Want To Chat With Alex Proyas? Enter The KNOWING Time Capsule Contest!
Beaks here...
In anticipation of Summit Entertainment's sci-fi thriller KNOWING (coming to theaters on March 20th, 2009), AICN is taking part in a multi-site contest will give three of our readers the opportunity to participate in a private online chat with director Alex Proyas. So if you're interested in firing off some questions at the man who gave us DARK CITY, THE CROW and I, ROBOT, give this a read:
DIGITAL TIME CAPSULE Contest
KNOWING begins with the unearthing of a time capsule from 1958, and a cryptic page of numbers revealing an encoded message that predicted every major disaster of the last 50 years...and three events yet to occur.
What would you put in a time capsule to represent you and the year 2009? What do you predict our world will look like 50 years from now?
Help create a digital time capsule and you could win an invitation to attend an exclusive live online chat with director Alex Proyas.
Want in? All you have to do is consider the above and create an original piece of art. It can be pretty much anything: a drawing, a photo, an essay or a video. And when you're satisfied with whatever it is you're slapping together, email it to me (subject header: "KNOWING Contest") at mrbeaks@aintitcool.com. (If it's a video, please send a link to YouTube or wherever you've uploaded it.) By the way, don't feel like you've got to rush: the deadline for entries isn't until March 2, 2009 at 6:00 PM PST.
Once the deadline passes, I'll look over all the entries and pick the three most inspired of the bunch (and I will not be looking for the three that most closely reflect the tone of the film). Those folks will then go on to represent AICN in the online chat (along with fifteen other winners culled from five other websites), which should take place during the second week of March.
For more on KNOWING, check out my exclusive 1:1 with Proyas. Also: here's a link to the theatrical trailer..

If you've any further questions, check out the rules. Here's the short version:
