Us Magazine Reviews Monday’s First HEROES OF 2009!!

Published at:  Jan 29, 2009 12:16:03 AM CST

I am – Hercules!!

Us Magazine has a short look at the first episode of “Heroes’” “Fugitives” arc, written before NBC ordered the firings of senior writers Jeph Loeb and Jesse Alexander.

An excerpt:

… what’s clear is that the show’s complex plots have been severely dumbed down — leading to corny dialogue (sample: “We have to stop them!”) and oh-brother twists that will make viewers yearn for Heroes’ glory days. That said, an intriguing story line involving brain-sucking Sylar (Zachary Quinto)’s quest to find his dad and the Petrelli brothers’ tense dynamic are worthy reasons to hang in there. For now.

The episode airing Monday is 3.14. Star first-season writer Bryan Fuller (“Company Man”) rejoined the show with episode 3.19. There are 25 hours in all this season.

24 for me, too. Also, Hayden Panettiere and/or Ali Larter

    by pennsy

want out of the show, per Michael Ausiello of Entertainment Weekly, but NBC isn't fixing to release one or the other from their deal. If Larter goes, it would be addition by subtraction as she's done jack shit the past season and a half. I believe myself that Hayden is the one itching to leave. She's got "I Love You Beth Cooper", plus a couple of voiceover roles in animated movies in the next 12 months.

Yeah, I reckon it's Hayden (and Fuller)

    by chrth

Larter has to be sleeping with some or all of the staff to still have a job with the show, so I sincerely doubt it's her.
Remember that Fuller also loved the first 3 eps of the next storyline (before it gets muddled again), so let's keep an open mind on the first three weeks.

FWIW, E!Online.com visitors voted Elle's death the absolute

    by pennsy

worst death of a primetime TV character of 2008. Lost's Michael Dawson was a distant second (37.4 to 22.6%). And the lack of any public comment by Bell on the way she was written out of the show suggests she was beyond steamed about it. The writers didn'd just burn that bridge for her to return in season 4 with Sylar's kid in tow (when her movie schedule allowed a return). They napalmed it.

"So it's no different than the beginning of season 3 and all of season 2? And how bad it is that US Magazine finds it "dumbed down" with "corny dialogue"?Pennsy, it's Heroes - they kill off characters for the sole purpose of shocking the audience only to bring them back the very next episode with an explanation not far from "yeah, I was dead but now I'm not". I know there don't seem to be any plans to but they could easily bring her back as an evil twin or shape-shifter who has assumed her form, or a clone, or a ghost, or a version from another time or different dimension, or pull a Twin Peaks and dye her hair brown and say she's Elle's cousin. My bet is they bring her back with no explanation and simply hope everyone forgot she was dead. Two episodes into her return they will say it's too late to try and explain her resurrection as they have leapfrogged that period where it would have made sense and they are now onto new things.

If NBC decided to send Heroes folks to NY Comic Con

    by pennsy

next weekend, that will make for a very interesting - and possibly contentious - Q&A panel discussion. The only actor from the show who's going to be there is Milo Ventimiglia, and he's hawking his Berserker comic book series only, on the Top Cow label. Thing is, does NBC really want brushback considering how south - and sour- things have turned for the show to send anyone there?

Everyone else and their mother covers CHUCK. Only AICN ignores it. Why? It is clearly on purpose... and it has nothing to do with the quality of the show. If it did, they would cover every inch of CHUCK since it is by far the best hour-long comedy on television.

They should use ONE LAST Timeline Jump, and RESET to the end of Season 1--then start from there and DO IT RIGHT THIS TIME.Season 2 did irreparable damage to the characters, the arc, and the interest of the audience. Season 3, 3.5 are attempts to dig out of that hole and get back to the greatness of S1. So just fill that hole with dirt, got back and start from the High point that was S1. I got through about 4 episodes of Season 3...

    by bob loblaw law blog

before deleting HEROES from my DVR's series recordings.I was honestly thinking about giving it one more chance, but if US WEEKLY thinks it sucks... damn (my wife has a subscription, so I get my fill of it...). This is the same magazine that always describes stars' physiques to diets of "lean chicken, fish and veggies!" and reviews every new film , in no more than 100 words. As an example, here is the EXACT TRANSCRIPT of US WEEKLY's full review of "The Wrestler.":

"Onetime sex symbol (and pro boxer) Mickey Rourke (9 ½ Weeks) makes a muscular return as an aging wrestler— he’s scarred, arthritic and half-deaf — who tries to stage a comeback in this character study by art-house director Darren Aronofsky (Requiem for a Dream). Rourke’s riveting, but the cardboard female characters — Marisa Tomei as a stripper love-interest and Evan Rachel Wood as his neglected daughter — weigh the movie down."Yep... HEROES is toast and PUSHING DAISIES is cancelled. Wonderful. Hopefully Bryan Fuller finds another job soon.

