I am – Hercules!!

“Breaking Bad,” AMC’s acclaimed meth-trade dramedy from “X-Files” vet Vince Gilligan, just got its third season.

Ratings for the second-season premiere were up 21 percent from the first-season premiere, according to the Hollywood Reporter.

AMC late last year gave a third-season order to period ad-man drama “Mad Men.”

Find all of the Reporter’s story on the matter here.

Season-sets of “Star Trek,” “Twilight Zone,” “The Invaders,” and much more have been hugely reduced in the big DVD sale. You can pick up the extra-packed “Zone” collector’s editions, which used to be $100 each and sold for $67.99 two weeks ago, for Less than $28 each

Between this show and Mad Men, AMC is currently putting out the best drama, hands down.

Best drama on cable right now, for sure. Bryan Cranston is amazing.

This show is like a less smug, bleaker Weeds.

now give me my third season airing of Mad Men already! and more Hustle on Demand, if possible. AMC is tops. HBO canned Carnivale before finishing its 6-season masterplan, Deadwood before Milch could give it a proper ending, John From Cincinnati without at least another season to give some sort of closure, and wouldn't man up to finance more Rome with the BBC (i'll believe that movie AICN posted a few weeks back when it's on the marquee). generation kill was sweet, and tom hanks has a pacific front WWII mini-series coming so we'll see. but until such time, fuck HBO. showtime has blown it with Dexter since midway through season 2, Weeds anything after the first season, and the Tudors has never interested me in the least. i'll actually follow it this season for the simple fact that i can make love to myself while watching the sultry Joss Stone pretend to be Anne of Cleves. fuck showtime. everybody needs to watch Breaking Bad, though.

Love every second of it and every ending has me dying to see the next one. OK, the over the top DEA agent brother in law needs to tone down the overacting but other than that, this show is f'ing AWESOME.

"Breaking Bad" is making the study of Chemistry cool.

    by leafar the lost

This is actually a very educational show. I was never interested in Chemistry before I started watching "Breaking Bad". This show is making the study of Chemistry cool to a whole new generation of high school and college students. Thousands of students are now running to the Internet and book stores to get books on chemistry, and they are going to technical shops to buy equipment so they can conduct their own experiments. This show is showing how studying science and math can be fun and exciting. Chemistry Clubs are now forming in every city in America, and they watch "Breaking Bad" for tips and inspiration. The Department of Education should give the writers and producers of this show an award for promoting the study of Chemistry. We need more shows like this on television. AMC deserves a lot of credit.

I have been avoiding watching any episodes because I just got privy to this show this year, and I don't want to start at the end, I want to watch from the start of Season 1. I am going to rent it ASAP so I can catch up. It looks fantastic.

    Great Show

    by godsrighthandgimp

After the deaths of The Shield and The Wire, drama TV was rather bleak. Mad Men is a gold nugget buried in crap. It has its moments but that does not make for an overall great show. Dexter is almost unwatchable how lazy the writers are. The great premise is the only thing that keeps it on my radar.

Breaking Bad is the pure glass. The writers are cooking an amazing story and its the bomb, yo.

More Badger and bring back Tuco in zombie form. Zombie Tuco pwns joo!

    Absolutely Fantastic Show

    by raromo

There's HBO, there's Showtime, and now there's AMC. Who woulda thunk? But AMC has done a tremendous job, between Mad Men and Breaking Bad, and the upcoming Mars series. Finally, an antidote to yet another "very special" ER installment. God, I am so glad that series is going off the air. The shit you scrape off your shoes (like West Wing).

    by sebastianhaff

But the fucking movies they show are puke inducing. Catwoman? Really? And while I have to sheepishly admit I have a soft spot for Scream 2, what ass fucker decided to put it on American Movie Classics? The way I see it, anything made in the last twenty years, even if it's an amazing film, has no place on a channel dedicated to the classics. A movie needs some time to earn classic status. Just because they happened to have acquired the rights to The Skulls from whatever merger or deal they went through, is no reason to actually inflict The Skulls on... well, anyone.

    That is all.
