Toys & Packaging From J.J.'s TREK Hint At What We'll Be Seeing In Stores (And On Screen) Soon...
Merrick here...
Images of toys from Abrams' STAR TREK movie are making their way across the Internet, providing our first look at packaging & better looks at several figures & designs from the film.

You can find many more toy images (figures and gadgets both in and out of packages) via THIS flickr photostream.
Many (if not all) of the pics seem to originate from THIS Japanese website, which appears to be taking pre-orders.
Most/all of these should be hitting stores in late April. "Original Spock"? Sounds like a soft drink...

I have become an AICN cliche.
-
Looking forward to the movie, but this does nothing for me. Doesn't really seem like anything we havent already seen or heard.
-
but I'm a Pepper.
-
J.J. better make his money fast before Wolverine and John Connor gobble up his market share.
-
Goddammit no Spock one either.
-
Star Trek will be this year's Superman Returns. Young models playing classic characters, check. A over-rated director with geek cred, check. A massive budget spent almost exclusively on CGI, check. Fuck all story, check.

Who the fuck cares when AVATAR is fucking our eyeballs in 2009?
by Motoko Kusanagi
nobody

reason i ask is i may not be able to watch it. I had lasix done years ago and a while back i tried to watch Meet the Robinsons in 3-D and literally couldn't see the images. Which makes me wonder if the same thing would happen to me if i tried to watch Coraline. Or has the 3-D been refined better since then. Any lasic peoples out there having the same problem i am?

unless it actually works. <P> Stupid phaser I bought at a convention won't even stun a person--forget about disintegration. <P> My red shirt is fading, but it still fits me, although it is a little tight.
-
**SPOILER**<p> Okay, so we know the new look and alterations are a result of an alternate timeline thingy because the Romulan goes back and changes something, but had this not happened then everything would have looked O.S. right?<p> This movie is a likely hit, but can anyone see them devolving the sets etc. into the O.S. look in the sequel after they've resolved the crisis in this movie? Of course they won't, so this is a reboot whether they admit it or not. Bye-bye continuity.

-
MAY2009!!!!!
-
I bought all that shit expecting it to be an awesome movie, then after I saw it I wanted to throw them all in the trash can...
-
It will look cool on top of my TV.
-
"Official Star Trek BenWah Balls TM®©" from Ronco!
-
Spock's packaging on its side looks like a roman numeral 5 -- great for those marketeers who want to relate him with "Star Trek V - The Final Frontier"
-
Don't miss out.
-
Original Spockster! What the FUCK has happened to STAR TREK????

Van De Kamp's fishticks ad is more exciting than JJ-Prise.
by YackBacker
Ooooo TARTAR sauce! I did enjoy how poorly the Japanese website misspelled all of the crew's names.
-
another shatner rant about not being given a part in this
-
under the cloak...ewwwwwwww
-
Me. No. Go...
-
Do we come over there and trash your fucking Lost scripts? Then why in the FUCK are you fucking up my Trek?! Fucking Amateur..
-
No matter how you slice it, the original TV show Enterprise looks 100x better.
-
Avatar will be screene in 2D as well. Cameron is framing all his shots as 2D, if they work as 3D it's an added bonus.
-
Why did they put the engines so close to each other? I mean, this is basic, common sense stuff. Morons.
-
...was a tiny, hippie-inspired model that looked like it was made out of wood. At least this thing looks plausible. <p>I do, however, hope that this ship somehow evolves into the movie Enterprise. That ship...was cool.</p> I am looking forward to this film.
-
It would make all of those friendless Trekkie fanatics happy. <p>This film looks great! My only concern: The ship's fuselage is too short...and the engine constructs are too far back. Other than that...I love it! </p> The Enterprise in this film is sooooooo much better than that fugly ship from that old 1960s TV show.
-
What was it? PVC pipe or a block of wood held up by string? Even the interior looked like shit. It looked like plywood with LiteBrites for computers. <p>Can't wait to see someone who actually spent money on the Star Trek concept!!! </p>
-
he did alias
-
Give us something new to swoon over. It is time for a new Star Trek, one happening 100 years post Star Trek: The Next Generation, Deep Space 9, and Voyager. I want new look, and new style for future Star Trek adventures. Why they are doing prequels, I'll never know???
-
WTF.
-
So it's a crossover
-
watch star trek 2 again and you'll note it's just as cheesy plywood and cardboard.... they just spent some time making it look cooler
-
in which Patrick Stewart will make all the womens' clothes fall off, and they'll immediately try to cover up despite the fact that he already saw everything?
-
I was never a fan of Trek, except for dabbling into some TNG. But Star Trek isn't relevant anymore to this fast-changing world, this looks like just the update the series needs to stay fresh. Oh, and tell me MI:3 wasn't awesome, go ahead, I dare you.
-
More plant than a Led Zep reunion. Straight from Paramount Pictures to you!
-
I hear Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen is a tour de force from ACCLAIMED director Michael Bay. I can't wait for robot fighting action coming our way this summer of '09!
-
So says trekmovie.com.
-
What's not relevant is your completely fucking useless opinion.
-
Quite the quip. You must be one of those tough guys that scare me in real life?
-
It has props from nearly every major sci fi film and show. Most of it looks like cardboard up close, except for stuff from the original BSG, Winston's Terminator, and the costume for the Rocketeer.
-
there aint no "i" in pimp- no, wait...
-
Unless you're a marijuana plant and I can smoke you, go away
-
...in your moms basement really made you all so cynical that any expression of enthusiasm must be met with upfront douchebaggery and accusations? Oh wait...this is AICN, carry on misanthropes!
-
Jesus, that's such a fucking cliche. Yawn.
-
A lame-ass juvenile pot reference out of the blue, so I'm sure where you can see where I came up with the association.
-
Proper English rules.<p>Carry on with the erudite obloquy, m'man...good stuff.
-
perfect. I love it...
-
Seriously though, this film looks like utter shit.
-
Hey Hairy Nutsack, you're not seriously still operating under the belief that this film was ever anything other than a start-from-square-one reimagining of the Star Trek concept, are you? The only people who still think this is a continuation of the original Star Trek are the sad people who want to believe it because they read a mediocre comic book that was promoted as a tie-in. Lame.
