I am – Hercules!!

The same year Johnny Smith saw Martin Sheen’s Greg Stillson become president and destroy the world, Sheen also played the president of the United States in the 1983 miniseries “Kennedy.” It co-starred Blair Brown as Jackie, Vincent Gardenia as J. Edgar Hoover, E.G. Marshall as Joseph P. Kennedy and Kevin Conroy – longtime voice of the Batman – as Ted Kennedy.

Beyond “The Dead Zone” and “Kennedy,” Sheen’s career has all sorts of ties to the Oval Office. Sheen played Bobby Kennedy in 1974’s “The Missiles of October.” He played Nixon’s White House counsel John Dean in the 1979 Watergate miniseries “Blind Ambition.” He narrated 1991’s “JFK.” He played Michael Douglas’ chief of staff in “The American President.” He played “Jack” in 2006’s “Bobby,” about the assassination of Robert Kennedy. And, of course, he played President Jed Bartlet on “The West Wing” for seven years.

The cover art for the old X-MEN dvds is a joke

    by george newman

Those cant be really. that looks like bad fan art. I refuse to believe it as true. Neither FOX nor Marvel would slap such poorly rendered characters on the cover.

Did they make enough episodes to wrap up the series? Or is it like The Pretender that just stopped without resolution?

    My Own Worst Enemy

    by mr incredible

No, they did not finish it. They left it up in the air, without resolution. It would have been nice if they had gotten enough episodes to finish it on DVD (remember DAY BREAK on ABC?),but that's NBC for you.

The X-MEN DVDs are comics, NOT the show.

    by gigantis2000

  • Feb 11, 2009 7:42:33 PM CST

    Oops, accidentally hit enter

    by gigantis2000

The Fox X-Men show is not currently on DVD (well, not legal DVD anyway). The DVDs you are looking at are comic collections. I would've thought somebody would have figured it out since the last time one of these columns had "X-MEN!!" in the heading.

    Repeat:

THOSE X-MEN DVDS ARE NOT THE SHOW, THEY ARE COMICS!!!

Fuck, now that I look at it,

    by gigantis2000

it even says "MARVEL COMIC BOOK COLLECTION" on the fucking cover. That should've given it away. I just don't want any idiots wasting their money on something when they think they're getting something else.
Actually, I take that back. If you're that stupid, then do it. Plus the comics are better than the cartoons.
