‘My Name Is Jack Bauer!!’ 24 7.20!!
SPOILER ALERT !!
I am – Hercules!!
Jack looks strangely healthy in that clip. Could Kim have already forked over some Spinach-y stem cells so he’s strong to the finish?
I’m reminded that “24” closed down for nearly a month to reshape these final six episodes. Is the new direction successful?
Fox says:
The nation remains vulnerable as Starkwood mastermind Jonas Hodges (guest star Jon Voight) remains at the epicenter of the mounting terrorist threat. Meanwhile, the FBI and the administration scramble to provide security and justice, and Jack Bauer questions a key suspect.
9 p.m. Monday. Fox.

has mad cow disease?!?!
-
24 has peaked.
-
Isn't Jonas Hodges dead?
-
Kim's going to use her baby's cord blood, that she has so topically preserved to save her dad's life. Count on it.
-
I wanna see more bulgy eye action!
-
Im totally pumped for the remaining episodes and Season 8 too after this strong season.
-
I'm still hoping that they manage to salvage Tony's character from this. I loved the season up until his 'reveal' as the villain. I hope it's a headfuck.
-
If Tony actually is a villan then so be it. If thats the way they have decided Tonys fate should be then so be it. Thats why they make tv shows and you work at wall mart.
-
I've only watched the first few episodes of this season. She makes the show unbearable.
-
I have followed the show since Day 1 and went off it completely last season. But decided to watch the first 12 of this season. From the first few hours I was hooked again. DAMNMIT
-
Since she's had all of like 10 minutes screen time in the last 15 episodes.
-
It'd be a good idea to let Jack into a hospital room to interrogate a suspect again?
Is Hodges being brought to the same hospital the First Lady is in? -
This season has been terribly far-fetched, and not in a fun way. Experimental stem cell treatment? The threat that ALWAYS seems to be over until someone says "this was just the tip of the iceberg". At a certain point in time it gets to where enough is enough.
-
As if you didn't already know that.
-
There have been none this season. What happened?
-
Even over at EW there's been zip for 24 spoilers. TPTB have done a pretty solid job of keeping everything under wraps this season.
-
Oh wait that was Inigo Montoya.
-
Groundbreaking show.
-
Hopefully we see her in a wet t-shirt tonight
-
An AWESOME season by any standards; and actual light years above the retched last season with his Dad. Rack, Larry, and a host of old school favorites such as Kim, Mr and Mrs O'Brien; Special agent of S.H.I.E.L.D and so many awesome moments like White House Attack; jack literally drops a house on an attacker and then throws a long handle screwdriver THROUGH KEVLAR directly into his heart and then uses the same screwdriver to start the car -- its always awesome on 24. TONY being the real bad guy is the single most awesome twist in the final hours since NINA was revealed to be the mole in season 1. This season is too good for tv. I await the last hours of ticking clock!!!!! (I hope the same 3 people who commented on HEROES last week enjoy themselves on whats widely reported as a yet another crash and burn Heroes finale.)

My Name Is Spankmyassyoudirtywhore. Your name is Rack Bauer.
by spankmyassyoudirtywhore
Can I buy you a drink?
Maybe we can get Rack Freckles Bauer to replace ScriptGirl? -
Awesome villains: Tony and the guy who vaguely resembles 50 Cent, Dubaku, bad Secret Service guy who got chokeslammed off the 2nd floor through a table by a the First Gentleman, JOHN "scenery chewing" VOIGHT, Tony "Candy Man" Todd as General Juma, "Big Pimpin" Dubaku, and Quentin (ooh... he's good!).
The many scenes of Rack Bauer running have been icing on a delicious cake. -
You know it.
-
Is to plant some Bauer Power Sperm into her, get her pregnant, then eat her out to suck those embryonic stem cells out her vag. THAT is a season finale I would Tivo.
-
Just credit £49.99 to my paypal account for immediate (not including postal times) satisfaction!!!1
Please? -
Digging the way he just left Jack twitching on the ground like a little bitch. Still hoping the Kim/Chesty Freckles shower scene will happen.
-
The show would be more interesting.
They just plain old die.
-
..the talkbacks there are freaking hilarious. Random exclaimations about Obamas' fascist agenda, how Starkwood being made the bad guy is unamerican, etc., etc. I love it.
-
Just saying...
-
.....if chase had lost his head. He really bugged me for some reason. Cant quite put my finger on it. Luckily I havent seen the guy on tv since so all's good in the world!
-
Writers of HEROES, take note. THIS is how you bring a show back to life.
-
You may have a point. There just aren't enough limb losses on the show. Nor enough Jack ripping someone's throat with his teeth.
-
...in the final moment of the finale of S3
-
has been telegraphed all season long. His job has always been to get a cannister of the bio-weapon away from Hodges. He's just used anything and everyone at his disposal to do so. Including Jack.
-
It only remembers what happened within the last hour, so it's no problem to simply make up everything new every two weeks. I expect Nina to turn up alive at this point.
-
Someone finally got some pics of LANA Wachowski (formerly Larry). http://perezhilton.com/2009-04-27-reclusive-matrix-director-spotted Words fail me....but 'she' does look pretty feminine, unlike the one pic that leaked out several years ago.
-
the had was a pretty clean cut, so it's not like he would have lost the hand, but I was expecting to at least see it twitch a little bit.. that's why I wasn't sure it was him
-
And I guarantee you I never will
-
chrth - At this point, that wouldn't be an issue. Remember, it's already been proven that Jack didn't kill that first guy. (Not to mention, the FBI director who would potentially raise the biggest stink about Jack visiting Hodges - is already dead.)

