STAR TREK Clips Now Decloaking Online!!
Merrick here...
Clips from Abrams' STAR TREK is now appearing on the Net. Two appeared yesterday I believe. One is fresh.
From Omelete - Spock and Kirk face off on the Enterprise bridge; Scotty tries to stay out of it...
A rather swaggering/probably drunk Jim Kirk -vs- Uhura and a posse from Starfleet... (via MTV)...
A third clilp, featuring Kirk meeting a belligerent Leonard McCoy on a departing Starfleet shuttle, can be found HERE.

-
I like the part where Uhura gets hit with all the purple water, and then says, "This video is not available in your area." Can't wait! Big fan!
-
Figure it out, mothervulcan...
-
I could see the corrections coming.
-
Not AIN'T IT STAR TREK NEWS. God damn you guys must be ricj from the money the studio paid you to give great reviews
-
Is paramount hiding the score so they can replace it?
-
The Spock vs. Kirk confrontation is cool except for the "I'm not telling" line. Everyone I know stopped saying that after finishing elementary school.
-
Have you got warp drive on your keyboards?
-
In the 'most simultaneous AICN articles' category
-
...but I can't? The clips of the scenes that I have seen, including dialogue, are handsomely written, acted, and directed...and the cinematography is without flaw.
-
I guess when you have $150 million to play with you apply it to just aboot any and everything.
-
Oh no media messiah you can't slag something for being too beneath you...
what. a fucking. shame. -
www.eyeborgs.com - if you're in NC, you should really check this out
-
I'm sorry, but every shot from this film looks like it was shot with a telephoto lens aboard a moving bus. I hope the theaters plan on handing out barf bags at the screenings. I can't even watch the clips without wanting to retch.
-
What's up with the lens flares? Blue ones in another clip I saw online. Fringe has a lot of similar flares at weird moments. What's up?
-
. . . wrapped up in darkness and silence."
Don't know why, but that one made me laugh out loud. -
These clips don't do much to abate my fears. I know all the reviews pouring in are glowing but, this just looks wrong to me. What's with all the light flares on the bridge of the enterprise?? It all just looks overly slick and pretty just for the sake of doing that. I'm still going to check it out, there's no way I'm not, but I'm reserving final judgement till I see the whole thing.
-
I can Shatner saying all those things.
-
My confidence in this film is increasing.
-
But damn, Karl Urban looks freaking awesome!
-
...but it sure smells good!
-
And I don't like the "written for CW" dialog.
NOT Star Trek. -
And thank fuck for that! I would have hated it if it had just been pandering to fanboys or being too self-aware. This feels like a proper modern movie that happens to be Star Trek. We're in for a fucking treat.
-
Looks like he did his homework.
-
You are slowwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww

Why are you motherfuckers trying to spoil this movie?
by kentucky colonel
I mean really?
I've been waiting for this since FIRST CONTACT, and I'll be damned if I want to see ONE SECOND of this before I slip into the UPTOWN theater here in DC for the opening day matinee.
I know, I know..."spoiling" is what this site is all about. Well, not for me, not today. NAH NAH NAH I DON'T HEAR YOU! -
not most sound. Jesus, how many tracks did they take up on the goddamn door opening and closing?! There. That's my one nitpick. Can't wait for the rest of this craziness!
-
going in as cold as I can on this one
-
Vulcans aren't supposed to have feelings, so what gives?!
-
Oh sorry - I was watching the whole film two days ago and missed the clips
-
Don't you know your Trek history?
-
Ruins it for me..
-
Kirk screwing Uhura before they kiss for the first time...
Apparently they never watched the original series either.. -
I bet NewKirk listens to the 23rd Century equivalent of Fall Out Boy and is seriously thinking of getting his dick pierced.
-
Sayer7685 not looks like a whiny little bitch. Actually, he already...oh, you get the point!
-
This movie looks freaking great. I don't care what anyone says.
