PRISON BREAK Cancelled!! Moore's VIRTUALITY Recut!! J.J.'s FRINGE ‘A Keeper’!! News From Fox Network TCA Panel!!
I am – Hercules!!
Fox entertainment president Kevin Reilly told the Television Critics Association tour what his netlet is up to:
* “Prison Break” is cancelled. “The show is just played out,” said Reilly. Its last episodes will take over the Friday “Termintor” timeslot April 17. (I don't watch the show, but I bet in the series finale they finally get out of prison!)
* “Virtuality,” the space-set sci-fi pilot from Ron Moore that has not yet received a series order, is being recut. “It’s a little dense,” said Reilly.
* “Boldly Going Nowhere,” the outer-space comedy pilot from the team behind “It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia,” may be going nowhere. Fox has ordered its pilot reshot.
* Reilly calls “Fringe,” which is getting a post-“American Idol” slot “a keeper,” perhaps implying a second-season renewal.
* On “Dollhouse”: “… we’re going to let the show play out for 13 episodes ... if we can do some business there it will be a great thing for the future.”

Rocks!!
-
There was only so much they could have done after breaking out of prison.
-
also Prison Break was only meant for one season - so not bad
-
Oh dear, never saw it, any good?
-
So continues the trend that the first post has absolutely nothing to do with the article at hand.
-
PB was a lame duck after season two and neutering T-Bag
-
Let's hope they get a chance to bring the show to a satisfying end. It would be a shame if they let it end with a cliffhanger. I mean, we all know that Season 2 would have been the perfect ending, but just because the show ran 2 seasons too long, it doesn't mean that it doesn't deserve a real ending.
-
where's it gone?

