been refreshing because of the relative lack of computer mumbo jumbo.
-
and i dont mean on the show, i mean real life. just shitty casting. a sour faced, down syndrome looking mole! piss her off. also get rid of that short battle axe dyke who thinks youre racist if you dont wanna pay more tax.
-
IT'S THE ONLY WAY WE CAN SURVIVE!!
-
anyone watch this weeks episode? was marvelous! hope they dont cancel the show
-
Why are the most gay centric 24 quotes used to head the talk back?
-
Thank you
-
........it feels like there arent enough episodes left to resolve the story, however unlike previous seasons I feel maybe only Hodges and Tony will be resolved and the larger threat forms the basis of season 8.
-
You heard it hear first!
-
In addition to Moss, too many FBI/Goodguy colaterals killed off by him. An interesting set up for next seasnom and the movie.
Only Jack has sack to kill off colaterals. Period -
The last three episodes of this season have been outstanding. Yet it's clear that this shady organisation is the one that will threaten jack next season and the one that Tony is trying to bring down from the inside, come on people it works. Reading about Season 8 depresses me though, hasn't this series showed the writers anything? Don't go back to CTU! That's a stale motherfucker, stay out of LA, drop Chloe altogther, drop Kim she's so fucking boring and that story with her daughter is lame as, glad they're keeping granny president, Freckles Bauer absolutely HAS TO STAY! And don't kill off Tony again. Peace
-
He is infected with a pathogen for christ sakes.
-
They're going to say some shit how Season 8 is going back to basics, how it'll be all "personal" and shit for jack, and then here we'll be a year later, at the end of another absolutely ridiculous and nonsensical season, same old "he's our only lead" shit over and over, with deep voiced narrator telling us how THE STAKES, TWISTS, AND THREATS, ETCETERA were never BIGGER. Fuck this shit.
-
Seeing Morris in this one mekes me think he will bite it soon. And I'm not talking about Chloe's left tit.
-
I've been saving it up all weekend...
-
GRAVITAS!!!
-
Jack will be saved but with semi-permanent damamge that will keep him out of the field for the first 12 hours of next season but when the chips are down shaky Bauer will summon the strength to cap some terrorists. Tony is in deep cover and knew that Moss was a goner anyway...Moss was a mercy killing. Tony's betrayal of the new blue tooth gang will be saved up for the season opener next year as he will escape into the sewers Marwan style.
What I'd like to hear Jack say most before this season is over: "I'm gonna need a hacksaw" -
That Hulk Hogan will be playing the new CTU head honcho. WTF? "Bauer..whatcha gonna do?"
-
I hope the next season rocks just as hard, especially if it truly is the final season.
-
This season has rocked pretty hard, in no small part to Tony being an actually bad motherfucker. And to anyone who says he still good, being a triple-double-super agent undercover, fuck that. If that's the truth, I really will have to evaluate my continued viewership. That would just be so unbelievably stupid at this point. I understand the impulse...but its gone too far. He's done things, without remorse, way worse than anything Jack ever did. And they were things he didn't even have to do. If he is actually a good guy, that will be the biggest mistake of the whole series. Besides, why would you ever want that? We all know Tony is one of the only people on Earth who can even poes a real threat to Jack. I'd rather have him be the villain than some new terrorist or whatever, you know?
-
And I really needed to see Zoefan's weekly "I love Freckles Bauer" post. I wish Olivia Dunham could be as interesting as Renee Walker who does more in 10-15 minutes so screen time per episode then Olivia's done all year.

This season has rocked, except where is EnderSmitesFoes

Bring that crazy son of a bitch back
-
Jonas Hodges has been such a letdown as a villian...I was expecting big things from Jon Voight...when I first heard that Voight was hired to be Season 7's big baddie I was anticipating an epic 24 villian...instead we probably got one of the worst villians in 24 history...so dull and boring...did plans change for him when the 24 writers re-wrote the final 6 episodes? did they change the Hodges character after seeing that he was not very interesting?