I'm thinking cross between Supernatural and old school Shaw Brothers ma limb loss. Maybe something like Jet Li in Tau ming chong where he takes the Kwan Dao and slices the legs off the row of soldiers facing him.
Now that would be cool. -

Jack'll ask: "Why'd you have to do Ethan Hunt that way, fool?"

Tony is a genius. His plan is totally inspired. His objective as we now know was to get hold of a canister of CJD to use for nefarious gain. So in order to do that he;
1) He teams up with Bill and Chloe and convinces them to be uber underground CTU
2) Kidnaps the one and only guy that can create a device that can hack through governement firewalls
3) Uses this as a way to get in with General Dubaku
4) He anticipated that Jack would be released from the legal proceedings he was involved in to help out and save the day
5) He let himself get captured so that he could recruit Jack
6) Jack defeats Dubaku and Tony goes and hangs out in a coffee shop for an episode or two
7) Knowing that Jack will somehow work out that Starkwood are involved, and are smuggling in CJD Tony enjoys his cuppa joe
8) He waits for his phone call from Jack, who is in trouble and needs help again
9) He goes to help, storms the base, gets captured, gets released, kills Larry and then meets the mole he placed in the team that he knew would be storming the base.
10) Deceiving everyone yet again he saves the mole and gets captured by Jack.
And this was his plan all along? The guy is a genius for it to have all fallen in to place, and all in one day too :D
(and yes, I know I got a lot of stuff wrong. But you get my point. And if you don't get my point, I don't care :P) -
I wonder if the DVD will go into details about the scrapped final 6 episodes. Can't help but to wonder if in one version, Tony was acting undercover, and the other, he's just gone bad.

-
Hey Shermdawg, maybe Tony is still ticked that you are a whining little bitch? Who knows.
-
This is all soooooo exciting!!
I can't believe they want to end it all next season!!
What will I do once 24 is over!!!!?!??! -
Nah, he's got more important stuff on his mind, like Victor Tooms shacking up with his old lady on Lost.
-
this isn't anything new, he began on this dark road in season 3. It's all Michelle fault anyway
-
That's my prediction for the end of this season. To fight the virus that's killing him, the doctors suggest he go comatose for an extended time to possibly be cured. That closes off this season and then when next season happens and whatever terrorist threat occurs, we'll hear/see Cherry Jones say, "Someone go wake up Jack Bauer". Jack wakes up to a very different world next season.
-
I never thought I'd see the day when people would voluntarily go to the Zone

This season was great until Jack opened the truck and got contam
by bigtuna
At the end of that episode, the show really lost focus and momentum. That episode+ the previous 4 were incredible for suspense and action. Amongst the best run of episodes on 24 ever. The Tony heel turn ain't working for me at all(and not because I like him but because it makes zero sense)This stem-cell b.s is just laughable nonsense.
-
another quality 24 talkback. Wonder who gets it this episode?
-
Spoiler. Seriously, though, Evil Tony kicks ass. Me likey.