fuck you fox Prison break was just getting good again
by indyabbey jones
seriously, fuck you fox and nice to see you just burn off the last episdoes on fridays..reall nice treatment of a show that was once your ratings darling...faggots
-
Cancelled in *whatever*
-
Granted, I didn't catch up with most of the episodes until the Christmas holidays because I was watching Heroes on Monday nights instead, but season 4 is pretty entertaining. Hopefully they give it a satisfying end.
-
Now go get Denethor some French onion soup!
-
It's FIREFLY REDUX!
-
Maybe if he made something really good, it would merit staying on TV, maybe even a non-Friday timeslot.
Don't understand why everybody on this site puts the kneepads on for him. -
- I mean Fox???
-
Everything's "a little dense" when you're as dumb as a box of rocks.
-
Prison Break Rocked. I think they struggled with a story for season 2 & 3 seeing how they didn't plan to keep going. But this season has really turned out to be great. And as for DollHouse. Hopefully it's all I hope it is. Wheadon was been put on a pedestal. But I guess we'll wait and see, cause if it is truly a great show fox will cancel it in a season
-
sorry but you're talking about fox who cancelled a multi(as in double digit) award winning show. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DeFV5GprfaQ
-
As it's been one of the consistently entertaining shows going at the moment! They better cap it off with a damned good ending, it'll suck if it's cancelled without a conclusion like so many other Fox 'ass-raped' shows!
-
As a huge fan of It's Always Sunny, i'm kinda bummed to see that those buttfucks at Fox are messing with the show. I wish they'd stop thinking they know what good TV is.
-
The only show I watch! Glad it will get picked up.
-
Prison Break is gone. Fox says they will "let" Dollhouse play out 13 episodes.
They really know how to sell their shit, don't they? -
NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO! Why oh why was the worse tv show on tv let go! Nooooooooo!
-
out after the first season, but kept milking it, but cancel shows (take your pick, theres SO many)that showed great promise after a few airdates..thats SO Fox...BTW when will the Andy Richter Universe DVD set come out??
-
Did this show suddenly get good, or has it just become one of those "it" shows that everyone decides to like without being able to explain why? I watched the first four episodes (I was hoping it would turn into another X-Files) and I thought the acting was horrible, the characters were completely unlikable (especially the lead chick) and had no chemistry, and the plots were only so-so. Has that changed?
-
Prison Break was soooooo played out. The entire premise of Season 4 required a massive suspension of disbelief - it just stretched credibility too far. And most of season 4 - so much double crossing, back stabbing, unbelievable alliances, characters returning from the dead, etc etc etc. Its just too much. I could stomach season 3 but it should have ended then.
-
but are trapped in the metaphorical prison of the heart.
-
so I guess that means that Dollhouse will not get cancelled until after Episode 14
-
prison break should always have been a limited run series...
-
...Fringe suddenly got VERY good after the first handful of episodes. The last four especially were top-notch sci-fi mystery.
-
Then I'll be happy. I always saw this season as the final one anyway, it's stretching a lot of my suspension of disbelief with this season and it seems to be coming towards a natural conclusion. Didn't think there would be anyway to do a fifth without it being fukcing ridiculous.
-
I have watched the show from day one and I did think this year was an improvement over last year, but I think the show has lost it teeth. Really, T-Bag is a characature of himself. The plots are farfected even for this show that played it loose with reality. There have been more misteps in reboots than Alias had.
Let them take down the company and end the show. I feel they broke out of prison far too quickly (they could have drawn it out over two season) and never had a gameplan past season two. And it showed last year. -
Just want to know. Where are we all meeting for the boycott?
-
It is the only new show I watch this year, but it is still average to slightly above average. It wants to think it is breaking new ground in SCIFI, but it is kinda watered down X-Files. They should also put Pacey and John Noble to the forefront of the show since they are the only interesting characters in the bunch. I find Anna Torv to be too bland and too much of a downer.
-
....Prison Break had already been canceled? I heard this was their last season and there were allowed to film a series finale. They were really considering bringing it back for another season? How is that possible? Just let them end it with a bang. I hope they do anyway....
-
That sounds like code for "a little more intelligent than we give the American public credit for". God forbid a show should ever be dense or complex.
-
the advertising agencies figure are the only people stupid enough to want to buy the crap being advertised
-
This show has the potential to be as big as the X Files was in its day.
Shame about Prison Break. William Fitchner has been awesome.
Hope he gets on a tv show that ISN'T cancelled ! -
Because Firefly was an awesome show as almost anybody who has actually watched the whole series will say. Unfortunately, FOX did not allow the first episode which led to an awkward show opener, then aired things out of order which led to not watching the characters develop properly (which they did do btw), and then prematurely canceling the show. Now I don't know if Dollhouse will be good or not, but before it's even hit the air it has had to have a new pilot, been assigned the same friday night death slot, and been paired with a show that most people don't seem to respect that much...so I think it's fair to say that FOX has pretty much shit all over Whedon before his show even gets a chance. There are much crappier things on that channel that could go on Friday night and allow Dollhouse a chance. Instead, FOX has essentially said Fuck You to Mr. Whedon again.
-
... if Prison Bore is taking over it's time slot two months after it comes back from hiatus? There are ten episodes left in the season, and by my count, unless they decide to air some back to back, they would only be able to put out 8 eps before the other show took over. What the hell Fox... Terminator doesn't need any more dead weight attached to it. God I hate you Fox, I hate you so much I'd give myself ulcers if I wasn't popping Tums like candy every time I thought about you.
-
one can still count on Fox treating their shows like crap. I'm not too upset about PB though, that one should've ended a long time ago.
-
i say that in a selfish way because im loving it and i want to see it continue. it does start out slow but is getting better every episode. the half-season finale was excellent. it's first season so far has been a lot stronger than x-files first season.
-
You know, I realize that television IS a business, but that kind of characterization really shows why Fox mostly sucks.
-
I stopped after the first three episodes
-
Yeah, the messed up Firefly. Royally. But they're giving Dollhouse their full support and the benefit of a doubt. 13 benefits to be exact. From what I can understand, the problems with Dollhouse stem directly from Whedon's mismanagement of subpar writers that he hired. Nothing to do with Fox there. If Dollhouse goes for 13 episodes and gets cancelled after bringing in no new audiences to Fox, I'll still applaud them for paying for half a season.
-
Whether the show is good or not, they should have stuck with FX.
-
I think far more people on this site strap 'em on for JJ Abrams than they do Whedon.
-
I know that was supposed to be a joke, but to what end?
-
Always has been and will continue to be. Those FOX episodes were just a few censored reruns to cover up a few holes in their schedule leading up to a season premiere on FX.
-
You know FX is owned by Fox, right? Right?
-
love the chick, she defies stereotypes and has a lot of nuance...
amazing that two of the three lead actors are aussies, and the other is a canuck!
seriously, let's give it a chance – it's gonna get good. -
thought it was really getting stronger and very curious how its going to play out
-
it's first season so far has been a lot stronger than x-files first season.
Are you serious? The pilot episode of the X-files has been better than the entire season of Fringe so far.
I like the show, but it's no X-files. -
That's why the gave it a Friday time slot as the Terminator series as the lead in. A crappy show slipping in the ratings. They will fuck it up just like Firefly.
-
a smug prick.
-
A little dense?! I assume that's tv exec code for "we think it's too intelligent for fox viewers".
-
Prison Break had overstayed its welcome and should have ended after season three (and even that was a bit of a stretch, 'scuse the pun).
-
Meaning he's a frakking borderline douchebag. Or at least that the way he sounds. HEY SUITS HERE A NOTE: We LOVE DENSE SCIFI especially Moore's DENSE SCIFI. Idiots
-
When is "Hell's Kitchen" coming back anyway? Also, Herc you must have an opinion about the ringers in the upcoming season of 'Survivor'????
Unload with both barrels plzthx ☺ -
No, Kevin. I'm certain it's you who's the dense one. Though why Ron Moore thought he could get a sci-fi drama even half as intelligent as BSG on Fox is a mystery.
-
The WB canceled Angel.
-
survivor ringers? got a link?

