‘It’s Michael Scott!!’ Antepenultimate OFFICE!!

Published at:  Apr 30, 2009 4:08:53 PM CDT

SPOILER ALERT !!

I am – Hercules!!

Last week saw the absorption of The Michael Scott Paper Company into Dunder Mifflin. This week we will see how Pam Beesley integrates herself into the DM sales force.

I think Pam may technically have already closed more sales than fellow returnee Ryan Howard at this point.

This week:
CASUAL FRIDAY
Written by Anthony Farrell
Michael has to mediate a dispute within his new sales team. Meanwhile, trouble brews in the office when several employees take the term “casual” Fridays too loosely.

Next week:
CAFÉ DISCO
Michael enters the cafe-disco business. Meanwhile, Pam and Jim decide to take a secret trip.

May 14:
COMPANY PICNIC
Written by Jen Celotta and Paul Lieberstein
It’s the annual Dunder Mifflin company picnic and Michael and Holly are reunited, and Michael has some big plans for her. Meanwhile, the office competes in the picnic’s volleyball tournament.

Kelly Erin Hannon, the new receptionist, is expected to keep her job subsequent to Pam’s return.

“The Wire” vets Idris Elba and Amy Ryan will both appear in the fifth season finale because ALL the Dunder Mifflin branches will be brought together for a giant picnic. Mike Ausiello at Entertainment Weekly says to expect a big twist that will echo into season six.

Expect Jim & Pam to tie the knot this fall.

How can you NOT be a Creed fan?! 'I've been involved in cults, both as a leader and follower. Make more money as a leader...but you have more fun as a follower.' The man is brilliant.

Wouldn't that be crazy? Bring everybody back just to boot 'em out again. I have enjoyed this season, but just in spurts here and there; I'm just worried they're having trouble coming up with interesting and new stories and jokes. And if it's gonna' end, I'd like to see it end gracefully; I'd honestly not be dissapointed if next season was the last. They've given us plenty of the funny.

    by saintsaucey

Suffers from an over abundance of Amy Poler and and Under abundance of Every one else. The 19 year old intern looked really hot in this episode. Surely there were other female leads they could have used for this show. Casting Rashida Jones in the Pam role is pretty funny though. Atleast the guy playing her boyfriend showed some maturity this week, something Roy never did. Though last week when they were talking about hiring a delivery driver I was so hoping they would hire Roy.

Ok ep. In the immortal words of the Schrute, "Good, not great." Is it wrong that the new receptionist is growing on me? She's stupid in the same funny way that Michael and Andy are.

Also...was I the only one actually on Michael's side this ep? He took their clients...but that's because they wouldn't stand up for him when he was fired and asked for their loyalty. Granted, he can be a pain; but they straight-up SHUNNED him (save Pam). And now THEY want an apology? For him being a better salesman? Pah-LEEZE!

    by bizarrojerry

Shouldn't these details have been ironed out by Michael and David Wallace. The problem with corporate in this series is sometimes they seem to be in full control, other times the office is run like they don't exist. I don't think a real company would have made the deal to bring these employees in and not hammer out the details. And there should be a limited number of sales people per office.By the way, to expect these people to risk their jobs on Michael's insane and inevitably failed business venture after his tantrum over Charles is too much. These people need their jobs. There was no real loyalty issue here.BUT, I do agree that if they lost their clients, they should have gone and gotten some new ones. What the hell are these people doing if not constantly looking for new clients?

In this economy you'd have to be nuts to walk away from your job. Its not like theres that much opportunity at the moment. I do think everyone in the office should stop bitching about why Michaels the boss. Clearly he got the job because he's the best salesman and he proved it by putting not only the branch but the CFO on the ropes. As childish as he is, Michaels the boss so live with it. Plus its cool to see him with something to actually be proud of for once. After Jan, the condo, and Holly I really wanted to feel good for this guy. Now if only Toby could get a win in.