by tallboy66
So I hope when the last 6 eps were rewritten, it was to change it back to Evil Tony vs. Jack so thats why I love these last few episodes. Because it's finally Evil Tony vs. Jack and there's no turning back now, fuckers!
-
Ås in "pussed out" but they pussed in again with making Tony evil for realz this time.
-
Making Jack sick sucked most of the momentum out of a rollicking plot. Is this Spider-Man or something?
-
Have him come back as an asshole next season.
-
He kicks ass.
-
He's Evil, people. And on a sidenote, I would bone the doctor.
-
Damn. Oh well...Bauer-Almeida throwdown imminent!
-
I'd bone the doctor, Freckles, Kim Bauer, First Daughter... not necessarily in that order, but oh hell yeah at the same time.
-
I'd throw in the evil/sexy fake lawyer
-
Well, until right this moment.
-
Forgot about evil/sexy fake lawyer.
-
They always hide shit in the air vent.
-
Good call.
-
So Evil Sexy Fake Lawyer wanted Hodges dead, but he faked a fake death? What? I'm confused.
-
and that would be Tony's version of Rack Bauer.
-
Out of surgery yet?
-
Evil Bastards.
-
With the Legion of Doom!
-
I believe everyone was using the Dennis Haysbert Voice Modulation system... it's not as popular as the James Earl Jones version, but it gets the job done.
-
Krycek. He needs to be on this show as well...Nicolas Lea Ratboy action!
-
He's out to expose this MASSIVE consipiracy of people he hasn't been able to identify, and now he's gotten them to agree to blow their whole wad with a SINGLE canister instead of the whole shitload. He did what Jack would've done. Looked at the larger picture. He HAD to get to these people or they would've gone underground. Jack put a bullet in Chapelle's head. He would've killed Chase. This is no different. Watch.
-
Did Tony take the dude out of the bathroom before showering?
-
Tony's good, the Prof. Snape school of espionage.
-
i dont think they are rich white businessmen, im thinking its members of the us senate
-
nah... You'll get that clip when 24 does their Go Green commercial this week.
Remember, shower with a friend. -
rich white businessmen.
-
But the writers have REALLY nailed the good vs evil, torture vs interrogation, greater good etc argument this season.
-
Get Chloe on the phone, stat.
-
after you reboot the ctu servers, im going to need my sack back
-
Of course, would be on the list, but closer to the bottom... something about those chipmunk cheeks.
-
...to me. Pathogen in Bauer's blood an outward manifestation of Bauer's struggle of right vs. wrong? Jack sees a mirror of himself in Almeida and Hodges? Or am I stretching it?
-
Or go after her family.
-
no, I don't think you're stretching it too much... I think Hodges is what jack could have been, had he not had his moral base to ground him.
-
if they took the Snape route with Tony...but I don't want to get my hopes up.
-
Snape? Nah, there'd have to be a larger Dumbledore figure pulling the strings, and we clearly don't have that here...
/nerd -
I was thinking the same thing and I think its more than feasible. In fact, I think that is exactly what happens. Tony says you never leave a enemy fallen and finish him off - well, he didn't finish off Jack even though he could not have done it at that spot and Jack is dying anyway. But why would Tony let Jack know for 100% that he was 'bad guy'
-
To TONY SNAPE
-
you look like hell. lol
So the scapegoat is a couple of dorm roomies? -
...the bravest man I've ever known.
-
Does anyone else find her BEYOND IRRITATING? She is nothing more than a wannabe Sherry Palmer and a piss poor attempt at clone at that. And I think the Prez choosing this hyper emotional family member to be Chief of Staff reeks of nepotism in addition to bad decision making.
Did I mention that I can't stand the First Daughter's acting and heck, her entire plot line? -
That is a perfect name... Bringing Krycek in there and calling him the Bravest Man I've Ever Known .. kudos ... kudos indeed
-
but a model eating a Hardees thick Burger is just a leetle disgusting.
-
The Government knows the secret group has the bio weapon.
The Secret Group knows the government knows they have the bio-weapon.
So why the hell do they think the government will believe their fake terrorist plan? -
He's gotta be brave to go up against Jack. Brave and ballsy.
-
24 producers really need to get audience feedback during placement of these idiots in the show.. this is horrendous!
-
I love that commercial...especially when the ketchup drips on her leg and she licks it off. They do know their target demographic...although I gave up fast food years ago.
-
The Secret Group only has to fool the public.. not the govt. They will get power that way.
-
Sheesh.
-
Needs to bitchslap first daughter, and fast.
-
Kinda pointless bringing him back if he has so little to do.
-
this is what 24 reworked?
-
Just bitch-slap Giraffe-alo already.
-
Shut that BITCH up!!!!
-
ANSWER ME, YOU CUNT!!!!!
-
Wow.
-
Holy fuck she had that coming.
-
reel. Hahahaha!
-
And Jack totally loses it...
And Chloe states the obvious... -
... he said Palmer twice instead of Taylor. So why believe him that Almeida has gone rogue??
-
.... and that annoying pipsqueak needed to get slapped by Jack as well...
-
Was it the VP?
I agree, Tony is deep, deep undercover looking to expose the group behind it all. That will be the big reveal at the end of the season. -
You dumb bastards.
-
holy shit. she got the Jack treatment.
-
Than some hippy liberal fuck.
-
That was one of the best Bauer yelling fits EVER. Someone needs to sign Kief up as a drill sgt. in a flick of some type.
-
Apr 27, 2009 9:03:13 PM CDT
Yeah, I mean why even have laws at all
by guy who got a headache and accidentally
Wait, why are we supposedly better than China and places like that?
-
and did some great voice acting. I agree with you, Sherm.
-
Killing FBI dudes point blank, assaulting with a phone book, his response to "was that necessary?", and then showering with a dead guy leaning against the tub.
-
you are absolutely right.
-
Then again, he did get shot in the neck, have major surgery, and then run around a few hours later a few seasons back. What a trooper.
-
When Bart and Lisa get sent to Military School.
-
It would have been hotter if it had been two chicks instead!
-
that one white dude from the secret group looked and sounded like Ryan Chappelle...I thought I saw his name in the credits as well...oh...and I like the First Daughter...she's purdy!
-
Pathetic. The conservatives have taken over the writing team. Wild liberal hairbrained conspiracy plot that makes no sense? Check. Screaming fit at the one liberal on the show who's trying to maintain the rule of law? Check. Female President breaking down in tears in the oval office? Check. New homosexual antagonist played by an actor notorious for playing weak willed pussies? Check.
Ridiculous bullshit. -
that group. Vaporized in a nuke and no one sheds a tear!
-
The conservatives took over the writing team years ago.
But ignoring that fact, the plot is a conservative plot against the White House, not a liberal plot. It's freaking private military organizations. How many liberals (besides George Soros) do you know that run private military organizations? -
The first daughter CAN NOT TALK TO AGENT PIERCE ABOUT THIS!!!! This is stupid. She just committed an act of treason against her own country. Dumbass. Then she called the other dude. What the hell???
-
Not only would that ruin any faith I have in the show, if for no other reason than the fact that in this episode alone he shot two FBI agents point blank. I hope he's just a super fucked up sicko and wants to kill as many people as possible. Best villain ever.
-
and I hate the first daughter. What a worthless, obvious plot device of a character. Every scene she is in just makes me fucking pissed off. And she really isn't that hot. Or purdy.
-
Truly craptastic. I found myself bored, which is a cardinal sin for this show. And Jack's weird meltdown at the end was not dramatic, it was silly. I was completely not into anything that they did tonight.
-
Omg... Ratboy FTW!!!!!!!!
-
For all you Krycek Junkies...
-
when we have to sit through your liberal tripe that is force fed to us by Hollywood every year.
And by the way, you apparently weren't the strongest swimmer in your daddy's little sack, for this show has been written by conservatives since it's inception...
IT'S CREATOR IS A REPUBLICAN, YOU MORON -
SMALLVILLE, AND SUPERNATURAL ARE ALSO GREAT BUT 24 KICKS ALL THE ASS IN THE WORLD.
-
What the heck... so I sign into AICN a few days ago just fine... ask if Gillian Anderson is going to be in Dr. Who. Next thing I know... BAM, I'm banned. What gives, I haven't posted anything but praise for Christian Bale.
-
he fucking SMOTHERED Larry Moss.
now, he may still be in some sort of deep cover to go after these dudes, or have some sort of selfish agenda, but Tony has surely lost his soul in pursuit of his objectives. there is no coming back from this one. -