"Joss Whedon's new show, has undergone reshoots and rewrites, but Reilly now says the show is where he wants it to be creatively. "Joss has done his thing," he said. "I want him to just do his show. We had a couple of false starts, and then, frankly, we just left him alone."
The news that they left him alone - most likely after the third ep, according to Diane Walden (Fox) - makes me feel a bit better. I was really pissed that they had him tone down the mythology - and now Moore and his fans are going through the same thing. Stupid note givers.
Also noted on other coverage on whedonesque[dot]com, the first 5 episodes are standalones and the sixth delves into mythology, almost like another pilot, according to Joss. -
where's the evidence for this? From everything I've read, it's a case of the studio needing the show to be more accessible and Joss ultimately argreeing with them.
-
but as a huge x-files fan that was ready to write off Fringe, I'm really finding myself enjoying it. i guess i shouldnt say things like one is better than the other because they're from different atmospheres. But I think X-philes should really give it a chance.
-
So of course the ratings have been lower. Quality is never rewarded on TV. I bet 24, which is about 2 for 6 in good seasons, runs for another 3 years though.
-
I fully agree with the studio heads on this one. Season four has been very played out. I hope the show ends on a satisfying note, because otherwise Prison Break has been a very entertaining show.

Maybe I used a bad choice of words,
but *2* professional models and grammy-nominated singer? Doesn't seem very 'sporting' to me. Link has obnoxious inviso-text but you're used to THAT! ;) -
So...*3* models and a grammy-nominated singer lol
-
because I don't want the American Idiot Karaoke to get one more post, I'm putting it here. According Michael Schneider of Variety magazine: "Idol's Wednesday edition will move to 9PM once the show reverts to its in-studio competition phase. That means new drama Lie to Me, which is initially airing behind Idol on Wednesdays at 9, will slide down to 8."
Which means that cancer of a show will be head-to-head against Lost. Goddamn Fox to hell. -
What does that bullshit even mean?
-
They don't have much left on the schedule nor much coming down the pike. Good god is Fringe a terrible show.
s not that surprising Fringe sucks donkey balls.
-
After listening to Kevin Smith talk about his adventures in Hollywood with his Superman script pitch, and the reasons Joss Whedon was given for reshooting the pilot for Firefly... I'm betting that Virtuality was written for people with above room temperature IQs, which leaves out most, if not all, network and studio execs.
-
Damnit.
-
it was excellent, watched a bit of season 2 and found it hard to suspend my belief that prisoners were up against the fricking president of the untied states. you break out of prision. end of fricking show. but noooo fox likes to beat a dead horse, whilst shows that actually have promise they cut the fucking legs off. fucking fox you bunch of hairy ballsack exec cunts!
-
Why the writers, producers, etc. don't just LIMIT the serious to a set amount of seasons (e.g. PB should have been a 2-season show and that's it). Ok, I guess I get the advertisting part - just play it out until no ones willing to pay anymore. I get that. But I think we'd have much stronger shows, AND viewership, if a show, from the beginning, was announced as a 1, 2 or 3 season show and that's it. No more. HEROES? 3 seasons. After that, no more. The story is told and after that we move on to a different show, new writers, etc. LOST could have been wrapped up in 4 or 5 seasons. Yes, it's still the ratings darling, but there were plenty of filler episodes. Writers might actually get more creative knowing they have a limited run, rather than waiting on the networks to tell them to wrap it up. As upset as people were, look how good FIREFLY turned out. A limited run but damn each show was just about perfect. And SERENITY capped it off. Yes, they could have drug it out over a few seasons, but it might have gotten a bit ponderous when it wasn't necessary. Enough with the season after season. Plan it out and be done with it and move on.

