VERONICA MARS’ Julie Gonzalo Joins Cast Of NBC’s Sci-Fi Apocalypse Pilot DAY ONE!!

Published at:  Mar 12, 2009 2:15:56 AM CDT

SPOILER ALERT !!

I am – Hercules!!

Julie Gonzalo, who played romantic rival Parker Lee in the final season of “Veronica Mars,” will play a girl who could not save her fiancé in NBC’s sci-fi pilot “Day One.”

The pilot follows a group of apartment dwellers who survive a mysterious worldwide cataclysm. NBC is giving serious thought to using a “Day One” series to fill “Heroes’” hiatus next season.

Additionally, Derek Mio (“Greek”) and 17-year-old Addison Timlin (“Cashmere Mafia”) have been cast as “Day One” characters caught in a hostage situation.

Alex Graves, who helmed Fox's literally jaw-dropping “Fringe” pilot (and NBC’s “Journeyman” pilot), will direct from a teleplay by “Alias”/“Lost” writer-producer Jesse Alexander.

this might bear watching. But this better not be an "apocolypse-lite" like Jericho.

Maybe if you threw "Watchmen" in the headline somewhere, there'd be more traffic.

    by ides

Yes, she got her head shaved in season 3. Season 3 was quite good as long as you don't go in expecting the perfection of season 1. Still better than most things on tv not named The Shield, Battlestar Galactica, or Lost.