by throwmetheidol

-
...don't make sense when you trace the events of the day, BUT I'm starting to enjoy him as a villain, and I didn't expect that.
-
Maybe it's dumb to bring this up, since 24 is pretty much a political show, but do we have to drag politics into the discussion of the show? I mean... It's bad enough we have reporters on TV calling the president a fascist and people like Glen Beck have become the voice of "reason" in this country (Yes, I'm a liberal, sue me), but if I can watch the show and not wonder which political party the writers belong to, why is it so fucking hard for y'all to do it? I mean, seriously... It's like claiming that "Bambi" wasn't a movie about a motherless deer finding friends in the world, and was in fact a liberal piece of anti-logging company propaganda. Oh, and It's A Wonderful Life is a piece of anti-capitalism smut, not just a feel-good movie we watch every Christmas.
-
My finger only grazed the enter key. Anyway, as for the whole Tony being a super-duper double-triple flip agent... I dunno. As much as I'd like to think that Tony is still on the side of good... there are just some acts you can't undo. And of course that act was not giving that back-talking fake lawyer chick a big ole slap across the face with his Almeidong.
-
Nope, Kiefer was the voice of Homer's drill sergeant. Willem Dafoe played the commandant in the Bart and Lisa military school episode.
-
I now really hope they do a real-time hallucination for Jack sometime in the last few hours. It would rock to have him hallucinate Nina discouraging him from continuing to live and to have George Mason encouraging him to keep fighting.Anyone else think it was pretty silly when the newscast said that this was an "unprecedented" day of terrorism? I realize the White House siege was a new thing, but it seems at least a couple of the other days in the series had bigger attacks in both quantity and "quality." Nuclear bomb in downtown LA? Detonating Air Force One? Etc.
-
...what show are you watching?
-
His bloodlust must be driving him nuts by now.
-
Giraffe-alo's head and shat down her neck. That would have been epic.
-
another wonderful hour of bauer power. Tony was brilliant this ep. the looks he gave Evil Curtis were fucking great! dude was like, where is my money, and tony gave him the "got damn NIGGER" look. rewatch that shit again, u will know what Im talking about. Then he has Baroness get in touch with Cobra Command and they are set up on some gay ass 1994 looking chat room, carbon copy plus or some shit LOL@ them all being a lottery ball number with muffled voices. how fuckin BIZARRE! blue tooth group was much iller. or are they a part of them? HMMMM
holy fuck hearing jack curse out that bitch in the name of david palmer was the most gratifying thing i have seen in my lifetime. I can see Palmer watching that shit from heaven with a smile on his face. i also got a chill when the old ass CTU software came online. that shit gotta be old as fuck now!! niggas fighting crime with windows 95. Cobra with shitty wack AOL Chatrooms and GIJOE with shitty wack cobweb servers. WTF @ this retro digital shit!! is this some circular time logic, we must go to the past to get to the future shit?
trick ass olivia. whiny BITCH! crybaby president! i hate the idea of a new sherry that is a whiny bitch who only got their because of her mother. at least sherry helped make david. olivia is out of control and everyone sees it, that little dude with the president thru her ass THE LOOK.
hahahah @ the new field agent dude, Agent Rogaine. this fuckers hair game is friggen Waaaaaaaack!!! nigga need that hairclub for men STAT!
oh i forgot to mention, since today was bauer day, i walked around doin the Tony whisper flow whereever I went, and it was all I could do to keep from cracking the fuck up. I went and got some chicken, and Im all whispering loudly "yea i want the rotisserie chicken and roast potatoes, quick!" and dude looks confused and said "WAT...can u repeat that?" i fucking grinned and broke character and stated that shit again in normal voice. omg i think all of you should try it at least once tomorrow.
i like how jack brought chloe down to FBI to tell her about tony face to face. that way he could tell if she was full of shit or not. the way janice is freaking out makes me think that yea, she is also a mole on some high level shit. bitch talking about the bill of rights and acting stuck up but naaah she might be on some OTHER shit. then again maybe she isnt.
LOL@ this new side plot to kill hodges while in FBI custody. like they gotta do it NOW, and the bitch cant wait til he is on his ranch. HAHA at the worst time possible.
ALSO, HODGES NEVER SAW ANYTHING FROM THE PRESIDENT! he talked to jack FREELY he didnt sign shit, said everything he knows. so....WHY are they giving him anything? unless he is gonna say MORE, which he cant, then i dont get that. plot hole IMO.
poor fucking aaron. in over his head. from one old daft bitch to a young one. but i guess he likes this shit. the fuck else would he be doing, jacking off to bangbus movies and watching baseball games. like i said before he needs his own series of old people books immediately. would be a big hit with senior citizens, and in the movies they can have harrison ford play him
we still dont know tony's end game here. he obviously isnt in Cobra, so is he trying to audition for them? maybe even let them attack in order to get in on their shit? why nnot just twist this bitch's arm and get all the info?
ahahah i KNEW they wanted all the cannisters and had to settle for this one tho. so far my tony theory is mostly on point. i still want to hope he is doing what he believes is the right thing with taking down the company at any cost, even if it means being a super bad guy to do it.
how many eps we got left? 3 or 4? -

And I think that was the price J. Garofola obtained in exchanged for her appearance in this show (an appearance that is money in the bank for 24 as it attracts the stunned and curious from all ends of the political spectrum). Tony as uber-Jack meaning that yes, he clearly will be revealed as having done these dastardly deeds in order to be trusted by the secret cabal. He may have been working with Bill on this. The importance of the 'greater good' ends over the dastardly means was obvious when he tried to dissuade Jack from saving that Guard a few eps back. He represents giving up one's soul to save the masses. Hodges shows Jack (well, the viewer) where Jack's morality can ultimately lead. The price J Garofala extracted was to recast the whole idea of Jack and CTU as that of Gandalf trying to use the One Ring for the greater good. Well, that and the 'Climate Change' ads that some of the cast now participates in .. All in all, it may be worth it for me, just to get to enjoy watching Jack scream in Garafola's face what many of us have dreamed of doing.