"Played out". "If we can do some business here".
Fox promotions would be kindly asking this guy to stop talking.
Am also not convinced that Dollhouse will play for 13 eps unless Whedon has photos of Fox Execs in comprimising positions i.e. sacrificing virgins to appease their Dark Lord .....yeah Cheney
-
I'm disappointed in you guys fo'reels.
-
I enjoyed the show greatly and will be there to see it's culmination. Thank you.
-
That is all.
-
The second was ok, but when it ended with them ending up in another prison... Ok, I can only take so much. I returned this season and while it's been entertaining, the whole micheal's brain disease plot line has been annoying. As well as the whole "Hey it looks like everything's finally gonna work out for us? Oh wait no it isn't, we've been double crossed" plotlines are getting old as well. I mean is anyone really looking for them anymore? Micheal, get a boat. Head to an island, and start banging your hot doctor. Trust me, it's much better than exposing a secret organization.

Close your eyes Prison Break, it'll all be over soon.
by boogalooshrimp
1st season- pretty good at first but you had to try to keep liking it, waiting for some payoff.
2nd-Excellent trash, peak of the series! Every cheap plot twist was thrown in for the hell of it.
3rd-A fucking cartoon. and not in the good 'Superjail' kinda way.
4th-Quick flashes of gratification, but for the final season of a seriealized show, inexcusable.
A twenty minute writers meeting every year could have helped this. Why was Lincoln framed for murder again?...ya know. Some fun action here and there, but none of it came close to 24's third ep. Holy shit. One of the finest action sequences filmed for television I've ever seen. -
6-13 episode seasons where the creators run the show. They do it SO well. The shows are better written and they leave you wanting more. Hell they even give you holiday episodes!
-
Just take a shot after someone said "Scylla" you would be testing death every episode.
-
Get rid of the crazy ass old man!... I love the actor but his crazy ass is the only reason I dislike the show. I mean it's scifi so kill him off, but put his memories into his son somehow. Bingo Bango you got yourself a determined FBI agent (ie Mulder), with a smart smooth talking male lead who'd have all of the secrets you need locked in his head (ie Scully after abduction). We already got our black Skinner! I mean does anyone truly like the old guy? He's the reason the show will become formulaic and burn out, I'm telling you now!
-
And why shouldn't it work?!?! The chick already shares memories with her x lover who is still alive it would be easy to mix the 2 minds together and do exactly what you say. brilliant.
-
Really, how many straight out action shows are there on tv these days? Not many. This season has made great use of it's outdoor scenes making the show feel somewhat movie like. At it's worst, this show was still light years ahead of every other CSI clone or law/medical show. I for one will miss it.
-
T-Bag moves into a snooty upscale neighborhood as a registered sex offender. Wacky antics ensue! Coming to FOX this fall!
-
The ratings have been bad since forever, so it's done well to last this long.
Bizarrely I think the show's biggest problem is being called "Prison Break" when they've only really spent less than a season and a half in an actual prison. It's made the show into a joke for some people.
Still, the whole thing has felt like it was building up to a conclusion this season anyway. So hopefully this will give the creators time to actually finish the story off and give it a satisfying ending.
I just hope T-Bag can have a good final few episodes. He needs to go back to being his badass self from season 2 where he could kill people even with only had 1 hand. -
the 'prison' they were trying to break was the government. or the dude with scylla. boo to the shit who canceled it.
-
silly as plots. lots of fun.
-
silly ass plots. lots of fun.

Are you drunk or just retarded? May he warm your ass.