I lost interest so quickly, the episodes began to pile up on my DVR. I wouldn't delete them, telling myself I just needed to go back and watch them sans distraction, and I'd be hooked once again.Sadly... that never happened. I just found myself groaning and becoming more disinterested by the minute. It's sad because I love seeing shows out to the very end (hell, I've been an "ER" fan since DAY ONE... and I was teenager back then). But, with HEROES... I'm tapped out.

I wonder if AICN has avoided covering it because (1) it's good and (2) McG is executive producer. The combination of those two factors might be bothersome to certain people.

As far as talkbacks, I'd just prefer a nightly coaxial one. Herc could just post "Hey, here are the cool shows of interest on Monday" and open it up for discussion.

would love to see a post-Watchmen based show

    by br1947

same universe, but modern day. 25 years after the events of Watchmen. Maybe the plot was exposed and made public years later, heroes are hunted down and anarchy reins after the semi-utopian state created by the great lie desintegrates. World is circling the drain, then Dr Manhatten returns. Nite Owl and Silk Spectre resurface to lead a hero resistance. it'd have to be on HBO or Showtime and have a tone similar to BSG to really work.

is well made. Consistently entertaining. Kudos to the cast and crew as it's the type of show that can be very easily screwed up in any number of ways. Not sure it's the type of show that absolutely needs a weekly TB though.

As for Heroes, I'll wait for the Fuller episodes to start and see how that goes. Hopefully he's been given full control.

Still fun to think about. But even tho I'm a fan of Whedon, I wouldn't want him anywhere near a Watchmen related project. His style is too comedic & light. He does some good drama, but only in short bursts punctuated by humor, which just wouldn't work with Watchmen.

    heroes/supernatural

    by wixmmm

To those people who call for a supernatural talkback--I owe you all bigtime. I only gave it a shot because i heard a few TBs say it was great, and then i'd see even more jumping on and reaffirming its greatness. Man, that show just got better and better and hasn't slowed down. Supernatural is a show that knows how to kill a character and bring him back and make it worth it. heroes should take notes. The angels getting involved in supernatural took it to a whole other level. it's supurb. Heroes lost me several times, but the last straw came in the last episode. In the beginning of that episode, nathan wants to give random people powers--who knows how they'll use them. then at the end of episode, he wants to persecute people with powers--except the people he wants to persecute are the ones who have saved the world with him before. Thats when i felt the show just became disrespectful to the viewers. These guys have no fuckin idea what they're doing.

and i always am very slow to critisize showrunners... i mean, its got to be a tough job. However, heroes just makes no sense anymore. they're drunk at the wheel. I wonder if maybe the scripts are too long and they end up cutting parts in order to fit it in an hour timeslot. That is the only reason i can think of to explain the jumbled convoluted mess this show has become. it used to be my favorite on tv. now, it hurts to turn on it and rant about how terrible its become.

    herc/smallville/supernatural

    by wixmmm

howabout a smallville thread??? does herc ever listen to the people here and take their opinions on what they want to talkback about??? The new season of smallville has been fantastic, yet i want a talkback so i can vent my frustration about how lana is killing the best season the show has ever had, by a mile. Would it kill you, herc, to make a smallville and supernatural topic??? the zone does not even come close to cutting it. people talk in the talkbacks... the zone sucks. And, i love chuck as much as the next guy, but its not a 'talkback' kinda show. as it stands now, smallville and supernatural are. Heroes will not be back for a fourth because 24 is going to take all the viewers... in the past heroes could have maybe put up a fight, but everyone is in agreement that heroes is so bad it hurts to watch. it is literally impossible to defend heroes with what they've done to the show. herc, you'll make a talkback for a dumb magazine article about a show everyone has moved on with, yet you refuse to acknowledge that there are some great shows worthy of discussion. Would it kill you to add some new shows into the mix, and let the 'coax column' be twice as long??? as far as coax goes, herc, you have the easiest job in the world, yet i get the sense that almost all the talkbackers know whats worthy of discussion and what's worthy of praise... we're not even asking you to watch and comment about some of these shows-- just give us a forum! as i said, the zone is worthless. some of us don't have friends who watch the shows we do... we're looking for disucssion, grant us that. don't ban me, please.