-
I have to ask because one douchebag remark deserves another. Clearly you're getting money to cover this as well as Watchmen which explains having far too many threads about the same movie on your site.
-
Apr 08, 2009 11:38:43 PM CDT
FookU, there are a lot of threads 'cos this movie...
by cameron1975willi
...is a big deal. Alot of reviews on other sites are saying J.J. hit it out of the park.
-
Apr 08, 2009 11:41:36 PM CDT
..and I for one apprciate the coverage this site brings to films
by cameron1975willi
...stuff I love. Maybe film's not for you haters out there, maybe you outta find a site you do enjoy, like Perez Hilton.com
-
Dude, you have to elongate the vowel, not the consonant. "wwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww" doesn't make sense, but "ooooooooooooo" ending with ONE 'w' does. You're welcome.
-
I was hated the idea and cast of this film at first. Now I have to say it looks pretty good so far.
-
This is looking fantastic.
-
JJ is a solid film maker, I knew when i heard he was on board that trek would be in good hands and that he would update it and breath some much needed life into the franchise. Anyone complaining and keep harking back to the past probably was never going to accept it anyway. So to hell with them. it looks good to me from what ive seen so far.
-
EVERY PERSON that has seen this movie has given it glowing reviews, save for the precious few who say "Well, it was ok." Yet everyone is saying "Oh, it must be because they're getting paid for it!"
You lose, haters. Star Trek (And your favorite Transformers along with it) will be the kings of this summer and many summers to come. Don't worry, there's a bunch of other stuff coming out that you can cuddle up to and push unsuccessfully. -
or are we still pretending like you can't download a movie from the internet before it hits the theaters?
-
Should I wear protective lenses in the theater?
-
sooooo bad in that first clip. It's an alternate timeline, right, so why not? One of them should be gay. I mean it. Someone should be gay. Sulu! Perfect. I hope that Sulu is gay in the AbraTrek Universe.
-
Why does Abrams have a hard-on for handheld camera work? Jeez. Come one, let's have ONE shot that doesn't look like a shaky TV show.
Urban looks fantastic! -
Surprised no one else is coining the term.
-
SPOILERS- So, if destroying the Kelvin set an alternate timeline in place, they could have done a coda scene where Shatner's Kirk is having a bourbon with alternate Nimoy Spock in a future 45 years after STAR TREK. You could show that this time Kirk doesn't die a miserable death on Veridian III, but instead is chillin with his best pal in the whole wide world, still captaining the Enterprise and all that jazz. It could have been a very simple tag-on scene. Sure, Shatner would have demanded more, but fucking-a, you agreed to do GENERATIONS and this is the best we can offer ya, Bill.
-
it's a huge scam. Shatner's in it. Every fucking geek that saw it is lying to keep the secret because Spock asked them to. Or it was cut only for this screening. William Shatner is in the new Star Trek movie, or it's major bullshit.
-
Abrams loves the "Holy Shit!" factor. Leak the movie early without the Shat, and then in May- BAM! And all you lucky fuckers that saw it in Austin will have to spend money to see it again.
-
Does Spock getting angry scare you or something?
Also, Kirk and Uhura don't "screw" in the film. There is no sexual contact between the two, that is your own assumption! -
I'm sick of seeing his overweight butt and ego stuffed into a bodysuit 5 sizes too small and topped with the worst hairpiece this side of Romulus. Leave Trek to the ACTORS! You might as well beg to see Adam West pop up in the next Batman film as "Elderly Bruce Wayne."Actually... THAT would be cool. Shatner coming back as Kirk would NOT! >:P
-
with your argument: William Shatner IS Kirk. Adam West's just ONE of the many actors to play Batman, and none of them are as identifiably and intrinsically Batman as Shatner is Kirk. As for his ego, motherfucker deserves to have the ego he's got.
-
The complainst about continuity are pointless. This isn't the past of the star trek we know. This is an alternative timeline and the most brilliant idea for a reboot I've seen in a while.