...qualified to comment on this very American matter, but it seems to me that whoever is in charge of programming at Fox is, how can I put this, a bit of a cock.Or have I got the wrong end of the stick here?
-
After that they ran out of ideas. So the cancellation is okay, imho. And who cares when A V A T A R hits our very cinemas this year?
-
You are absolutely correct.Fox execs = Torgo's Executive Powder
-
Maybe the show isn't too intelligent for us. Maybe we are too intelligent for the show FOX want us to watch.
DAMM FOX. -
He put FX on the map (gonna argue against The Shield, Nip/Tuck, Rescue Me?), and his resume includes some other quality stuff. He's certainly done more than the buffoon who replaced him at NBC.If neither he nor the Sunny guys can be successful within the confines of network TV, that can't entirely take ALL the blame.
-
That it is really really p!sh. It is actually embarrasingly to watch it is so bad but I keep watching hoping it will get better although it is only half way through in the UK although it has disappeared from the schedules - not sure if noone watched or if it is just the xmas break.
-
walter is one of the reasons why fringe is worth watching. and dont you forget it
-
It's not at all interesting and when it's over there's nothing left and you wonder why you even bothered watching in the first place.

"Prison Break" was played out after the 1st season...
by jackpumpkinhead
I actually grabbed a few episodes of its seasons 3 & 4 a few weeks ago, to see how far it deteriorated after the really decent original season. Such pain to even fast forward through, ugh...
-
...they both employ the same sort of non-logic. Fortunately, the guys who made GILLIGAN knew it was a comedy.
-
we had some fun times we had some sad times now you one monkey off my back i hope to never see again.
I still think it should have been a one season show. -
But outside of their usual douchery in short shifting new series (Wonderfalls, Drive, etc.), they have taken chances that the "Big 3" either didn't want to take a chance on, or would know how to promote. Name another network that has 4 primetime animated series on the air, 3 of which hits, 1 an icon for the ages. Look at all the attempts to mine an X-File type show, but none matching that series brilliance. Despite their mishandling of Arrested Development, they did give it time to try to pick up ratings (at least NBC keeps 30 Rock in the same time slot...opposite CSI, morons). Andy Richter, Get A Life, etc. were at least given a network to air a season or two of surreal brilliance that wasn't available on ABC, NBC, or CBS. So cut Fox a little slack. Not much, mind you, but a little.
-
Fringe fucking sucks, Prison Break fucking sucks, Firefly fucking sucked, and Arrested Development?? It got cancelled because:
a) It wasn't funny.
b) It sucked
c) No one watched it -
Jan 14, 2009 9:33:44 AM CST
You can argue whether or not you can kill a kid in a Superman
by big jim
movie, but on Prison Break they have no qualms about it.
-
You suck. That is all. (Except why didn't you throw LOST into your list as well, since you apparently think that EVERYTHING sucks)
-
I really enjoy this show and think it can really evolve into something great, but it definately (a) needs to limit Anna Torv - who is by far the weakest link in the show and (b) needs to advance 'The Pattern' plotline ... make it a detective show involving the 'supernatural' ... not an inpenetrable supernatural show that involves some detectives.
-
Speaking of prisons, I just heard of the death of the best prisoner, Patrick McGoohan.
-
But Chadley BeBay takes the cake.
You are the only human that thinks A.D. wasn't funny. Maybe 2 1/2 Men is more your speed, or Home Improvement.
Agree on your first three points, however. -

Lets remember Prison Break for its excellent first season
by burgerking
For all the faults of the last two, the first season is a great standalone season with a wicked ending.
-
I saw the pilot, liked it, but don't want to commit cause Fox could pull the plug at any moment, I'll let it get a season or two down, watch them on DVD then maybe follow along.
-
Getting rid of him would kill the show. He's fantastic, fascinating, heartbreaking. The actor is amazing. Plus, he's an awfully convenient exposition machine, which this show desperately needs. Prison Break? I'm glad it's ending. This season has been the best since the first season, but this is not one of those shows that should go on. These characters can only take so much more. They should give it a good ending and send it on its way.
-
With Michael Scofield finally taking the massive dump he's been struggling with since the start of Season 1. Then he comes out of the toilet and expresses a full range of emotion! Like an actor!