-
he had this air of superior smugness and self-assurance that I thought was fantastic. I mean, nothing ruffled that guy. The way he justifies what he does and how he talked down the FBI was classic. I didn't like how they got him to talk. That was a letdown. Almost like making Darth Vader this pathetic dude in the end of Return of the Jedi. I wanted Darth to go down swinging, which is what I hoped Jonas would be. But he had some stellar moments.
-
It really has been great, and even though its already been said many times before, benefitted from the writers strike so much.
I also think this will have a knock on effect with Season 8 as they will have had a little more leverage than usual to get the writing in place for what may be the last season of 24.
I cant wait to see what the remaining 4 episodes have in store. Does anyone know if ep's 23 and 24 will air together? -
I agree it seems like they can't resolve all the threads in the remaining hours...I smell cliffhanger ending with next season taking place 48 hours after this season and Jack still recovering from stem cell treatment.
-
I hope things really kick into high gear tonight. And Jack and Tony need to have an epic confrontation in order to hash out what's transpired between them. They still have work to do with Tony's character and they owe it to the fans to give us some closure.
-
...to take down the top of the top. The real twist is probably who's behind it all. Great season so far.
-
Someone left him out of the refrigerator over night.....
-
she'd be veronica belmont. look it up if you don't know cuz its true.
-
of 24. That would be interesting.
-
I have felt that from the beginning of the new turn to being a bad guy. Tony knows he can expose the five top secret leaders of the cabala, but he must do whatever evil he has to get them. My guess we will be hearing the silent clock for Tony in the final episode.
-
where was it confirmed that Season 8 will be taking place 48 hours after Season 7 ends?...I've heard rumors of Season 8 taking place 'shortly' after Season 7 but have not heard any definite time frames...New York City is a nice locale for 24...hopefully they will do a lot of actual filming in NY and not in LA-pretending-to-be-NY...I smell bombings in the subways and at the United Nations
-
get CTU and all of it's inherent moles in place in NYC.
-
...but then again, I love stinkweed.
-
You are not alone. She kinda reminds me of my ex-wife. I must be sick. But I still would.
-
To Juan Carlos Coto? Juan Carlos was the writer of last week's episode. Did he not like the name Manny?
-
Jack bauer!
-
when she gets ass banged?
-
I hated Chloe like the 1st two seasons she was on..but somehow somewhere along the line, I dont hate her anymore.
-
I'd do her.
-
She'd be on the list... not up there with Rack, or Kim or First Daughter, but certainly ahead of the president lady.
-
I would - but first I'd batter Rack Bauer until she could barely walk. Wouldn't touch Kim Bauer with Harry's.
-
He's not bad - confirmed. He's working back into the conspiracy - the only way he can, by collateral damage.
-
...was one of the most enjoyable moments in this series EVER.
-
Agreed... I'm fairly certain that's the only reason Janeane was on the show, for a Jack Bauer Moment like that.
-
and Jack dies.
-
The city of Chi has made you SO COLD, man!.......
-
Aarons gonna drop a Roosevelt DIME on that bitch Olivia!...Then he's gonna give her the same look he gave her when she fucked up the escape in the White House...
-
I originally dismissed the show but recently got hooked. Great show! Didn't realize The Shield creator, Sean Ryan co-created the show with David Mamet. That's some solid pedigree, right there.
I agree that Tony is totally a good guy working on the inside, deep deep. I hope that reveal isn't supposed to be the Big One which usually comes at the end of the season. It's a bit too obvious.
Here's a thought. Shows like 24, which are not too entrenched in character development must rely on surprise twists to keep the show good and fresh. Shows like LOST, which take time to develop characters, can get away with less surprising twists because you care more about the characters.
Don't know if 24's hourly serialized format with the continuing cliffhangers would work as well if the show took the time to develop its characters better, though. -
Master Ski-meister!
-
I'm giving you Triple-A credit.
-
drawn out... tonight... snore....
-
Yes it's me, but circumstances have, like the original Xiphos, required me to improvise.
And Chloe is not hot. Sorry. -
Jack and Co. will track Tony down just as Tony has helped to put an end to whatever the evil threat is. Jack and Co. must take Tony in because even if he did these things for the greater good, he is still a murderer of Feds.