-
Are you a boborci sockpuppet? Weird -- or telling -- that you brought up Transformers along with Trek. Oh, and I've no doubt Transformers ii will do well. It will still be garbage like many other number one films this year and last.
-
Kirk and Shatner are the same dude. Go watch "Balance of Terror." That's fucking GRAVITAS right there!
-
and will probably have a Firefly/BSG-esque zoom/chase-shot as well...The NYPD Blue shaky cam is annoying...Pegg is great per usual, but he's gaping like a catfish in that scene...Quinto's voice sounds so wimpy compared to Nimoy -- he looks the part, but Nimoy as Spock is such an icon that this will be the one character that I simply can't buy.
-
He's just an "David Hasselhoff"-quality actor who played the character and had the good fortune to milk it for 35 years. Kirk, like Batman, will live on long after Shatner's toupee is hanging in some nerd's collection and deserves better representation than an B-list quality actor trying to relive his glory years and further stroke his fragile ego.Shatner and you both need to move on. I know I HAPPILY will.
-
similar to Picard's flashback to his youth that Q made him relive.
-
You're overstating your case. You can just simply say "Kirk is a character that will endure multiple actors now that Pine has taken the first step." But saying that Shat ain't Kirk is kind of silly. The guy made that character in his own image. See, B-list quality actors, as you call them, can't act that well, so he basically played himself. See how we can do this all night long? Give the Shat a break, man. He's an asshole, agreed! But so is Jim Kirk, thanks to Bill.
-
and that's cool. You just keep on being wrong. It's not the end of the world.
-
I'm not sure I'm buying all this TWITTER crap about this movie being something special. I hope I'm wrong.
-
MTV won't let me watch this clip from the UK for some reason "Nooooo, must not let the British seeeeee this" but they don't have any problem wasting my fucking time with a Monsters Vs Aliens trailer before they inform me of this, cunts.
-
I have no idea if it's good or bad. I'm just sick of seeing all of these threads. It's called overkill. You should look it up. What is perezhilton.com? Is that some site you gays go to?
-
"...Do you have an appointment?"
Am I the only one who noticed the bridge now looks like a woman's boutique at the mall? I half-expected Kirk to ask for a shampoo and a cut for Scotty... -
That is funny.
Okay--they dialogue is silly, but fun. The acting is okay. Karl Urban is kind of like Bones. Chris Pine just is not working for me as Kirk. Sorry--he is a kid, and he acts like it. He'll act like a kid when he is 40.
Can someone tell me why the bridge is a freaking skinny oval now when the outside is designed to be circular? Is it designed to have no real interior space and that is why all the lights are SHINING RIGHT IN THE GODDAMMNED CAMERA ALL THE TIME? There is so much clutter and crap in this bridge, no one can move around.
Between the footage I am seeing and all the crap I am learning about this film plot-wise in the last 36 hours--I simply give up.
This film is not meant for me.
Spock makes out with Uhura? WTF? -
using the word "menu" in The Two Towers. Completely stupid and lazy writing. It is a term from another time period (in the case of Menu 1750s) and post-dates (or Star Trek's case, pre-dates) the film's era, and it never ceases to rip me out of the story. I cringe every time someone yells "fire!" when telling people to loose arrows from bows. What the hell does fire have to do with it? LOTR was also very guilty of this.
-
"Clips from Abrams' STAR TREK is now appearing on the Net."
Me am born in the woods. -
I brought up transformers because it's the same thing, haters slamming something for idiotic reasons, and summarily ignored by anyone with a brain. It's hilarious in this case, people that haven't seen the movie saying how bad it looks, while everyone that has seen it is raving. Same thing with transformers. Internet haters say how horrible it is . Meanwhile it makes 300 plus million AND is the highest selling DVD of the year. Man, I hope this is as bad as that!
-
Transformers was ignored by anyone with a brain.