i have posted this april 14th but here:
http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0285331/board/flat/135541430?p=1
lets go over it logically.
first assumption. tony has always wanted the bio weapon. Either when he was with Bill, or before, his motives were to secure it at any cost. For what, we dont know. We have to assume he couldnt follow thru on this with his own crew, and decided to use Bill and Chloe for intel since they were good CTU peeps.
So Jack finds out his "cover" but not his real cover, which is why Tony ended up letting Emerson live, off camera, so Emerson could go find out more details.
So Emerson or Eddie Winslow contacts Tony to let him know where the shipment will be coming in, but he needs to be able to secure it himself, so he uses Jack to go after it.
when jack and tony were together, tony didnt know he would get caught. he would have been okay with letting the security guy die and then taking the truck with jack, and having to either kill jack or kick him out the truck when he got them.
but jack threw a wrinkle in those plans and tony had to rely on his starkwood mole, eddie winslow. so at some point he contacts him and tells him that its up to him. since now they cant get the entire truck, he wants winslow to just smuggle a cannister or two out.
ok, so Tony definitely wants starkwoods bio weapons destroyed at this point since he cant get all of them. he doesnt want someone else to do damage to the country, because he has his own motives. So he wants the FBI to destory them. at this point, we have to assume Eddie Winslow already has pulled out one of the cannisters on his own and is looking for a way to get off base with it, and that Tony knows this.
So the weapons are destroyed and Winslow is quietly sneaking out when he gets detected. Tony is supposed to be out of the loop, and even if he was, Winslow still escapes.
So Tony's motives of getting control of the cannisters himself still holds up throughout the show. if he didnt have all of them, he at least needed a sample. the ends justified the means
-
One hole in my argument is that I still am not sure why Tony found it necessary to kill Moses. Actually, it may make even less sense if he is Bad - as the motivation of the FBI to get him would jump off the charts.
-
if u know anything about "wat" then u know why larry moss's name is Agent Wat. dude says "wat". to EVERYTHING!!! remember the first episode or two,he says to Agent Freckles "what did Shecter say?" and she goes "not much before he was killed" dude says "wat.." in the funniest fucking way I have ever seen! go watch it again.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JlXJuW56BcI
funniest thing ever IMO -
not to mention Tony taking a shower next to a FUCKING CORPSE has got to be one of the most gully things ever. dude is using his loofa and mr bubble singing frank sinatra songs while evil curtis is rotting flesh a mere foot away, eyes wide the fuck open ready to zombie out. HILARIOUS SHIT!
-
And Tony knew it?
-
just GOT DAMMIT.
-
How are you able to write so much, well done anyway.
Herc, Tony is a bad guy now. Just admit it to yourself. There is no way that man is undercover, no way at all. How many FBI agents has he killed?
-
I'm sorry, but this week's episodes were fantastic.
-
He was the only agent left on the ground at Hodge's complex. Why would he destroy the missles and prevent a large attack just in order to steal some of the agent and carry out a smaller attack for the same group Hodges was involved in? And why does he need a patsy, the Arab guy,to take the blame for the next attack when the Feds already know Tony and his new Girlfriend are involved?
-
That said, as much as I find this show an improvement over other years of 24, have enjoyed the cohesive plot with Starkwood, Renee, Evil Tony, etc. it is still a heavily right wing j/o fantasy: Yelling at Janeane Garofalo, torture immediately excused, lots of strawman arguments, and now more homophobia, just like William Devane casually tortured his gay hippie (a twofer) son in Season 4.
-
read my psot about Tonys plotline. He had NO CHOICE but to destroy the missles because he actually doesnt WANT another attack. THEY do. he just wants THEM. they dont know about tony thwarting hodges plan. all they know is he got the cannister. he is going after them, and will make them pay with their lives for michelles death. he loved that WOMAN!
-
That dude is straight up Waldo Faldo.
-
this will end with tony pointing a gun at jack's head, and michelle coming out of the shadows to talk tony down.
book it -
This season was great until Jack opened the truck and got contam

At the end of that episode, the show really lost focus and momentum. That episode+ the previous 4 were incredible for suspense and action. Amongst the best run of episodes on 24 ever. The Tony heel turn ain't working for me at all(and not because I like him but because it makes zero sense)This stem-cell b.s is just laughable nonsense.
this season and maybe the show will never recover from the writers falling asleep on that whole mistake jack getting in the back of a truck with a poison gas great smart and then next ep saying no cure at all at least say there is a cure but it takes us 3 days to make you have 48 hours to live unless you find a cougar for its blood come up with something better than no cure -
Who's with me the so call group should be all top line castings even if it was for just 2-4 eps small guest roles. this crap of having no name fools being the scary people being behind the day pisses me off. come on bring in some big names for the Illuminati

Hate the false argument favoring right wing ideology
by billypilgrimisunstuck
Putting topics such as the constitution and civil liberties in such a radical and unorthodox construct makes the moral of their argument moot. It's a dead argument. Besides that, tonight's episode was ok.