    Smallville Blows hard

    by lane_myers111

First two seasons were great from then on it is unwatchable if you have an IQ over 90 or are completely willing to accept adolescent school girl mush. Ridiculously annoying characters eg Chloe,Jimmy. Stupid plots that follow exactly the same tired structure and use the same mind numbing plot devices eg memory loss, suddenly finding a way to solve a problem in the last 5 minutes of a show when the previous 40 minutes theyve been drilling it home to the viewer that it was 100% unsolvable. Take the legion episode. 40 minutes giving you the conflict Clark has to choose between Chloe and Billions of lives in the future because there is absolutely no way braniac can be seperated from the host. 5 minutes left "oh hang on if we put our powers together in what appears to be an unbelievably easy way we can do it. Hey we still have a minute left just enough time for the 150th closing scene where we get all mushy and overly sentimental in clarkes barn..cue soft light and go. The show is the very definition of wus out low brow tv.

Only watched legion in its entirety because i thought the time travel aspect might make it interesting and the trailer looked good. I did not reference any other episodes because i genuinely havent seen a complete episode from this latest season. I have downloaded sporadic episodes when they featured a character i had heard of or an end of season cliffhanger but have been 100% disappointed with every one and have not made it beyond 10 or 20 minutes before being turned away by the terrible dialogue, plot devices and overall structure and story. Im not overly familiar with the Superman universe but would be very surprised if an Adult Superman fan of reasonable intelligence would be happy with this shows portrayal of all the iconic superman creations (with the exception of young Lex,i have really enjoyed Michael Rosenbaums work when the scripts were half decent). Aquaman, green arrow,Braniac,Bizarro,Jorrel and supergirl have all been ruined in my opinion.I liked the portrayal of the three Legion characters and the Flash, but the story they were given sucked. Never any WOW moment because everything youve seen, youve seen before with just a slight difference. The sooner this teen rubbish stops, the sooner we can get a more grown up Superman universe. Go watch Richard Donners Superman and imagine a series in the same vein and thats what i want to see.

    Heroes/Smallville

    by lane_myers111

i also think that one of the reasons that Heroes has declined is that starting from season 2 it started leaning ever so slightly towards the Smallville model of superhero story telling.Always about saving the world or the universe with a crystal or a formula rather than having smaller more personal battles or obstacles to overcome. Finally there are shows that are cool and worthy of a talkback and Smallville certainly aint one. You may as well give one to One tree Hill or 90210.

Guilty pleasure. And I AM familiar with Superman lore, Lane (Hmmmm. Lane hates Superboy). Sometimes they get it all wrong, but I enjoy it anyway. As long as they keep the product placement to a minimum (gum anyone?), I'll dvr it and catch up once a month or so. Truth to tell, I've only been watching regularly over the past couple of seasons as they are getting closer to Superman time - I'm curious to see how they do it.

The ONLY way to save Heroes...

    by orbots commander

...is if Fuller did a Crisis on Infinite Earths or Secret Wars universe re-set and started over. That way, you kill off dumb characters and make new, more consistent rules for the Heroes-verse. I haven't watched since the terrible Heroes season 1 finale (all the build-up for a whimper of a smackdown??) and it's sad to see a once promising sci-fi show that has fallen into a ditch and can't seem to get itself out.

Did i say smallville has always been a great show??? no... i NEVER used to look foward to it and most of the time i'd let the episodes accumulate on my computer before i'd get around to watching them. I said that THIS SEASON is worthy of a talkback, and if you've been watching this season, you'd see that it is actually becoming a superman show. the last three episodes have suffered because of the guest starring reappearance of lana, who brings down the show completely. i absolutely hate that they brought her back, even if it only was for a few episodes. But don't tell me its not worthy of a talkback if you haven't seen this season, which is talkback worthy. i have read alot of talkbackers comments and anyone watching the whole season knows it has VASTLY improved because of the loss of lex and lana. If you're uninformed about what's currently happening in a show, don't tell me, or the other people who have seen the huge improvement that its not talkback worthy. who are you to comment and deny the people who watch the show a talkback when you don't have a clue what you're talking about? You are the exact type of judgemental holier than thou talkbacker that i hate-- like telling people its not worthy of a talkback, or like how some people say "just cancel it already!" when there are people out there watching it. How does a talkback or a show's existence negetively impact you? you're just a self centered idiot who likes to bash on things without being informed. I'm 25, read the comics, have a creative writing degree and am in grad school... i did not like smallville and never once praised it, until this season. Your opinion of smallville is based on the bad aspects of the show six years ago. You can't compare THAT show to a CURRENT show... it makes your argument not work. First off, it started as a meteor freak of the week--hardly a 'saving the world' show. Now, there is a bigger arc, and a serious progression moving the character from clark into superman... but 'saving the world plotlines?' it never was that when it started, and it sure as hell isn't that now. you're a tool.

