FIREFLY Girl Morena Baccarin To Play Alien Leader In ABC Lizard-Nazi Remake-Pilot V!!

Gorgeous Morena Baccarin, who played space hooker Inara in “Firefly,” may now have a second reason to work the comic-book convention circuit down the road.
Baccarin, who vaguely resembles original “V” lead alien Jane Badler, has just been cast in ABC's pilot for a remake of the 1983 miniseries about Nazi-ish lizard extraterrestrials who invade Earth.
Baccarin will play the alien leader opposite Scott Wolf and Morris Chestnut.

Might as well throw the rest of them in since most of them aren't doing shit. Ron Glass could be the old guy that spraypaints V, Jewel Staite as pregnant girl, Sean Maher as alien secret police turncoat guy. I'd watch it.

She gets to be the ice bitch. I think she can pull this off.
And if Scott Wolf is actually the slimeball PR collaborator and not the hero, that's also good casting. But we'd need that confirmed, since Herc said he'd be the hero and now I don't know what to believe.
As for Morris "ANACONDA 2" Chestnut, I remain skeptical. -

be able to rock the giant hair/padded shoulders look of the '80s? But seriously, if handled well this is a remake that could work. The original had to comply with drama dynamics of the time, with all sorts of soap opera-ish "drama".

played the perfect woman in Firefly. Now, I wasn't planning on watching V, but seeing her being part of the cast changed my mind. And yeah, she could be a great Wonder Woman.

Not that she impressed me in Firefly, but she looks a lot like a younger Diana. She has the crazy eyes.

Not the broadcast version, mind you, but check out Season 1-2 DVD, where they did 2 or 3 skits/pilot tests called "It's Always Sunny in L.A." She was the good looking girl who happened to be a tranny guy with a penis. (Recast when they used the scene/story for an actual episode.)

Namely Wonder Woman. I can only hope she doesn't suffer the same fate as her predecessor Jane Badler who was forever type cast, after her character ate a rat, and was consigned to Fantasy Island and Love Boat guest appearances after V.

There is a bigger chance for Uwe Boll and Paul WS Anderson getting an Oscar for Citicen Kane II than a good movie about a superheroine. Unless of course they make Boobarella vs. Vampirella - Lesbian Mudwrestlers.
V will rock again and don't forget that the visitors won't eat the hamsters with their mouth this time. I heard Lemmiwinks is already booked for a guest spot. -

I can't argue with this casting,in fact, I cheer it!!! She can act...and has a dominant presence on screen, when given a chance to emote. Joss Whedon seldomly allowed that, and almost completely ignored her in Serenity, but the series Stargate finally, and fully...allowed her a chance to exhibit her brilliance! Congratulations on the casting, you've picked a winner!!!
