How weird is it that Jimmy Buffet was on my iPod

    by chrth

when I read this. I mean, not entirely weird since I have most of his songs on my iPod. But the fact that of the 5000+ songs, one of the 200+ Buffett songs was on. That's like a 4% chance. Weird.
PS: The song was 'Quietly Making Noise' from Fruitcakes.

    by richievanderlow

No one has the balls to put shit on TV like these guys, and I really think they get away with because of how blatantly obvious they make it, yet no one that should be watching to see who they're blasting ever does... except for Tom Cruise who has spies everywhere.

I think it was part of the joke that by the end they never explicitly say. But then Cartman does say I knew it was you. And that's who he kept saying it was through out most of the episode.

    by ian216a

was the last tv show that literally made me fall out of my chair laughing. The balls of the guys. To make a show that centered on many static shots of oprah winfreys crotch was just jaw-droppingly funny. And to then have her orifaces talk with British Accents was something I think the Monty Python team would have been proud to put on TV back in the early seventies. ps Her anus's name was cockney rhyming slang for the butthole. Gary = Gary Glitter = Shitter. Still makes me laugh

by shut the fuck up donny

I really enjoyed that episode. A few burst-out-loud moments, and some pretty insightful writing by Trey.

Yeah, some people are disappointed with there not being resolution to the Cartman betrayal, but I think Trey knew it would have been overkill to push the joke. I think it was better that Kyle just gave that "what-the-fuck-ever" look to Cartman during the "last" supper.

BTW, at the very end, when they gave Obama all the credit, did Kyle say "Jesus Christ" or "God dammit?" I have forgotten.

    The unmasking of Mysterion

    by kid z

Dudes, that was the joke: No one could tell who it was. A play on the fact that all the character designs of the South Park kids are basically the same (except for hats and hairstyles. Also the fact that, in real life, if there were superheroes and one got in front of the press and unmasked, we'd see it on TV and be saying, "Well who the f**k is this schmoe, anyway?"

    by jsarnold513

I liked the last 2 eps, but this one was so-so. I liked the "And it's gone..." opener, the chicken oracle, and Stan's storyline, along with the "economy as God" gag, but the whole Jesus thing was just... blah. Still, they did a pretty good job of explaining the stupid mortgage backed securities metaphor, but I was hoping this would really be about the bailouts or maybe a wacky search for the "Jew cave." It was nice to see an ep not centered around Cartman, though.

Takes off his mask and pauses for a second and says, "I have no idea who this is." Classic...

several times. I thought Mysterio was Kenny. Or should be Kenny. I assume its Clyde. Funny episode but yes they had so much more current material to go by. I thought it was a Watchmen spoof at first and ended up being almost a summer late. Still South Park is my favorite.