i'll start be saying a few things about your reaction. Lets just say you have some issues to work out. To react so strongly to what is simply a differing opinion over a tv show is pathetic and childish. I dont know how much time and effort the moderators of this site have to spend setting up and maintaining a talk back on a specific show. If its little or no effort then great, they can give you your talk back. If there time is limited then there are alot more shows deserving of a talkback. Smallville is not by any stretch of the word,a cool show. I have read a few posts saying that the show has improved but i fairly stated my opinion that the episodes ive tried to watch have been no different in quality. You ask me "who am i to comment and deny people a talkback". Well im a person who has a right to put forward a fairly stated opinion and im not the one denying you a talkback, im the one saying i completely understand why your being denied. Im assuming that as the moderators of this site dont put forward numerous talkbacks on lots of shows, that they, like most others, have limited time on their hands. I would like to see talkbacks on Dexter and Supernatural but dont think its important enough to come here asking them to do so and abusing people who disagree. You seem like a very immature 25 year old with an unusually strong love of Smallville. Congrats on getting an degree. There must be numerous Smallville talkbacks on the net why not use them. Keep this site for cooler news than "whats happening in Smallville?"..Just reading that sentence makes you realise how incidental this show is. Enjoy your show and calm down when your favourite TV Show is questioned.

you don't have a 'differing opinion' you can't have an opinion on something you haven't watched...from what i read, you're talking about the show six years ago, and one out of context episode. I am passionate, yes, and probably more than i should be, however, what's pathetic and childish is to judge something you are completely ignorant about. i take back one thing: you are correct, you are not denying me or anyone else anything... i'll give you that. But what do you have to gain by saying a show you don't follow doesn't deserve a talkback??? I learned HTML from my mom when i was 11 and the internet was barely anything. i taught myself the programming language of perl and coded my own online roleplaying game and the message boards for it when i was 16, and aside for the simple what you see is what you get layout of the pages, the code that made up the roleplaying game was made from scratch in notepad. I DO know how easy it is... it's actually rediculously simple--the entire structure is already in place. you think they design each and every page??? no, it's a matter of having the priviledge to fill in blanks not unlike how you post a message on a talkback. And space? i gave the solution to that problem--add more shows and make the coaxial column on the right twice as long. problem solved. It takes no time and no effort. You 'assume' that its a matter of the moderator's time... its not, not even a little, and that's one more assumption you make without knowing anything about the matter in question. I also think dexter and supernatural deserve talkbacks and have said as much. And yes, dexter and supernatural are on a whole other level than smallville. But this is a geek site that has a comics section and there is currently a very decent show about superman on the air, and that alone makes it worthy of a talkback. And smallville isn't my favorite show, not even close. Lost is better than ever, Battlestar is going nuts (in a good way) life is good, mentalist is good, house is good, 24 is good now that it looks like it will do what it's done best: show bauer kicking ass, chuck is good, heroes has become so bad its actually funny. All of these shows (aside from heroes) are better than smallville. And fyi, most of the smallville blogs are filled with teenagers, because they make up a big part of the demographic, but they have no opinion worth reading. And i thought i made it clear above that smallville is NOT my favorite show, and that i gave up on it until this season. In your post bashing me, almost all the 'assumptions' you make (and admit you are assuming) are wrong... i watch the show, i've learned how to write programs for websites... you don't watch the show, and you clearly have no idea whatsoever about how easy or difficult it is to make a webpage and keep it running. You see, i 'reacted so strongly' to a 'differing opinion' not because i think you bashed a show i like (but is far from my favorite) but because your opinion is based on assumptions and a few out of context episodes you have seen. That's not much of an opinion at all--i have an opinion, i can back it up, and i don't have to assume anything. I'm angry because you did not 'put foward a fairly stated opinion' you pulled an opinion out of your ass with nothing to back it...this isn't just about you, its about talkbackers like you... i'm hardly worked up about one person here, you just fit the bill of the talkbacker who thinks they have an opinion about something they know nothing about, and because they know nothing about it, they have no business saying a damn word about it.

