Esurance brings you a feature on STAR TREK?

Published at:  Jan 31, 2009 2:55:04 AM CST

Hey folks, Harry here... you know those animated Auto Insurance ads in the U.S. that try to make buying insurance online out to being equal to an action spy adventure cartoon? Well, ESURANCE has sponsored a look at J.J. Abrams' STAR TREK. Interesting concept. Whatever the promotion, there's a new look at STAR TREK and it's got some cool glimpses at some stuff that hasn't been in the trailers quite yet. Only problem I have with it is that the video quality is pretty funky. It has little interview nuggets from pretty much the entire principle cast & b-t-s types and really makes you wish for crystal HD clarity. But hey... we get our fix when and where we can...

STAR TREK stuff is beaming here!

i dont want remakes, reboots or reimaginings or prequels.
i want an expand of the star trek universe,a new addition,a change, something new, something fresh.
TNG was great,it sent the franchise to a new direction, why the frank cant continue from there?
Star Trek is about the future, not the past...but i guess money talks.

Hmm it's you who has no idea about the characters..leave it to the professionals to make the movie ok? In his earlier days Spock could be provoked. Almost all the early books had him getting angry and being somewhat emotional. Heck in TOS the dude has a big smile on his face in some episodes.

Is it just me or is the Star Trek brand being licensed out for some really crappy products? Esurance? Really? What the hell does that have to do with anything? I know they have cute commercials (except for that one that features that fat bitch who becomes a cartoon), but is Esurance cool? Does anyone really go to esurance.com and just hang out on the website? And Mattel. Mattel? Seriously? Barbies? Really? Why not get into the "serious collector" crowd and hook up with someone like gentle giant? Does Mattel even make action figures?

given the track record of those involved..tell me why I should think otherwise? Transformers? Cloverfield? The Island? MI3? All Horrible movies.
These guys are the flavor of the moment in Hollywood simply because soccer moms dropped their ritalin doped retard kids off at the theater to watch the mess that was Transformers; that and they got lucky with LOST...a series, I might add, that really is LOST; as these B-stringers had a good idea for season 1...and no chops or plan on how to write farther than that. Search you feelings...you know the FAIL is coming...unless that is, you think the Masturbation goof, or the "Lubricating" robot in TF were comedic gold...this might be right up your alley in that case.