Nothing about this season has or will make sense
by guy who got a headache and accidentally
Don't give me that "what do you expect it's a tv show" horseshit. Season 1 was practically on par with Sopranos, Deadwood and the Wire. Easy to forget now but it's true. Maybe CSI is more your speed but those shows never had to insult your intelligence to be entertaining. How many times are we going to hear "right now he's our only lead" or "you think it's over with me but it's not" etc. Christ, just how stupid are these writers. They literally cannot write anything else but the same shit over and over again. This used to be the show where anything could happen, no punches were pulled, but it's just a joke now. A literal honest to god parody of itself. As long as this show isn't exciting or unpredictable it's as good as dead, and it hasn't been either for a long while. They either need to give up the 24 hour gimmick or abandon this old ass fucking plot formula they've been using since the show started. They also need to stop making halfass attempts at "changing things up" which never amount to shit. Every fucking year they say, "oh this time it's more personal this season. We made it more personal because you can't just keep making the threats bigger." But damned if they sure don't keep trying, and the show plainly suffers for it every time.
-
shut the fuck up. Jack Bauer is back and just laid deep into garafalos fucking ass and all you can do is bitch and moan just like her. do you not fucking realize that DAVID FUCKING PALMER AUTHORIZED season 7, AND season 8? be happy for this shit you little sissy boy, cuz when 24 is gone u will be left with your The Hills and its spinoff The Ocean and The Cave and The Valley and all that fucking SHIT. u will be CRYINg for jack to come save your ass, to save u from teh terrorist zombie pain of horrible television but no, he will be GONE, dead because u DIDNT BELIEVE! every time u dont believe in jack bauer another FUCKED UP television reallity shot gets green lit. have a fuckin backbone u girly boy, i willc ontinue to SHIT ON YOUR SOUL until u realize the hadoken power of JACK H. BAUER THE FIRST AND ONLY, BLACKJACK OUT
-
Jack yelling at Godawfulhoe! It reminded me of "Who are you working for!" from season 1. Hard to believe she is still on this great show. Every time I look at her she looks so miserable for being on the show. I hope Chole beats her ass also as a mole or something for an excuse.
-
Maybe. Just maybe!
My resistance to Tony being legitimately 'evil', is that I have always loved his character, and if he does turn out to be evil then his character is doomed to be jack-slapped. Oh hum.
-
Its official me thinks.
-
Fucking die imposter cunts.
-
You forget Silver Spoons kid was injured enough that he had to retire, so they don't all die
-
Bad dudes like Tony get the ladies. And it looks like she's a player, too ("Do it for me").
-
If they keep up his badassery, I don't give a crap if he stays evil, just as long as he stays alive.
I don't see Moss as being evil. He was too stupid to be evil. Bitch didn't even get a silent clock. -
When Jack ripped Jenene Garafalo a new asshole. I came at that moment and felt Jack was the luckiest human on earth. Freckles on one side of him, ripping Jenene on the other. What a lucky guy.
-
She's about the most liberal person in HW. Is she so desparate for money thta she needs to be a cathartic whipping boy on this show for all the bass ackward conservatives that watch 24? Come on Janine.
-
did anyone watch Jericho on here? anybody else see the similarities to the 2 season Jericho plot arc and this season of 24?
Jericho had StarWood
24 has Starkwood
Jericho had Black Jack Bauer
24 has Jack Bauer
Jericho had Sprague Graydon
24 has Sprague Graydon
Both plots were about non-government armies flexing their muscle to take things over...there's more similarities there...only thing that Jericho was missing is the beautifulness known as Rack Bauer. -