-
Kirk is Shatner. Shatner is Kirk.
-
I watched Generations last night and technically Kirk is still in the Nexus and could be brought back at anytime. They should make it so he has to return to the Nexus after a time, because out of it he ages rapidly or something (Faustian law). Sure, in real life Shater has aged a little bit(apparently no one ages in the Nexus), but not enough that it would be noticeable. I'd like to see Shatner hit the gym and loose a few pounds so he looks trim. Besides, Shatner's gotten better with age and brings so much heart to any role and has teriffic presence. Just as Nimoy brings gravitas to this new film. It's not gonna be easy to get Prime Kirk back from the Nexus without it being silly, but the new writers should be able to do something cool with it. That's their job!
-
No question he has the spirit of Kirk and I can see him maturing into the role in later films. Great pick on JJ's part. I am in.
-
nuff said
-
So you're happy for me to watch your fucking advert before the clip, but then you flash up a message saying I'm not allowed to view the clip in the UK. Fuck you. I hope you're all raped to death by angry wolves.
-
i hope he gets more respect after this...
-
SPOILERS... if they've created a new alternate reality in this Trek movie, it could be one in which Generations never happened and Old Kirk didn't die. Thus making it easy to bring back the Shat.
-
Tedious bar "chat up" scene leading into a fight scene is all. These are like birthing scenes, pillow-talk scenes and child in peril scenes...seen one, seen 'em all, and only a fucking hack or a geek with hack-dick on his breath thinks it qualifies as writing.
-
Can't be viewed outside US for copyright reasons my ARSE!
-
yeah he is delightfully curmudgeonous as McCoy. Finally some good material for this guy Urban to work with.
-
Klingon bastard you killed my son!!!!! Klingon bastard ....
-
I'd be more sold on his Scottish accent if he were actually using one. Even James Doohan gave it a go! Harry (or anyone else who's seen the film), please tell me he's better than this scene suggests...
-
Dark Knight was amazing mainly cuz of Ledger. Ledger shined so bright he over shadowed less but still great and unsung performances. No one more than Aaron Eckhart's Dent. If you watch that pic over you see that Dent is the star. Bats and Joker revolve around him. Eckhart to me nearly steals the picture.
Now with Trek, people are gonna be focusing on Pine/Kirk and Quinto/Spock and probably miss how perfect and great Urban/McCoy is. That intro scene showed me that McCoy is gonna chew up ever scene in this movie and spit it out...much like DeForest Kelly did. -
It just doesn't have Nimoy's gravitas. That said, I'll probably get used to it 20 minutes into the film.
-
This is the second time I've seen someone on a website like this accuse the site of selling out or being bought by the company. Have you noticed what this site is all about?? It's for a bunch of geeky people to talk about movies, mostly sci-fi/fantasy flicks. They're not gonna post all the latest news and developments of a STAR TREK MOVIE?
-
We've heard Pegg say maybe five words in all the clips, and he barely mumbles a single word here. You can't really critique his accent based on that.
-
I think I remember him saying his wife is Scottish, so his accent should be spot on. He actually says just enough in this clip for me to be a bit worried. Thing is Bizarro, I sure as shit don't want to see a (sort of) national treasure anglicised. More importantly, I certainly don't want to see Scotty portrayed as the comedic runt of the litter, as he seems in this clip. Pretty much exactly Pegg's role in MI:3.
-
I can totally hear that too - I wonder if that is slightly intentional though...maybe make it bridge the gap?
-
I'm getting a bit intrigued. This seems to hold the vibe of TOS. huh.
-
Seriously, out of all of the new actors, he's the one that nails his character the best.Look at the way his eyes "bug" out like De Kelly's always did when expressing emotion. Urban really gets it. He IS McCoy.I agree that while Pine looks very good as Kirk and Quinto looks great as Spock, Urban is the one to really nail his character down.Also... couldn't Quinto have TRIED to lower his voice maybe half an octave? Nimoy speaks in a low baritone or bass, very deep, rich voice. Quinto speaks in a high tenor, a little higher, brassier sound to his voice. It just doesn't match up. He really should have tried to lower his speaking voice down a bit to give him that Spock gravitas, which I see in his look, but I'm not hearing in his voice.
