DirecTV To Satcast The Seven Lost Episodes Of EYES!!

Published at:  Mar 23, 2009 12:21:02 AM CDT

I am – Hercules!!

“Eyes,” the first-rate 2005 ABC hourlong that died with seven of its 12 completed episodes untelecast in the U.S., will see its “lost” installments satcast on DirecTV’s channel 101 this summer.

Though unavailable on a licensed DVD set, the seven “unaired” episodes were aired in New Zealand in 2005, and have since been available via the Internet’s illegal bittorrents.

The series, which followed the employees of cutting-edge private investigation enterprise Judd Risk Management, starred Tim Daly (“The Sopranos”), Rick Worthy (“Battlestar Galactica”), Natalie Zea (“Dirty Sexy Money”), A.J. Langer (“My So-Called Life”), Eric Mabius (“Ugly Betty”) and Laura Leighton (“Melrose Place”).

DirecTV will also satcast unseen episodes of CBS’ 2006 heist thriller “Smith” (starring Simon Baker, Amy Smart, Jonny Lee Miller, Ray Liotta and Virginia Madsen) and ABC’s 2006 hostage drama “The Nine” (starring Tim Daly, Scott Wolf, Chi McBride, Dana Davis and Kim Raver).

DirecTV remains in discussions with NBC Universal about continuing new episodes of “Friday Night Lights” beyond its third season.

Thanks Direct TV. I think I liked Eyes or maybe I just remember liking Natalie Zea.DirectTV did a solid by airing Peter Berg's nutter hospital show Wonderland. Maybe that's what in the future for the 101 Network airing lost or forgoten TV shows?

There might be 15 people (not counting those involved with the show) who care about this. Period. In the entire world. 15. And 14 are working when this airs. I hope DirecTV is spending my money wisely...

What about Daisies you ABC dipshits?

    by the mcpoyle clan

I wouldn't mind catching the rest of Smith. It was kinda lame, but aside from them flaunting Amy Smart even more than Heroes does Ali Larter, Liotta was somewhat entertaining in a pseudo-trainwreck sort of way.

Fortunately I already have seen the missing episodes and have them burned them to DVD. Cancelled after five freaking episodes! This was even worse to what happened to Firefly.

Now if only they could do a "complete series" DVD set after this. I mean, it's not like it's going anywhere or the rights are hotly contested.

    by wixmmm

THIS DESERVES ALL CAPS----- WONDERLAND, A PETER BERG SHOW, IS ABOUT A PSYCH WARD IN NEW YORK CITY... THERE HAS NEVER BEEN A BETTER PORTRAYAL OF WHAT MENTAL ILLNESS IS REALLY ABOUT-- DEFINATELY THE BEST TV OR MOVIE OR MINISERIES TO TACKLE THE SUBJECT MATTER, BUT ALSO IS ARGUABLY THE BEST TAKE OF MENTAL ILLNESS IN ANY MEDIUM, EVER. AND FRIDAY NIGHT LIGHTS IS BETTER THAN 99 PERCENT OF YOU PEOPLE THINK IT IS... I'D LIKE TO SEE IT CONTINUE, HOWEVER I AM SATISFIED AS SEASON 3 TIED UP ALL THE LOOSE ENDS. done. no more caps post-- i don't want to be 'that guy.'