Tony will shoot himself rather than be taken in.
Jack will watch as Tony drops, be tore up and simply want to give up.
Very last scene will be Jack accepting Kim's transfusion and meeting his grandchild and he'll be torn between love for them and knowing that he does what he has to do to protect those that he loves.
fade to black. -
Yeah, it's a snoozefest. Still beats any episode of Heroes this season.
-
I might just have to check that out.
-
so wet-work costs $250k in D.C. Good to know..
-
Word!I'm really surprised the Tony-is-doing-it-all-for-the-greater-good theorists are so pervasive here and utterly convinced. It's just a silly premise.
-
That was Franco though, thanks for the confim on that Sherm... might be worth checking out.
-
I agree it won't be Jack that kills Tony. I see a situation where Jack been disarmed by Tony, and right before tony yells "I didn't want to have to do this Jack", POW.....Freckles shots Tony....
-
In other words, you got scared...
-
Was Hodges in the car when it blew?
-
"Mr Tippet?", "yes?", "smug asshole says what?". "what?". BOOM
-
Were Tony playing puppet, and a Car Go Boom... So, I could have watched the basketball game instead this week.
-
Did something actually happen in this episode?
-
Good call, I think it WILL be Freckles that shoots him. They already set that up with her anger when she found out about her lover being killed by Tony.
-
You know how this T.V. shit works! If they do a long-pan shot of a vehicle in the background, it's ova!
-
Yeah, he was in it. You didn't miss much. Just your everyday 24 car goes boom explosion.
-
Don't even bother bringing back Aaron Pierce, Agent of SHIELD, if you're just going to have him playing butler to the President's daughter the whole fucking time.
-
now columbians are gonna roll up on the white house like the end of scarface looking for that bitch daughter
-
was totally begging for me to come over to her with that look.
-
Nice delivery.
-
Time to fork over de cash, Liv. Aaron's gotta a verrrrrry itchy trigger finger....
-
shit where someone tries to link Pres. daughter to the explosion. Maybe a blackmail setup to get to the Pres?
Yawn fest. We don't give a shit about the bitch, so who cares.
Wonder how Aaron (the only likable character in the White House) will play into this. -
A face-to-face meeting usually always means somebody's getting murked

The guy who is falling apart wants to run point, that okay?
by taking_up_space
Sure, go ahead.
-
The whole WORLD cares about ol' Jacky-boy...
-
Is going to be the one to piece it all together... probably last episode. But not after he hits that like a porn star.
-
Question to all; does anyone miss the Jack Sack?
-
has a higher body count than Jack this season.
-
What school of badassery did this kid goes to that the first thing he does is grab a shard and cut his captor's throat? I call BULLSHIT!
-
Shit happens
-
To act like a terrorist
-
Damn. Hodges goes out like a chump, too...he deserved better (well, worse).
-
Seriously...that was a total letdown. Next week better make up for it.
-
Could have done without I guess, only important piece was Hodges.
We have, what, 3 hours left? -
he catchs tony next week? I'm so fucking confused.
Fucking previews. -
Showdown!
-
Tony's impression of Wolverine at the end of the first X-Men movie.
-
You mean X2.
-
we'll probably know what the rewrites were for.
-
Yes, X2.
-
Oh,well. A good final 3 make up for it.
-
If Tony gets caught next week, he ain't dying... He and Jack will be "Forced to work together" in some BS fashion... I don't know which one is Nolte, and which one is Eddie Murphy though.
-
But next week looks nuts.
-
If season 8 (which has been confirmed for over two-years) does take place so soon after season 7's finale, then Jack catching Tony so soon means two things: Tony's will get murked, ala' Hodges to silence him by the bigger group, or he escapes/cooperates with Jack and the FBI, and the story line carry's over to season 8.
-
"Can I have my lighter back, Jack?"
"Shut up, convict!"
-
From those U.S, Cellular ads, I'd bet he'd have a better singing voice.
-
Both of you.