also, if you read my initial post, the reason i wanted a talkback was so i could vent my frustration about them bringing back the show-killer lana for a guest starring arc. as it happens, i ended up venting that frustration off on you... its the internet and its where i come to bitch, but it's also where i come to share and exchange opinions with people who watch shows my real friends don't...

there's actually a real reason i go online to bitch-- i have schizo-effective disorder... i have to literally (and i mean it when i say literally) bite my tongue way too many times a day in the real world... aintitcool or green bay packers blogs or milwaukee brewers blogs let me just vent that anger and let all my mood swings come out... all that shit i work so damn hard to keep hidden on a minute to minute basis in the real world... this is where i let it out... and it works. i act immature at times, i act pretensious at times, i let my emotions get the best of me-- but you know what? in the real world i do not let any of the shit going on in my head perceptible to a soul, even a little. Believe me, if you had a life like mine, you would understand how valuable it is to have a place where you can let your mind do what it wants and not have any reprecussions for things you say, or for the manner in which you say them. so, immature? possibly. do i have issues? most definately

Look,i hope you get your talkback. i didnt make any assumptions whatsoevr about the time or effort it takes to create a talk back. I said if its easy then great they should do it. if its not then no they shouldnt. I freely admit that my internet knowledge extends to finding what i want to read, buy or download. You seem to like to brag a lot but hey if u have the skills then why not. If its so easy then have u thought about why they dont do it? .Mr Knowles and his crew have an image of the site they like to maintain and maybe a smallville talkback is not part of that.Do you think you answered your own question? Smallville is a show aimed at Teens which is why those boards you visit are full of views that dont interest u? We actually have very similar opinions of the other shows you named. Just not this one.I watched seasons 1 and 2 in there entirity. Most of Season 3 and by 4 couldnt take the monotonous stories
i have watched selected episodes from 5,6,7 and tried to watch from 8 Always disappointed. Why i still bother i dont know. I want it to be good. Im aware of the monster of the week criticism of the first seasons. But when they did try and give us story arcs we got the Indian caves,Lana The witch, those stupid artefacts.Dont you find it annoying when clark speeds away from someone and they dont even say hey thats weird. He was here and now hes gone in less time than he could have possibly got out of site. Have they explained why chloe is a computer genius who seems to be able to access any information in the world from her computer. There are numerous things i find annoying. Had lex really become that annoying that people wanted him gone? For me he was the best thing in the early show.

as a matter of fact i agree with you on EVERY SINGLE thing you said was terrible with smallville, in fact, your list reminds me of how terrible it used to be... i will NEVER defend a single thing about seasons 1-7, and that's just the truth. But if you use torrents you might want to check out season 8 from the beginning... it could suprise you. if you watch those episodes, and come back telling me it still doesn't work, i wouldn't have a single negetive response to you whatsoever. an opinion is one thing, but an informed opinion is something else entirely. you will never see me bash a single person who has watched what i have watched just because we may disagree. i have never done that and never will. no lie. i also never point out bad spelling... in large part because i cannot spell to save my life in text messaging, and people know i was an english major, so its actually quite embarrassing. i also don't write talkbacks carefully enough to make sure my grammar and spelling are up to par. only a douche and a tool jumps on someone for grammar or spelling in a message board.

and actually there is a reason chloe has crazy computer skills... sorry if you actually did plan on watching this season, but i'll just tell you--brainiac download part of himself into chloe. As i said before, i really wanted the talkback to bitch about what they have been doing wrong since the break. I'm pissed because lana reappears, and in a matter of months she has learned to a) become a world class detective b) become a world class computer hacker, c) became a fighter who could take down two big and trained henchmen d) was taught how to withstand torture as well as the most hardend soldies. and the icing on the cake came this week, with her getting an invisible suit that gives her superpowers. I am so pissed because the first half was brilliant, mainly because lex and lana were out of the picture. this guest starring lana story arc is destroying what they had been doing so well, and it is hurting the series' best season ever with her mere presence. i just want her gone so we can go back to what was so damn good about the first half of the season.