The Company become more absurd with every passing season
by wuher da brewer
I can understand then wanting to screw Lincoln when the father became anti-company. To think now, that their mother might be alive and she let the company use Lincoln and put him on death row in the first place is just too much of an absurd twist. Trying to recruit Michael via brainwashing is stretching it too. Whoever said Michael's brain disease was boring, was dead right.

Fringe is cool, Prison Break used to be good, Firefly rocked...
by sappers forward
Thank God they cancelled Prison Break. When the show was actually about them being in prison, it was cool. After that, I was like, "What's the point? This sucks.". Fringe seems cool. Lance Reddick, John Noble, and Joshua Jackson are cool. The lead FBI chick is questionable. For God's sake, please hire a tech advisor for the tactical scenes. Can we just be a tiny bit realistic? Someone on this thread mentioned Firefly. Bring that back. I just finished watching the series on hulu.com. That's good stuff. Wish there were more episodes. I really like the short commercial breaks for Fringe, that alone is worth the price of admission. I'm not really looking forward to "Lost" due to the fact that even when FF'ing through commercials on the DVR it takes forever.
-
Only because of Walter, though -- though I like the creepy boss and the creepy Massive Dynamics lady. But for some reason I find it much harder to suspend my disbelief with Fringe than I do with Lost -- even though Lost's plot points are more impossible than Fringe's. With Lost I go "wow!" and with Fringe I usually go "oh, come ON."
-
...if TPTB ever try and do a Lost/Fringe crossover, that will totally break the fourth wall for me and I will be fucking furious.
-
Tired of that garbage being rehashed every year.

CBS TCA press tour news: Swingtown axed, NCIS spinoff on the way
by pennsy
Here's the scoop: http://tinyurl.com/9ao2j8.
-
The pilot is okay, but it ain't nothin' to wake the kids for.My biggest complaint is that it just looked "cheap" production wise. I'm going to assume it didn't have the budget of Lost or Fringe, or even BSG, but with an established name like Whedon behind it, I'd expect better production value than Smallville, or even Buffy for that matter.
-
...that Prison Break went back to them in prison during the third season, right? It seems that almost all of you gave up midway through season 2.
-
or chock full of stuff?
also I think everyone is in agreement that Prison Break is well due (if not overdue) for an ending - remember this was meant to last TWO seasons! -
I'm pretty sure Fox KNOWS that it is still the most downloaded show on them internets - obviously they still haven't figured out how to profit from something like that...
-
"A little dense"? You mean you actually have to pay attention to get what's going on? That's exactly the kind of show I was hoping it was. You better not kill this thing, Fox. My most anticipated pilot of this year.
-
That show is very played out. I didn't see it as ever being better than the second season anyway. The funny thing is that the story didn't lose momentum after they broke out of LITERAL prison. The metaphoric prison of presidential conspiracies, etc. is just not as interesting and I couldn't watch more than half an episode after they started tacking on more and more threads every episode without tying up previous ones.
-
Was that going to be on Fox or FX?
"Reshoot your pilot." Harsh. -
I can't stand "Fringe." The first three episodes of that show were so bad, so utterly stupid, and so incompetent that I'll never be able to stomach future stories. Anna Torv is a show-killingly bland actress. If her characterless character dies, I'll maybe consider watching it again.
The show I'm abolutely gung ho for is "Virtuality." The showrunner for "Battlestar Galactica," the director of "Hancock," and the writer of many of Battlestar's best episodes? Hell yes! I cannot wait.
Also, after reading about some of the plotlines for "Virtuality," involving rape and mind-shredding brutality, I'm not surpised the Fox executives asked for a recut. They like family fun, not ass-kicking, thought-provoking, mind-warping science fiction.
God, I can't wait for this. -
Show1 is great: Pacey and his mad dad (the dad the best comic-timing and delivery - superb actor.
Show2 is awful: Poe faced wooden TV version of Cate Blanchett - her script makes that even worse. Then there's the man i like to call (in shouty-trailer cancer voice) 'TV CAGE' > yes, he's TV's very own poor stand-in for Nic Cage. Everytime he appears i have to shout 'TV CAGE'. His affected delivery never fails to crack me up). The show even makes the guy from The Wire seem tedious. Don't get me wrong, i love watching John Noble so much i'm glad it's staying, but sort out 'Show2' already> Poe-faced introspection is so 90's - this ain't the X-Files. -
its nice.

The first three eps are nothing compared to the later ones.