-
that's a little too heavy on the anamorphic lens flares there. Other than that, the flick looks hot!
-
I keep hearing how Pine "doesn't resemble" Shatner in the least. I get the opposite - I think the resmblence is pretty strong.
-
I think the only man on set was Bruce Greenwood.
-
I'll bet he's one a' them theater talkers / texters. Fuckin' ass.
-
They were really distracting.
-
Love Scotty's dialogue, LOL!
-
Holy shit! I could so see young Shatner in those scenes!!! May 8 cannot come soon enough!!!!!!!
-
and nerve-pinch Scotty?
-
He just doesn't have the gravitas that Nemoy has. And that is the essence of what makes his Spock so awesome. Quinto just seems like a bitch with a stick up his ass.
-
This is already not looking good.
-
Absolutely fucking-tastic AMAZING! Can't wait to see this.
-
Welcome to the future where matte boxes on cameras don't work. In the late 90's world of visual effects, lens flares were deliberately put on to hide bad CG or composites. Were they put there throughout to be consistent with the CG shots which use a festival of lens flares to "make it real"? Very, very distracting, annoying, and old school cheese.
-
I like almost everything else I'm seeing, but wtf - they need to dial that shit back pronto before they relase this.
-
They don't look or act like the original characters? What the fuck is going on? I was looking forward to the movie but..this isn't Star Trek.
?? -
Looks like pure unadulterated liquid feces. Are you fucking kidding me with that garbage? get it the fuck off this page.
-
Fuck Me, Karl Urban is incredible!!
SPEGG looks great too, has that same bemusement about it all that the original Scotty had ! -
Will be all we want it to be, and more, this is the first time in I cannot remember how long that I have been this psyched for a movie, and it is the first time in over ten years or more that I have been excited about anything Trek.
-
Am I just retarded? I'm not seeing the Yahoo clip with McCoy... I just get the trailers listed on the page.
-
I always liked Shatner a lot, and I am liking Pine too. Everyone else was good, and Karl Urban seemed perfect to me. Not perfect in terms of a mimicry, but perfect in terms of a re-interpretation with the right spirit. Rock on.
-
And I still haven't come across a person on the streets who cares about this STAR TREK movie. Did this site learn nothing from WATCHMEN?
-
EVERYWHERE!!!!
-
It's hilarious how many people on this TB use that word. It's like the word of the day or something. Well, Pine is pretty lame looking/acting, and Quinto= meh...but Urban is stealing in this, he seems excellent, reminds me of kin to Jack Nicholson or somethin'-gravitas long and prosper
-
when I was a little lad i remember buying a book about a month or so before the film.a crappy novelisation because we couldn't wait to see the film now i see the novelisation of this is out on 12th may after the 8th opening.who the fuck would buy the book after seeing the film when you can get a pirate dvd in a pub the day after opening.Think again fuckers!
-
We have a consensus here.
-
Oh man, I always hated him and thought he was the one weak link in an otherwise great cast, but MAN, after that "bridge/Scotty" clip, I'm even more disgusted than I was before (which was a lot). He is shockingly, horribly, ridiculously talentless, on top of being physically repugnant. Please, someone, get him out of there... I'll wait another 6 months if you'll just reshoot...
-
Fire: to hurl; throw: to fire a stone through a window. The term has been around long before firearms were invented you tool.
Try to keep your cringing under control, you cock. -
You know how I know you're gay?
-
Let the haters hate, this is going rule! I'll see it multiple times, I already know.
-
are caused by the lasers from bar-code scanners. I am outed.
-
I have a bad feeling about this ...
-
THIS TREK ROCKS!!!
