You Will Have An Opportunity To Watch Men At Wonder Con This Friday! In IMAX!

Published at:  Feb 24, 2009 5:25:38 PM CST

Beaks here...

Tired of reading tantalizing "non-review" reviews of WATCHMEN? Want to see the damn thing for yourself? Want to not wait until March 6th?

I don't have the specifics just yet, but I can tell you with absolute certainty that there will be a screening of WATCHMEN this Friday night somewhere near (or at) Wonder Con in San Francisco - and, according to HitFix's Drew McWeeny (via Zack Snyder), it's going to be in IMAX! So if you're going to be in the area and would like the opportunity to brag to your friends for six whole days(!) while they wait to see WATCHMEN on opening night like a bunch of chumps, then you should definitely start sniffing around for passes right now.

If I get additional information, I'll post it here. I'll also have a review for you at some point (unlike most of my colleagues, I'm not too upset at being embargoed as I haven't finished mine just yet; lots to process with this one).

Will there be any comic book companies/movie production companies that allow creators to pitch film scripts at their tables???

Screw "The Watchmen," Beaks, cover "Nightwing"!

    by the reluctant austinite

I'm kidding. I know I'm the only guy on AICN that would pass on the "Watchmen" screening to see "Nightwing" with Mancuso and Macht, but I figure I've got plenty of chances to see "Watchmen" in a couple of weeks and there'll be a half dozen dvd versions in six months. My eyeballs haven't seen "Nightwing" since HBO in the 1980s!

Whether it's good or bad, I'm getting very impatient waiting for this film.

Do you have to have Wondercon tix to attend?

    by zardoz

I'm going on Saturday, not Friday. (Saturday has the actual Watchmen panel with Snyder and cast) Please keep this updated with specifics!

And if this is anything like the last few years, there will be a drawing when you get your badge. I was lucky enough to win my way into the IMAX debut of 300, and i'm sure as hell hoping to get into Watchmen.