Chloes ridiculous computer skills have been going back to nearer the beginning. She seems to be able to trace or find any piece of information she wants on anyone and this was even back when she was on the chronicle but got ridiculous when she got to the daily planet. In regards to the legion episode. The overall message of the episode was that Superman never gives up and will always find a way to save every life. I have a massive issue with this idea in any story but also the way it was played out. If you concede that the main character is always going to solve a problem and never have to face loss through making a difficult choice then hes never going to be defined. Surely as pure and good as Superman is,He must at sometime have to weigh up the lives of the few against the lives of the many. They create this decision where its chloe or billions and then solve it with a pathetic light show in the last five minutes.Just seemed a massive cop out.

i'll say this: brainiac putting himself in chloe worked well. but anything before that regarding, well, ANYTHING, falls under my opinion that i will never defend anything about season 1-7. As far as clark having to make the tough decision, that exact issue is addressed by green arrow, who in season 8 gives clark more than a few tongue lashings about how clark needs to man up and start to be the man he needs to become, and has the potential to become. But this has always been an issue with the character of superman. in the comics, batman and superman are 'friends' but on many occasions batman drops some big truth bombs on him and expresses alot of frustration for superman's tendancy to be so stubborn with his morals. In the New Krypton arc i just read today, superman sits by lois' bedside while she is injured and spends a ton of time with martha because of his father being killed by braniac. Meanwhile, 100,000 kryptonians have been introduced into earth, yet superman decides to stay with lois and martha when the world needs him more than ever. so, that's just superman--he's too sentimental, too much of a boyscout, too much of an optimist... well, he's too much of alot of things. And as for the legion episode--i can't really say much bad about it mainly because i worship the ground geoff johns walks on and he always seems to have his hand in anything worth reading that dc puts out. I guess the 'wrapping things up nice and tidy' is all too often the problem with smallville, but this season he has to face doomsday, and you know something bad's gonna happen to lana and i think they'll start to shy away from the neat and tidy plot device... at least that's how it looked like based on the first half of the season.

    how many times

    by imascooby1985

can Sylar be killed? I liked the character and all, but he has had TWO fake deaths in just one arc. First with HRG cutting his throat and now apparently Claires killing him didnt take. Dammit! Im sticking with 24 and catching Heroes on On Demand the next day.

because half of this talkback is about that ridiculous Superman show that no one I know -- save my 40-year-old aunt -- even watches.

    Gsticking on Monday

Folks who say Heroes was only good the first half of season one have a poor memory or never really watched. The first half of the debut year was a slow paced snoozefest while they tediously introduced the cast. if got good in the second half of the year, though a lot of fans were disappointed by the finale.Heroes was always a mainstream entry level super-hero-lite comic. an unexceptionally average copy of Marvel 2-in-1, bound to disappoint anyone tuning in expecting Watchmen. But people who expected Heroes to be a mature intellectual examination of superheroics in a real world setting probably are still whining that Mighty Morphing Power Rangers stopped being sexy after the original Pink and Yellow Rangers quit.I actually logged in to see if there was any mention of the reported difficulties people in some areas have been having finding the required 3-D glasses for tonight's special 3-D Chuck episode. Lots of Chuck love here, but no mention of the fact that you won't be able to watch tonight's episode without the new improved process special glasses. good news for House, I suppose. (The Chuck ep airs in 2-D on line at NBC.com (and probably Hulu) starting February 3rd.)Personally, I'm just glad that National finally wised up and put their two super-hero shows on back to back: their juvenile kids show Heroes and the somewhat more realistic, mature and compelling examination of someone with psychic abilities in a pseudo-real-world setting, Medium. (Plus, for the pederasts and pervs who like their sex symbols short, blonde and pouty, Sofia Vassilieva is hotter than Hayden Pantyarea ever was or ever will be. Not that I'd notice, but I have deviant friends.)

do the Real D glasses work?

    by turketron

Not that I watch chuck, but are these the type of glasses that work with the type of 3d that NBC uses? I found the glasses too late last night so I wasn't able to test them on the 3d superbowl commercials. I got the glasses when I went to see My Bloody Valentine 3d.

    Re: 3D glasses

    by stlost

Yeah, I looked at a Target and a local grocery chain and couldn't find the glasses. I said screw it I'm not running around looking for the stupid things. Then I saw the 3D crap during the super bowl (without glasses) and was like "Oh crap, I'm gonna have to watch Chuck in all this blurry mess". If it's blurry tonight then I'll just catch it in Hulu.com.

"Chuck" is my 2nd favorite show (behind "Lost"). I might skip out on "Heroes" because I'm just not that excited to see its return.
