Another episode recapping the show's premise. It's almost like every other show is the pilot, explaining everything to a brand new audience. Give it up, you've lost the audience.
And it was a VERY dull episode. They supposedly got their original personalities back, but they all pretty much acted like brain-wiped dolls anyway. Victor and Sierra had an exciting adventure, after they excitingly escaped from the Dollhouse by running around in basements ... they ended up running around in the basement of another building! And am I the only one getting a little impatient with the constantly raised idea that the dolls might actually be better off as dolls? There's no one in the show coming forward and making some sort of moral judgement on the whole shebang, as in that awful Patton Oswalt episode, where Echo gets to boink Oswalt and we are manipulated into feeling happy for here. What is missing is any sense that this is ironic, or that we are being manipulated to like something evil. It's just left sitting there, and if we decide "dolls are good" then hey, they are, for us. Yuck. -

When is the last time AICN actually brke some cool news? Because honestly, I can't fucking remember. All AICN seems to be these days is boring and often nonsensical op-ed pieces, gimmicky shit like this script girl crap, leafy green reviews, and regurgitated news from other websites, usually many hours, if not days old. What happened to the AICN that used to bring us actual brand new cool news? I've been following this site since it was a newsgroup, and I've never seen the site more corporate, more gimmicky, and with less news and less 'cool' than it has been the last year or so, and it continues to flounder worse and worse. If I have a point, that's pretty much it I guess, and it's exemplified by this script girl malarky. Old news delivered in gimmicky lowest common denominator fashion here for no other reason than to increase page hits and drum up more revenue dollars - which are largely based on a combination of unique page hits combined with the number of talkbacks posted in a given page - all for big red, or whoever owns the site these days. Not cool at all really. Anyway, end of rant. Carry on...
