Live in Chicago? Want to see FANBOYS with a post-screening Q&A with director Kyle Newman? Capone has the details!!!
Hey everyone. Capone in Chicago here.
I'm about to head out of town during the first week of February, so I won't be planning any screenings in Chicago until I get back. That being said, when my Butt Numb-a-Thon next-seat neighbor Kyle Newman emailed me with this opportunity to invite a few AICN reader to a screening of his long-delayed film FANBOYS, I couldn't resist. I saw the very funny FANBOYS at Comic-Con last July, and the film is finally making it to theaters on February 6 for the world to judge for itself whether the long wait, reshoots, and fans rallying against a lame edit done by the studio have all been worth it. Kyle has set aside 20 seats for a private Chicago early screening of FANBOYS on Monday, February 2, 7:00pm, at a theater in downtown Chicago (only winners will be notified of the location). And best of all, Kyle will be on hand for a post-screening Q&A. It kills me that I won't be able to make this event or be able to throw a full-fledged AICN event around a screening of it. But I really did want to put Chicago readers in the room with Kyle and FANBOYS, so I've devised this little mini-contest for all of you die-hard STAR WARS fans. Plus Kyle wants to guarantee there will be at least a few geeks in the crowd!
To win one of the 20 seats for this Chicago FANBOYS event, email me at capone@aintitcoolmail.com. The subject line should read "FANBOY, I AM!" In the body of the email, I need your full name (no guests for this contest, folks, sorry), as well as the answer to the following question: If you broke into the Skywalker Ranch, what would be the first thing you'd steal and why? Keep your answer to less than 75 words.
The contest will last 24 hours after the time it posts (meaning at 3:07 CST Sunday afternoon, this contest is done). If there is even the slightest chance you will have to bail on this event if you win, please don't enter. You will literally be keeping somebody else from attending, and I'll probably be forced to ban you from all future contests I do. I'll send the 20 winners' names directly to Kyle, who will pass them on to the people running the event. Each of the winners will receive an email from me no later than Monday notifying you that you have a seat for FANBOYS. I think that about covers it. Good luck, folks. And may the force be with you.

Fanboys will truly, indisputably see the light of day. Must be, because Kristen Bell will be on Jimmy Kimmel Live next week and Craig FErguson's show on 2/6 (which probably will be taped this week). Can't wait. :)

So after years of delays the movie is finally coming out with a limited release......it sucks that alot of people will not be able to see this thing until the dvd release. And if the Weinstains have their way the fucker will come out in, oh I don't know, 5 years from now.
