The first Tartakovsky-free season of “Clone Wars” ends tonight.
Turned off by a little too much emphasis on Anakin’s screechy padawan sidekick and the roger-roger robots, I have seen little of the series, but some have told me it’s better than Tartakovsky’s version, while others have said they like it better than “Revenge of the Sith.”
Tonight’s season-closer introduces a new bounty hunter named Cad Bane, who seems to be a cross between The Man With No Name and the creepy preacher fella from "Poltergeist 2":

I still haven't seen any of the animated Star Wars & I doubt I ever will. The prequels killed off any interest I had in Star Wars.
Even the original trilogy, which I must have watched a million times as a kid, just look stupid now, because I know Darth Vader's a whiny little bitch.
They should call the next villain "Lucas Neck". -

Not that I'll be on it. I can't watch the finale until Sunday. I probably won't even use my pc until then. Once it's finished I'll tie my TV to my legs & jump into the sea. After BSG is gone, there's not much left. Certainly NOT animated Clown Wars. -
It was the first time that I have ever been to a strip club...nor was I expecting any of it. Anyway, the most beautiful girl, I have ever seen before...gave me a lap dance, actually two of them? She had the deepest darkest eyes too--very big...and she was tall, like a model, about 6 feet in heels...and also, the most femine and shapely woman, I have ever seen, with clear skin...and everything real. Wow???!!! And I promised myself to never go to a strip club before? What a mistake, those women were hitting on me like I was a chick???!!! I need to get rich, damn it, all my days and nights would be spent like this! If I do, get rich, I mean, I'm going to the champagne room--whatever that is? It sounds cool, though?

That's probably off topic..but still 10 times more interesting than Star Wars cartoons.
I'd give the "Champagne room" a miss if I were you, however. Unless you wanna buy those girls champagne & be tricked into going back every week because you think you "know who she really is inside" & that she loves you. Or that somehow you'll get the goods for free one day
Trust me, even the smartest of men get caught with that one. Why bother when you can already see the goodies for less of your hard earned cash?

He knew how to handle the stories and the characters so that I actually preferred them to their portrayals in the prequels (especially Windu). Sure they were animated, but it didn't feel like they were just for kids like I feel the current Clone Wars series is (from the droids to the ham-fisted morals to each story).
The problem with the Clone Wars is it's the least interesting period in the Star Wars expanded universe, to the point that I consider the prequels to be in the expanded universe and not part of Star Wars itself.
Instead of watching Clone Wars I highly recommend anything from the KOTOR period, Dark Times, Rebellion, New Republic/Jedi Order, and Legacy periods. Clone Wars is really light weight in comparison. -
Dexter's Lab was a one-note gag dragged way too long. Samurai Jack was a decent but way overrated adventure that never got the finale it needed to be anything but pointless action. And his take on the Clone Wars was just painful, painful posturing. I'll take a thousand screechy apprentices and roger-roger droids any day.

I think the reaction from "meh" to "outright hatred" for the clone wars movie really had to do that it was a pilot episode 3 parter mashed into a single flick and they were still finding their footing, which they have easily found now. Lucas just threw it in the theaters cause he thought it looked great and wanted an extra cash crab. The animation does play better on the small screen (even if I think there's some lip synch problems) and Anakin is still pretty one-dimensional compared to how in the prequels he was actually fleshed out (regardless of what you thought of Christensen's performance, the character was definitely had some depth to him). Also, it seems to run low on drama because you know A) nobody important will bite it and B) the clone wars will not come to a conclusion and Dooku, Sidious, and Grevious make it through to the end - aside from Ventress, this series needs some baddies that we can invest in, stat. But it's a solid, action series set in the SW universe that shows some interesting side stories. And it even has moments of Star Wars coolness that harken back to the series best moments. Pity that first-run of episodes/movies turned alot of people off.

C'mon, it had the soul of Luke's vision from ESB, it related the history of what happened to the aliens of the planet Anakin was on, and it was a big ole foreshadowing of his eventual fate as Darth Vader. That's a really cool scene with some metaphorical layers to it that the new Clone Wars series hasn't even begun to touch. Fun show, though, just kind of shallow.

I was dragged to my first strip club by my cousin about five years ago. The friggin' ATM charged me $8 for each withdraw, and there was a two drink minimum, and I didn't drink, but was forced to buy something that I can best describe as sludge. And it turned out the club would just let any old beast dance on stage -- but hey, beauty is on the inside, right?

There used to be a time. A long long time ago, when Star Wars character's had this unique quality about them. They would be influenced by say a nazi helmet. WWII fighter planes, but not so much that it was painfully obvious. Well now that's all out the window! Hey look he looks like a cowboy, whatever! Look a Hutt in drag. Whatever, the Star Wars universe has become a complete joke! Someone forgot what made Star Wars cool.

The stories in the Clone Wars is pretty damn good and match the level of quality from the first two films. I'm hoping the second season at least gets a little darker.

If that is true, there must be a lot more going on in the Champagne Room than just dancing, I suspect? The girls I saw looked nice, to average, but they kept the room pretty dark. That said, the girl that danced for me, I saw her up-close, and she was incredible! I mean, before her, I wanted to leave the club, two girls in, as the idea of paying for a woman's affections doesn't appeal to me. I don't know if it is my ego...wanting a woman to want me for me (?), or a since of justice...or just misplaced morals, where there should be none? I mean, if this is really how society is, behind the green curtain, or any curtain...for that matter, then...I am wasting my time being the good guy, when everybody, both men and women, seem to be stealing cookies from the cookie jar, with a wink...wink sort of attitude, which says, "Don't take the cookies!" But if nobody in your life...that can paint you with a Scarlet Letter, is looking, you hear very different words, like..."Ssssssssshhhhh...go ahead, take all the damn cookies you want, and then some!" This whole world seems like a giant AIG to me, now...and everything, and every person, is for sale...you just have to have enough maney to meet their price, or richly exceed it...and for your own personal survival, maybe you had better...or you won't get any of the cookies, just the crumbs, that is, if you are lucky???George Lucas didn't fuck my childhood, this whole phony ass lying society has!!!

A friend of a friend is a producer, but I didn't know that before I started tuning it. It's no live action Star Wars (oh I can't wait for that show), but it's on par with most of the EU.
It's for kids, and you'll be better off knowing that going in. But if you accept that it's a little silly, there's some really awesome stuff to discover. -
I refused to see it in the theater. I finally saw it on Blu and was all ready to trash it completely, but it wasn't that bad. I was surprised at how much I actually didn't hate it, and the previews for later episodes seemed like there were some genuinely interesting plots. My main complaint with the EU these days is that the only two characters who haven't met yet are Lobot and Chief Chirpa. It's a big galaxy, not everyone has to meet each other.

First off, it was a bit of a dupe to say 'final episode', because even I thought it was for BSG (my favorite live-action TV show), and Clone Wars is only finishing it's first season. It's not a series finale. Secondly, I really disliked the Clone Wars movie (it was after all, mentioned above, 3 pilot episodes back to back to back), but thought that the show has improved 10-fold (maybe more)since.Lastly: If Lucas was smarter (no offence, Uncle G), he would've had Star Wars live-action start in September for all the BSG freaks (like me!) who were Jonesing for more great sci-fi fare (because you know it's gonna be spectacular!).Season 2 should be pretty good if they keep getting better at the rate their improving. I just wonder what all the parents think of the massive amounts of (sometimes brutal)deaths and great violence in the show.

I'm looking forward to the season sets on DVD. I just hope Lucas doesn't fuck us with some half-ass 3 episode DVD sets. -
