because someone brought a screaming toddler to a 2.5 hr rated R movie. Can you get a refund if the theater experience (for an adult movie)is compromised by young children?

anybody else think the 'score' was garbage

    by awepittance

i was frankly shocked when i heard what sounded like another cookie cutter heavy metal infused soulless Tyler Bates movie soundtrack in Watchmen after countless apologists said 'it sounds retro like Vangelis in Bladerunner' WTF?!?! how could anybody even utter those words?
Anybody could have handled this score better than Tyler Bates. Yeah the 'soundtrack' has problems, too obvious song choices, etc but compared to this god awful score its actually kind of enjoyable.

would be nice to get a 'silent score' option on the DVD

    by awepittance

so the fanboys can put in their own score and soundtrack.
I've seen a few DVDs like this but this one needs it BAAAAD.
What's strange is that the Watchmen motion comic score which is fully orchestrated works a SHIT LOAD better than the music in the film. It's a sad state when people get paid money (tyler bates) to make a score that is depths worse than a score for it's cartoon version

...for a second there, I thought the header said "Watchmen Musical"! I thought: "Already???" Actually, I liked the music in Watchmen. Sometimes inappropriate cues for given scenes (Hallelujah... someone described that as "the weirdest Leonard Cohen video, ever") but overall a creative and interesting score. One of the few things I liked about the film. (Except for MCR over the closing credits, no call for that, really!)

...I've gotten a raincheck for another showing of a film due to being annoyed by mewling children. Took an argumant with the theatre manager, though. Don't get too angry or offensive, just keep stating your point, sternly but politely. Asking for the name and number of the regional manager helps a lot too.

After hearing what passed for the "score" in this movie...

    by jackpumpkinhead

...I was actually wishing that Tyler Bates HAD plagiarized someone good once again. I've heard better movie music from Marilyn Manson and rappers than from this guy.

    blade runner

    by wplisken

actually it went further than just being vintage vangelis. it actually used melodies from the blade runner soundtrack. i was a bit confused as it happened as it was so blatant. but it did.

    I thought it was good

    by maxer

Sounded like 80s noir. Or Blade Runner. But I liked the non-original music choices and I've been listening to the original soundtrack too.

Most of the songs aren't themes to like, just a background drone that subconsciously injects tension. I thought 'I Love You' and 'Edward Blake - The Comedian' were good though.