-
I'm coming in a little late here. But can anyone explain to me how JJ makes an alternative timeline plausible? Thanks. -
i like pine's delivery/response to the farm animals joke. kirk gotta have a sense of humor - it's part of the dropkick charm.
less sure on the spock/kirk scene, but am willing to hold judgment til i see the whole.
an angry spock does not bother me. it makes sense - he's an outcast on 2 worlds and he's young. -
So far this looks like a teen angst drama about kids working in an Apple Store. "Damnit, I'm Doctor not a Genius."
-
I think I'd be into a Star Trek medical drama built around McCoy. House in the 23rd Century.
-
would you want to watch full clips of this before the movie? spoilers suck.
-
Are distracting! I do so hope the movie is amazing because if it's just ok I'll be fixated on those for the entire run-time.
-
I am not going to watch something that requires wearing sunglasses inside.
Yeah, sure... I'll look cool and all... Fuck that.
Lens-flare someone else. -
It seems that more and more reviews are hitting the 'net...and oddly enough, the ones from Sydney, while still pretty good are no where near the euphoria of the Austin reviews.
Also, it seems that the hardcore Trekkies, who have given themselves a few days to digest the story and everything else from the film are falling less and less in love with it the more they think about it.
Why is it that reviews that come out immeadiately after a screening with the cast and crew are almost always more positive than the ones that people take a few days to think about? What is that called?
I have a feeling that the film, while being very entertaining, is essentially a teen-version of Star Trek. Which is great, if that is all you want. I was on the fence before, then I got caught up in all the excitement...now I am back on the fence.
Star Trek is exhausting me...and I haven't even seen the film yet! -
Holy crap did I ever get goosebumps watching that clip.
The man is brilliant. -
Court Martial isn't a penalty. It's the military version of a trial. Way to make Spock look like a fucktard.

Hey, Teh Awesome... I've got some good news and bad news for you
by randysavage
Good news: You get to learn something new.
Bad news: I get to humiliate you in you in a public forum.
You wrote: "Fire: to hurl; throw: to fire a stone through a window. The term has been around long before firearms were invented you tool. Try to keep your cringing under control, you cock."
Here's the lesson: "the term 'fire' when related to archery is anachronistic (look that big word up). The term comes from the command 'give fire' which derives from early forms of handgun using a slow match. Bows are always shot, never fired."
Don't believe me, do some research.
Now I'd further insult your intelligence, but you've done enough already:
"It comes from, like, fire, y'know, like to hurl or throw, like firing a rock through a window." Good one. You stupid ass.
-
Star Trek: Lens Flair Nine. No? How about...Star Trek: The Motion Sickness.Okay, how about the oft requested...Star Trek 90210
-
it's called wishful thinking...I'm still hoping this film is actually great, it remains to be seen if it's actually Star Trek or not (my gut feeling is, it's not, but its cool enough to distract everyone from that fact).. Paramount have been very crafty about using shills like Harry and selected films reviewers who are well known for returning positive reviews for exclusives...
These clips are most bizzare, one second you think 'that aint kirke' and the next 'it might be' and i'm guessing thats how the hole thing feels, but you're too entertained by the action, fx and lens flares to get too critical of it.
I hope i'm wrong and it's just plain fantastic. -
ambassador.
-
Easily explained. Clearly there's a problem w/ the inertial dampeners.
-
There, I said it.
-
Wouldn't a blinding white bridge make it hard to read the consoles?
-
...without resorting to doing a hokey impression of the Shat. Quinto on the other hand... I just do not "get" Spock from him (besides him scarily looking like a young Nimoy). Pegg... WTF? Maybe I'm too used to the outrageously fake Scottish accent that Doohan always employed.

LENS FLARES RUINED BLADE RUNNER AND CLOSE ENCOUNTERS TOO
by bass bastardson
Or not. Douchbags.
-
...No, the salt-sucker from the first episode will now be male and gay. He'll kill people by BJ'ing all the jizz out of them\.
