90 minutes of cock and pussy jokes, i'd rather just jerk off.
-
and i have never seen a more faithful adaptation of anything ever. problem is, i'm not sure it works as a film. its greatness was never in the plot, and a movie demands a very different kind of plot. i loved it. but then, i love the book.
-
I caught that too. Harry wished the other day that he could see this early, and now he's calling it amazing? Ummm, so did you see this Harry, or are you calling it amazing based on the opinion of others?
-
Yes, but not in Texas. I'd rather see it with average joes, so I can gauge THEIR reaction. I'm pretty sure I'll hate how many changes are made, but they are the deal-breakers. Not us.
-
but not enough to use myspace. its all about facebook.
-
Win! See you at the Drafthouse parking lot on Tuesday. :)

C'mon Capone good buddy!

The scar Snyder has put open this project by changing the ending is to pronounced to dismiss. The movie will be not the faithful adaption we were promised, but a hack directors attempt at grasping a story he never understood. I'm sure visually it will be mildly interesting, but beyond that, what else is there. I can only imagine how terrible Rorschach s death scene will be handled, the idiotic new ending, the score developed by a composer openly known for stealing others work. The sheer hatred Snyder will receive for this atrocity will make people forget the name Schumaker.

because if it turns out to be otherwise on March 6 you will be banned from the universe

I have to give a shout out to Ted Raimi's death in Midnight Meat Train. It's a bit cartoony but Oh My God, What The Fuck at the same time. Worth the rental just for that scene.

although Im pretty keen to see that Flock Of Seagulls segment now...damn

You awesomeness never ceases to amaze. Damn You Harry Knowles! "I have to work" is a phrase that I love and loathe. Had this movie not been made, i wouldn't have even heard of the graphic novel on which it is based. I've got it on order and look forward to seeing the film.
-
I wasn't sure at first if I was going to like it, but overall it was a damn good (and unsettling) Horror film.
-
jesus there's some easily amused dummies here who are happy to sit through confused drivel
-
Are you bullshitting?
But it is a good list of winners... 3 oscars for Batman. -
All of the viral videos so far for Watchmen have been awesome. I'm hoping they still have a few more before the movie comes out!
-
let us see... i'm going to take half a day off from work, drive 100 miles south, and be at the theater 5 hours early. if i don't get in I'm gonna to pop your fuckin' stomach sutures.
-
I'm not in charge of the screening, Myspace and Warner Bros' reps are. I'm just attending and introducing. The last time one of these MYSPACE screenings took place at the Drafthouse it was for BORAT and apparently a zillion folks showed up. There's a little under 400 seats available. Best of luck.
-
I've heard from 4 people that are going to fly in to try to get in. Personally... that's a helluva risk. If you're that rabid to see the film, I'd pull a Star Wars and camp.

already mutton in the 80s

She prounounced "out" like a Canadian.Anyhow, forget the ending -- they made a pointless change by not having Silk Spectre II smoke: http://tinyurl.com/dgy2a2

Breaks the fourth wall too much, it could not take place after the Keene act, and yet Nite Owl is not active anymore.

From all that ass you kiss?
-
it smells a little like flowers you douchebox

If you've read the book, you'll be pleased. If you haven't read it, you'll hate it.
-
Does that still happen? That used to be really annoying. For that to happen at a preview screening, well I hope they have backups. You know, just in case.
I have a feeling that theaters have just been projecting DVDs onto giant screens for the past five or six years. Just a hunch.
Good luck you people who get to watch this movie before others get to watch it. I hope the film stays intact for the duration.
Pray they have backups. -
WHY THE FUCK WOULD YOU FLY IN OR CAMP OUT OR DRIVE A LONG ASS WAY?it comes out march 6th it's only a few weeks away just relax ffs man
-
Before or after ScriptGirl bares all? Make it so, Harold!!
-
You BASTARD! You lucky lucky BASTARD! Harry ya better have a review and some attendees reactions after that showing. BASTARDS!:)
-
the soulless 'spoilers' show on mtv show'd part of the prison break scene... most of these scenes they are releasing seem chopped up from what will hopefully be the final product. I'm sure it's violence that causes the wierd edits in scenes online. This scene, the tenament fire, and the Rorschach arrest scene come to mind.
-
I saw it at the end of January, in a near complete stage. As a person who has owned the graphic novels since 1989, and knows the story well, I was disappointed with the final product on screen.
Was it a good movie? Sort of, in the way I felt 300 was decent but by no means great. In my opinion, if you LOVED 300 more than likely you'll be all over this like it was THE GODFATHER. On the other hand, if you tire of slow-mo effects, some really bad acting (not all, especially Jackie Earle Haley) and don't care that some of the movie is just plain boring, well, this might not live up to your expectations.
True enough I didn't see it in a theater full of fans and people rabid to see it, so that might have some effect in viewing, but overall I really just felt meh about it. Certainly not the failure feel of THE SPIRIT, but nowhere near the brains and brawn of THE DARK KNIGHT.
I do think it's very interesting that the man who will tell anyone who gets within ten feet of him that's he's as TUNED IN to the movie biz more than everyone else, hasn't seen this movie. Actually, it makes me laugh because The Lord God Harry couldn't get his own screening. WOLVERINE either. Which I've also seen albeit in incomplete form. But he saw FIRED UP... whoopee!
Bottom line, it'll do well because of what it is, but I think some people, maybe even many people, will ultimately be disappointed with the film as a whole. Some parts are very good, and other parts make you laugh inappropriately. I will say this, if it was 3D that would add a layer to it that would kick ass. IMAX is good, 3D would be better. -

Sure, and I saw Nolan's third Batman movie last week...
by mr_incredible
Even though it hasn't even been made yet.

What is the deal with Wolverine? I've heard conflicting reports: 1) that Gavin Hood was allowed to make the film he wanted, and 2) that Rothman micromanaged the entire process to hell and the film is a confused mess as a result. What say you?
-
A bud and I bought out an entire theater for the midnight screening March 6!! Bring it!!