-
There is no season 8. It's a smokescreen to hide the fact that Jack dies at the end of this season.
-
Any chance Aaron planted the bomb to take out Hodges?
-
so who killed Hodges?...I was thinking the same thing that Aaron Pierce was the one...who else could it be?...maybe the First Husband/Lady Henry Taylor?
-
Her "cancellation" (lack of payment) was received. If anything, she's being set up by the cabal, who also still have a mole in either the WH or the FBI. Is that mole Janis Gold? Yeah, I think so. Well, whomever it ends up being, the point is there is DEFINITELY a mole left to be revealed and he/she was the one that called in the car bomb. There's no way Olivia's call to her friend would have resulted in a car bomb that quickly.
-
camped outside Olivia's room/office for the entire hour? Can't see how he could be the one who killed Hodges if he was anchored to one position.
-
May 04, 2009 11:11:40 PM CDT
If Aaron Pierce is involved, then I'm done as a fan of this show
by yackbacker
Making Tony "evil" was bad enough. Making Pierce a bad guy is fucking sacrilege. Take it back, you bad bad people!
-
remember when Jack first caught Tony and was interrogating him at FBI headquarters early in the season? Jack was asking him what was going on and Tony was talking about how he lost everything he had due to the the government, and that Jack still working for the government was like 'spitting on his wife Teris grave'?sure, later he played it off like he only said that so Jack would come at him and he could give him the code word or whatever, but i think that exchange in that room was the one time we actually got the truth from Tony this season. i think that scene was important and says it all about his motivation this season. Maybe Tony IS trying to take down the secret evil group with everything he's doing, but he's doing it for entirely selfish reasons. he's doing it for revenge and no matter who gets in his way, he's going to take them down. i still think that somehow he is trying to get to ex-prez Charles Logan.and yeah, this episode was mostly just setup for the finale, but i think the finale is going to be NUTS!
-
There's someone bigger than Tony who is his boss. A new character, or maybe someone we know already.
-
I really think they fucked up the moment they had jack get infected. Up until that point this season was rocking, but somehow they managed to screw it up and fall into the
usual rut (usually 3/4s of the way through season 1, 4, 6).
Also, just so much random stupid stuff happening. Like how Renee lets Jack run point (Which she shouldn't),randomly tells that civilian that Jack is infected with a bio-weapon (which is classified information), and the uses that as a justification for letting him run point. What kind of fucking logic is that? "Ya, he's been infected with a virus that fucks up his brain, and he's going to die within 24 hours, so he'll be fine leading an assault where a young hostage is involved". Oh well, next week looks like it finally picks up, hopefully last 3 eps will be non-stop action -
Her post-pregnancy boobs are awesome.
-
She definitely put the ass in aspergers.
-
It's been so flat and dull since Tony's big heel turn. It's just not working. I don't buy it, and it's so convoluted and unbelievable. The show was going fine before they did it. Tonight was another snoozer.
-
The 4-5 episodes up until Jack got infected was amongst the best ever on 24. So much action and suspense. It's really been flat since that episode ended (where Jack opened the truck and got infected)
-
BORING.
-
No more Jonas Hodges. Loved the way he threw the paper after the agent left the room. Otherwise, it's been kinda slow. Tony's new lady friend needs to get nekkid. Ever since Mandy departed, 24 has been lacking nekkidness.
-
was pretty much the most awesome thing I've seen on tv this year (that wasn't called Xavier: Renegade Angel.)I can't listen to anyone whine about waterboarding without flashing back on it, now.
-
May 05, 2009 5:26:49 AM CDT
Having time to rewrite only makes the show worse it seems
by guy who got a headache and accidentally
If you ask me this season was only any good the first couple of episodes, before the big rewrite with that lame as hell white house invasion and onward. And these last couple since Tony turned bad again, which they had time to rewrite some more are even duller. Maybe they actually do do a better job when there's a deadline. There was a line from Jonas Hodges earlier in the season, "stress is the vertilizer of creativity" I feel like that was the writers talking now. Only Jack and Tony with Emerson and Jack on the run from that Starkwood Mercenary have been exciting at all so far, I can't figure out for the life of me why everyone is going on how this season has been great, that only thing keeping it from being bad as last year is no lame jack's family is a terrorist story. But still they've managed to have equally unbelievable storylines.