-
as for the doors not whooshing, the ambient 'doo-ing-ingle-ingle' pulse is there - something they ditched for TNG. Love that its back.
-
USS EnterPod?
One thing is for sure - that is no Inspiron they're flying around in. -
A billion?
-
EPIC WIN
-
The McCoy clip and Bar clip are amazing! LOVE IT.
-
And I haven't liked anything Star Trek related since First Contact and The Dominion Wars over a decade ago.
And to all you whiny Trekkie bitches who are crying into your Spock \themed sippy cups about how this isn't "real Trek" and not "true to Roddenberry vison", here's a dose of reality: Roddenberry's vision, if the first movie and the first couple seasons of the Next Generation were any indication, was about as exciting as a civics lecture from that burnt out hippie who always hangs out at the local free trade coffee shop. If Abrams has to add some splosions and sexy dames to blow the cobwebs off this hoary old franchise, so be it. -
Everyone of the cast is at least 30 except for that Anton Yelchin kid. Wasn't the original cast on their 30's as well? I think so, well except for Bones. Whatever just stop bichin people.
-
Kirk in name only. Just sayin'
-
And what about Bailey? AHHHHH
-
(Sorry, stuttered)
Actually, Chekov is the only non-canon looking event that isn't. He was ON the Enterprise, but not on the bridge, as evidenced by Khan's recognition of him in TWOK..."Space Seed" was in season 1 of TOS, before Koenig joined the cast. -
There was a cut scene of Khan looking over Enterprise crewmember files, and he comes upon Chekov's name. It was in Shatner's book.
-
Finally got that video to load...fuck, Urban does nail it.
-
Ha! But if it's a cut scene it's NON-CANON! So THERE!
(Shit, I'm starting to sound like AMERICAN DAD'S whiny son...I gotta get a hooker before I do a geek-relapse...) -
My kind of crotchety old bastard.
And to all the continuity Nazis out there - sit down, shut up, and enjoy the frakking ride. -
I think the infantilism of the "I'm not telling" remark was the whole point. FauxShat's clearly trying to egg some emotion out of NeoSpock. My guess is that Spock's rage against the Kirk beat comes not long after this.
Maybe one of the anointed few who've seen the whole film can tell me if my educated guess is correct. -
That's pure Essence Of McCoy reduced to two words. That good scripterizing.
-
I am actually surprised, Pine does a pretty good job of doing Shatner's style and mannerisms as a younger Kirk would. And yeah, Karl tears it up... total agreement, the part of Bones is a nice piece to chew on (ha!) and Urban seems to be jumping on it with gusto. I also think Quinto's Spock is too high voiced, maybe the weakest part, but.. I can overlook it. Looking forward to this.
-
The over use of lens flares? Did it have to be in every scene? And Paramount produced this film, and the latest Friday The 13th film, with again, the over use of lens flare is everywhere? It is as if some exec at Paramount saw lens flare for the first time and said, put it in every damn movie we are producing this year?
-
No matter if played by William Shatner or Chris Pine. Hot, sexy beast. You know Jim Kirk would not leave a girls bed without making sure her galaxy was thoroughly rocked. Can't wait for May 8.
-
Since you put it that way, I'll have to agree that the line could work. Baiting a cunning rival can be a very effective strategy.I have used the technique on occasion even in talkback. :)
-
Don't these people play Halo?
-
"Also, it seems that the hardcore Trekkies, who have given themselves a few days to digest the story and everything else from the film are falling less and less in love with it the more they think about it."Luckily since this isn't true, we don't have to worry about this. The reviews are still the same, no matter how desperate you are to want this be true.

Bass Bastardson: Actually They Were Sparing On The Lens Flares..
by media messiah
...in Blade Runner and Close Encounters, but it seems that every scene in this new Trek film is richly overstuffed with lens flares, even the dialogue scenes without special effects!
-
