Wicked DRAG ME TO HELL poster premieres at STYD!
Ahoy, squirts! Quint here... about to run down and grab some breakfast before my first ShoWest panel of the day (Disney's 3-D presentation), but figured I'd throw this up for you.
The good folks at ShockTillYouDrop nabbed the premiere of the one-sheet for Sam Raimi's return to form DRAG ME TO HELL. And it's a wicked-cool poster.
Still working on my interview with Raimi, but I hope to have that ready for you guys before I return home on Friday.

From what I'm hearing the film may very well be kick ass... I 'm just tired of these lamed out photoshitted efforts that passes for movie posters nowadays. I'm sorry if i'm being critical. Its just that I'm a hugh fan of GOOD Movie posters... I'm just sick of the laziness that infected Hollywood when it comes to cranking out the memorable advertisement. -
She looks more like some kind of rock singer. This would make a better album cover than a movie poster.

Seriously, none of the marketing for this film has interested me yet. It all smacks of "standard crappy horror movie". If it wasn't for everyone who's seen a workprint saying that it's a "true return to form for Raimi" then I'd have zero interest in seeing it.

...are not just ready, but actively anticipating sticking knives into Avatar. There are bad movies made and cynical reasons behind making a lot of them but I don't get how that applies here. It must be sad never being able to look forward to anything except another opportunity to join (now old) internet circle jerk hogpile. This had to be a record for people queuing up to do so though.

what people like myself are saying is that it is way overhyped and not the second coming like its die hard fans seem to think it will beit's very similar to watchmen, that is a movie i absolutley love but i'll be the first to admit that it was overhyped and is making alot less money then everybody was expecting it too (with the lawsuit over the rights and its diminishing returns, i doubt WB will even see the major profit they were counting on)it's the same with avatar, regardless if its a good or bad movie, its expectations are too high and FOX will likley have a hard time breaking even with such a gamble

Pretty much nobody I know has ever even heard of it - there have been to date zero posters, trailers, clips or stills. Outside of AICN I've barely seen it mentioned. If anything, for a movie under 9 months away, it is significantly UNDERhyped. The public are not aware of it.

Less direct to video, more bottom of the cinemplex barrel. Trailer didn't instill much faith either, except for an admittedly awesome looking witch. Or Gypsy evil doer.