So... the secret puppetmasters wanted to kill Hodges because he was a loose cannon and was going to use a massive attack with the pathogen to destabilize the government. Tony, despite believing that such an attack should take place now (not in 6 months) while one's opponent is down, destroys all the pathogen except for 1 canister. So now the puppetmasters all switch to Tony's way of thinking and decide on an immediate
attack but now with 1 canister instead of 28. That is, they decide Hodges had the right idea after a 5 minute phone conversation but now they've lost most of the pathogen along with a way of delivering it.
Do I have that right? -
Oh yeah I forgot. That's where Specter got the idea. Haven't seen you in a while. How's life?
-
They didn't want Hodges to die until/if he failed. If Hodges does the attack successfully, the cabal would've worked with it. Tony was present as a backup plan in case Hodges failed, to make sure at least one canister was recovered.
-
There is something to keep in mind when considering whether or not Tony is a villain...
The 24 writers spent a long time this season building up the idea that some things are necessary for the greater good (torture). Things change so quickly in 24 that it's hard to even recall how much time was spent on this, but it was a HUGE theme early in the season.
After a long writer's strike, it is very possible that the 24 writers re-evaluated the first half of the season and decided to use this theme to make Tony the biggest villain/hero of all. Tony could truly be doing 'whatever is necessary'.
If this does turn out to be the case, then I think that this could be one of the best 24 seasons that we've ever seen. A conclusion based on Tony being good would fit perfectly.
Think about it: The season starts with Jack being questioned by the senate about the awful things that he has had to do to protect his country. What better way to end it than with the Tony plot.
If Tony really is just another bad guy with a bio-weapon then it really seems like a wasted opportunity and weak writing, which I wouldn't put past the 24 writers... We'll have to see.
-
They said the plan was for Starkwood to deliver all the canisters for a plan 6 months out. So Tony did NOT have a plan from the beginning to do all this stuff to get one canister. He must be in play just to react to and work whatever problems come up. When JonASS Hodges went for missile launches, Tony HAD to stop that, and somehow save some bioagent for the original plan. His ability to do all this is already implausible in the extreme, but for it to have been his precise plan from the get-go is simply not possible. There is still a remote chance that Tony is trying to get to the Anonymous Group, still a "good guy" but if so, he has exceeded all of Jack's ruthless acts combined. Also, not plausible.
-
should have said: Tony can't have a plan, he must be in play to fight firesAMENDED!
-
and then I would have been forced to Amend the Amendment...Whew, dodged a bullet there!
-
I'm trying to sort the events of the day in my head in a logical fashion. I really hope TPTB give us an overall explanation regarding what was and was not supposed to happen.
Ok... The Group plans to destabilize the country by triggering attacks all across the U.S. and blaming them on Middle Eastern terrorists. The country would fall into chaos, and they would step in to clean up the mess.
In order to achieve this goal, they align themselves w/ the villainous Juma regime in Africa. They offer Juma intelligence and man power in exchange for using Sangala as a testing ground for this bio-weapon. It's a false alliance, in the sense that The Group consider themselves patriots, and they actually don't want Juma in power. They strategically place Tony into the operation so that they can manipulate and sabotage Dubaku and Juma's plans. Tony then recruits Blll and Chloe to help him w/ this sabotage, while leaving them in the dark about the overall plan. The Group doesn't want Juma's attacks to succeed because they can't contain the fallout, and having Juma in power is bad for the U.S. Like I said, they're patriots.
So... they basically stroke Juma's ego until the shipment of bio-weapons arrives. In their own twisted way, they actually helped bring about the fall of the Juma regime.
That's when the plan goes haywire thanks to Jonas Hodges. Hodges acquires the bio-weapon for himself, and he catches The Group off guard by going rogue and blackmailing the government with it. This flies in the face of The Group's plan because any alliance the U.S. makes w/ Starkwood would be tenuous at best. They want a seat at the table, but they want it to look legitimate. Hodges' deal would require them to constantly be blackmailing the U.S. They would never gain the trust of the American people. So... then Tony, with the help of the FBI, infiltrates Starkwood and reacquires the bio-weapon for The Group. -
lol... Jack suggests being active and not passive on defending civilians and people start actually whining about political parties. And Garaffahoe sucks, she's so liberal she makes Obama look like Chuck Norris.
-
She didn't run in a tight top ... wasted episode
-
Shooting dead two FBI agents point-blank is not "good." Jack breaks the rules, but he has always tried to protect innocents and bystanders when it does not directly interfere with his mission. Maybe it will be revealed that Tony is operating under some sort of "greater good" worldview just like Hodges was and just like I assume this new evil consortium imagines it does. But is that motive really that much of a revelation? Do you consider Hodges or that consortium "good guys?" C'mon - that's ridiculous! If they're going to make Tony evil, it's much more narratively satisfying (to me, at least) to make this more about Michelle and not turning Tony into some sort of "uber-Jack." It has a nice symmetry with Jack's loss of Teri, and it is consistent with Tony's arc in seasons three and four.
-
Tony's motive could be to bring this new evil consortium down, and in the world of 24 his actions may be justified.
The point that I was trying to make is that it would fit the overlying theme of this season very well. They spent a lot of time this season having Jack justify his actions and his methods of getting the job done. Many of the people who criticized Jack were put into situations this season whereby they too had to consider his methods as a necessary evil (Renee torturing people in the hospital, the president having mixed emotions about torture). Maybe the 24 writers want to push those ideas as far as they can be pushed with the Tony storyline. Maybe not... -
When Jack absolutely has to commandeer a car, he does it by viciously pointing a gun at the occupant, or just stealing an empty one. Tony just killed the agents. This is significantly different.
And the treatment of Hodges as a loose cannon who disrupted the group's plan makes Tony's actions at Starkwood more believable. However, he would have just killed people in his way there too. It's a little sloppy. -
If Tony kills Jack, no one ever finds out the bioweapons have come into the US (or if they do find out, they won't know the destination). Even if Hodges then proceeds with his threat, Tony could acquire one or more of the canisters via the exact same method. It doesn't make sense.
-
Hmm... not sure. That could be a big plothole. Maybe Tony wanted to see how things played out, and if he needed to kill Jack, he would have. Killing Jack may have been a last resort, though, considering how much Jack and Tony have been through together. Even if Tony is bad to the bone, there's still gotta be some sort of residual feelings there. Also, Jack didn't exactly do what Tony expected him to: he saved the Port Authority cop and forced them into a huge firefight. That couldn't have been part of Tony's plan. Eh...I'll wait until the end of the season to judge Tony's previous actions, 'cause I still don't think we have all of the information. If by episode 24, we're still asking these questions, then that's a major FAIL on the show's part.
-