-
Im a bit concerned that this week is a bit of a weak one. Im in the UK so wont get to watch the episode till tonight. I usually scan the talkback for a feeling of what it was like without hitting too many spoilers along the way (dosent always work!).
That leaves 3 episodes to wrap up the season and while I dont doubt that jack will ream a LOT of asshole before the day is over, they are cutting it fine. Still think it sets the stage for season 8 though which I feel may play out in a similar way to season 5. -
I think there's a good chance they're going to leave some loose ends that won't be resolved in 3 hours. Maybe this time, they won't take the customary leap between seasons and brush over them. With so little time, thing should at least ramp up; Cruz Pezuela shows up next week; too bad he's an agent and not Cruz Pezuela.
-
the last two episodes kinda stunk if I'm honest. Man, Chloe's face...ugh.
-
I concur. That was by far THE BEST TV moment of the year.
-
The paper throwing cracked me up. They should have cut to silent clock.
-
If you're writing 24 episodes for a 24-Hour time period there's going to be lulls in there. In my opinion the only "come on" episodes were those lame ass White House invasion episodes. That was lame and beyond suspension of disbelief.
-
Season 1 Jack Bauer would beat the shit out of Season 7 Jack Bauer.
-
24 is like a book, some chapters are more exciting than others, but to hold the story together and move it along you need all the chapters whether they're exciting or just okay. This was just an okay chapter for me, too, but it advanced the plot. I really hope Jack saves Gibran, or whatever the guys name is.
-
This has to be the dullest three consecutive episodes in 24 history. And these are the retooled episodes to "get them right."? I've enjoyed this season for the most part but it really seems like they are running out of ideas.
-
A couple of episodes where things hit a lull and people are crying out that its lost its momentum etc. However if it were non stop action people whould compain there wasnt enough story.
In my opinion episode 20 was a lot of talk and character rather than frantically paced action and I loved every second of it.
But yeah, erm we are at the end of this season now so lets see the remaining episodes take it back up a notch for the finale. -
They really fucked up that one. That episode should have been about Tony's BETRAYAL writ large on Jack's face from moment one, but Jack may be broken both physically and spiritually which makes for a tense "will he die this time" atmosphere but some boring ass filler. Cut to the chase...
-
the virus gets loose in a contained area, infected the bad guys including Tony. Fortunately they have an antidote. Tony, in a last minute change of heart, gives his dose to a paralyzed and frothing Jack. Probably after meeting a begging Kim. This isn't a spoiler, just pure speculation on my part.
-
I started getting sleepy in the middle. The car bomb woke me up, but Jonas deserved a more epic death. Hopefully, the finale will make up for the string of ho-hum episodes we've gotten lately.
-
everyone's gone. Better save it for next week.
-
If you ever read this your man kiefer sutherland has just made the papers here in UK. He is alledged to have head-butted a designer while "defending brook shields' honour". That fuckers going to need some asprin.DON'T FUCK WITH JACK BAUER
-
Just classic. I hope he started screaming at the top of his lungs at the designer or whomever it was.
-
...OMFG - Jack Bauer finds Jesus??!!
-
"I NEED TO KNOW HOW TO FIND PEACE AND LOVE, NOW DAMMIT!"
-
Jesus: "In three days I will rise from the dead."
Jack: WE ARE RUNNING OUT OF TIME
Jesus: You will know not the day nor the hour.
Jack: DAMMIT, You WILL TELL ME NOW!!
Jesus: Amen
Jack: ITS NOT OVER! -
Freckles Bauer kicks ass and takes names
-
all along David Palmer it was his body double who got shot that day and in hour 24 the last 10 minutes he will show up and tell jack to let tony go he has been working for him all along like a good soldier. it will end with David Palmer saying jack you saved me now let me save you here is the cure to the swine flu
-
Just sayin'