My opinion is that Tony's plot line twists for twist's sake
by chromedome
Tony's bad, no he's good, no he's bad again....I hope to be surprised, but so far this seems to be a stupid turn and a bad way to finish what had been a good storyline this season.
-
Hodges and Dubaku were blowing shit up too early for The Group's liking. Obviously, Hodges didn't know that Tony was involved with them (what with the computer-only meetings and stuff). So The Group sends in Tony to stop the mess, work with Jack/the FBI/ Chole & Bill to stop Hodges' attacks which weren't sanctioned by the group (they wanted to do it 6 months later on multiple cities and targets). Tony was supposed to get a sample of the nerve gas to start again, this time without Hodges. So his motivations make sense that way. Tony's evil, and it's a more dramatic payoff that way.
-
Well, everything in 24 twists for twist's sake. But... I really do believe they planned on making Tony bad all along. Whether the storyline makes any sense... well that's something the 24 writers have always struggled with. For all those season 1 lovers, go back and map out the trajectory of that season. It's even more convoluted and ridiculous than this one.
-
THERE'S NO TIME!!!! GIVE ME THE NAME!!!! WHERE IS THE BOMB?!?!? WHO SENT YOU?!?!?! .... Shitfaced after 5 minutes. By the way, Season 5 is the best storyline that 24 has ever, or will ever, come up with. They shoulda quit on top.
-
Michelle was his life. After Robocop saved Tonys life, Tony immediately starting thinking about how to get at who was ultimately responsible for her death. Robocop? nah, too small. Logan? President of the US, but still too small. He knew there was some other shit at work. So he went to work with Emerson for while as a bad guy henchman. He was able to hear about shit going down, staying close to all of it. He eventually contacted Bill and Chloe to form the Cubscout team, because he wouldnt be able to do it alone. He fed them the story about it JUST being about saving the america people, when in reality Tony wants to fuck them up for much more personal reasons. So when he gets found out by GI JOE, he has to side with them as well to make the mission go down smooth. Still, he knows that if he can pull off this bioweapon shit he will be THAT much closer to the people in charge, which is all he wants. He doesnt want to kill innocent people, if u see he never kills an innocent himself, only terrorists or government workers. He even sabotaged Hodges plan because he didnt want millions of americans dead. he just wants the Lotto Ball Group, so he can take them down one by one. He is Ultra Personal Revenge Jack, while Hodges is Ultra Patriotic Jack. they are both showing him how far he could go, and he sees that he doesnt want to be anything like them. As for the Lotto Ball Group, they used Count Dubaku's sangala spot for a training group in exchange for weapons money etc etc. So the Dark Sith Lord was like fuck that, I got a Deathstar in exchange, via the CIP device, and Im gonna use that shit like crazy. that was only suppposed to be a diversion really, a temporary way to give Darth Dubaku a way to excert some wack control on "Madame" President while the LBG was sneaking out the shipment of bioweapons. shit went fucked up when hodges made his power play, tony had to adjust, called in his inside man Evil Curtis to secure a cannister for him, and here we are. Tony wants to finish this now, and get into the overall Cobra system's good graces so he can take down the Lotto ball fuckers himself. he has even been fucking the baroness on the side, giving her that CTU trained dick so she is all emotionally and listens to everythng he says. the "twist" makes sense, because this is HIS revenge story. he cant tell jack because he knows jack wont go as far as he is willing to go, and if he told jack and he wasnt down, he knows he would have had to killed him. cant tell FBI cuz fuck they are probably compromised too. he is playing both sides of the coin as a go getter for HIMSELF. Tony Cubby Almeida may be the countrys biggest captain of his dead ass wife, but he is still ILL AS FUCK! while tony does for self, jack does for his country. main difference. twist makes sense.
-
When I was watching that conference call of the big-bads, there was one point where I thought I heard Palmers voice. Then later in the episode, Jack makes a verbal call back to Palmer.
Anyone know if they're planning another zombie back-the-dead comeback? -
IT fuckheads monitor internet usage now.
-
palmer is on another show on CBS called The Unit. it might get canceled, but still Palmer is DEAD. dead dead dead dead.
-
and i bet the tragedy of the season becomes Jack killing Tony only to find out Tony pushed the whole thing so that the secret organization couldn't go into hiding for another 6 months. But it doesn't matter, the best moment of the season already happened when Jack told that ugly liberal cunt bag to shut the fuck up or hit the road. It made having that bitch on the show this season worth it.
-
...of his degrading condition
-
David Palmer, yes. Wayne Palmer though...last we saw he was hemorraging and going into a coma...did they ever resolve that?

And as much as I'd love Tony to still be playing both sides...
by executor
...as a previous poster theorized (that he's just doing it take down the conference call group)...it just doesn't make sense. If he WERE doing that, he would let Jack in on it. Why keep it to himself?Sadly, I think we have Evil Tony.
-
Okay. Just kidding. I was going to say something funny, but I forgot.
-
thats them using that voice changing software, it makes it deeper. I know exactly who u guys are thinking too, the last guy who says "no no i dont see it that way" and yea it DOES sound exactly like palmer, thats some funny ass shit. but nah, dude is dead as fuck. they try and bring him back next week and i QUIT THIS SHOW
yea yea whatever im lying i would rationalize the FUCk out of his living but nah he is six feet deeper than a motherfucka -
I'm not giving the writers the benefit of the doubt.
Palmer COULD come back. Granted, he probably won't. But he COULD. And if he does, a few people here called it first. :) -
He can't let Jack get involved because what he is going to do will require the deaths of a lot of innocent people. A lot more than usual, including FBI. That is what needs to happen if Tony is ever going to find out who the bad guys are. Jack would never go for that.
-
...then - I'm sorry - it's simply idiotic. There must be a myriad of ways to track down the identities of the members of an evil consortium without actually resorting to killing thousands of innocent Americans, especially if they are going to lie low and plan to resurface in six months. Why stoke the fire? Ever heard of good old-fashioned detective work? Think Chloe might be able to find a way to trace them through that anonymous conference? Or just torture the woman who gave Hodges the pill; she obviously knows at least one member of the group personally. I understand the narrative significance of making Tony go further than Jack ever would for the "greater good," but if Tony is not evil, 24 has reached new cougar-esque heights of stupidity.
-
it was a mistake to have dubaku still with the CIP device to crash the two planes, he didnt let hodges launch the missles, and he wont really let them attack with the lone capsule this season. he is pushing that agenda to get in touch with them. at least think and read what ive already said 100 times before u type about stuff being idiotic. it makes perfect sense.
-
is actually Sylar - but he does not know that himself, since his mind-wipe and reboot with Tony's memories. I think that the original Tony would not have gone to these immoral means to achieve his moral end - but the residual Sylar still has influence. Not enough influence to alter his heroic goals, but enough to dull his day-to-day moral judgement.
-
He doesn't kill civilians but he kills a lot of fbi agents and almost Jack too. He is evil..
-
he kills FBI agents. they are a part of the system that is the problem. anyone connected with it goes down. Jack was ready to kill chase in season 3, he created a prison break which resulted in deaths, he killed chappelle, he killed curtis, anyone who was in his way, it was just presented in a sympathetic way. tony is doin the same on a larger scale, whats the difference? 1 life or 20 or 200 is nothing in comparison to saving a country. thats at least the argument. Tony believes what he is doing is the right thing.
