Broken Lizard Serves Up A Red-Band Trailer For THE SLAMMIN' SALMON!
Beaks here...
The Broken Lizard boys are back with their fourth motion picture extravaganza, and it looks like they've got a shot at recapturing the inspired silliness of SUPER TROOPERS with THE SLAMMIN' SALMON. Collider's hosting the red-band trailer. Check it out...
"How are we feline this evening?" That's the kind of stupid I can get behind. Helps that cats are involved.
THE SLAMMIN' SALMON will premiere at the Sundance Film Festival in a couple of weeks.

and best. and hopefully this movie will stand up to super troopers and beerfest.
-
I AM THE GREATEST RAPPER ALIVE
-
See above.
-
FUCKING LANDFILL
-
it's powdered sugar. it's delicious.
-
Club Dread was overly horrible
and sucked to the nth degree. Super Troopers was fucking stupid. Who cares about this but morons. -

beerfest had some some pretty awesome bits and reaffirmed my faith in the troupe after club dread somehow got made. i wish barry badrinath was my dad.
-
I like to laugh
-
Get it? Get it? .... its' cause it's fucking stupid.
-
Super troopers was comedy gold. Club Dread and Beerfest sucked.
I think if this one fails we'll see Super Troopers 2 next -
Don't get me wrong, it's an awful film... but I still enjoyed everything with Bill Paxton's Coconut Pete. His "Pina-Coladaburg" song still cracks me the fuck up. This looks better.
-
cynical jerks, Soup Face is pure gold
-
I still cant believe how aintitcool hyped club dread. It was just awful, as was beerfest. Supertroopers was tits though,
-
Too Soon!
-
Club Dred was unviewable. Unless they can tap into the hilarity that comes with working in a restaurant then this will go under their shit library. Super Troopers was great. Beerfest had its moments. This looks to only have movements, to the toilet.
-
Mostly because of the nudity. And Paxton was pretty damn funny in it.
-
This is why Hollywood keeps pumping out stupid shit like this, because their are still enough people out their who think the same stupid fucking comedy done over and over and over again with different people and different titles is actually funny. I pity us all.

you know the rest

If you thought beerfest sucked, drink heavily for a year or so,
by pooroltintin
come back and watch it again. Cloris Leachman as gam-gam was great casting. When I saw her as the grand marshall for the Rose bowl this year I laughed my ass off. I don't think Club Dread gets enough credit either, the dialog in that is great and there are, in my mind enough small moments (Like a drunken Paxton saluting his hat after ouring booze over it knee deep in the ocean.) to make it worthwhile.
-
you make an asshole out of yourself!
i love this crap. It's such damn good fun to go to theater knowing that what you are about to see is going to be full of so much delightful horryfyingly poor taste!!! It soothes the soul!! -
Puddle Cruisers?
-
Waiting was a little too ," on the money" for me, it had a lot of truths , but too much " you know this is true" stuff that wasn't really that true.( like the dialogue just sucked).
This looks like it will just avoid trying to be perfect and just amplify the normal hilarious BS that happens in the resteraunt biz. -
and this movie looks funny, in spite of the AWFUL mid-90's DTV feel of this trailer.
-
Seriously, they deserve all the success and Fanboylove that Judd Apatow and Seth Rogen get.
And yes, I even go so far and say that Club Dread was a better and smarter Slashermovie parody than Scream! -
Beerfest and Supertroopers were both a lot of fun though, and this looks like a good time too. Plus it's got Michael Clarke Duncan, and I'll watch anything he's in, he's awesome.
-
I bet we all just watched the best bits of the movie...and it was shit.
Fucking rolling out shit movie after shit movie. -

It's their fifth cinematic extravaganza, not their fourth
by immorganfreeman
Puddle Cruiser, Super Troopers, Club Dread, and Beerfest.
While not the greatest movies, they are damn funny, I don't care what anyone says.
And Series 7, yeah, I saw Puddle Cruiser way back when they were touring colleges with it. Met the guys back then, and they were mad cool. But the flick, despite being rough, had some brilliant moments. I continue to use "Firstie Firstie" in everyday conversation. Same with that "You wanna get brunch?" line, whenever I have unwanted sex. -
. . . over at JoBlo. Plot involves the U.S./Canadian border being changed. I have not seen Club Dread, but just don't understand how anyone that liked Super Troopers didn't also like Beerfest, which has a LOT of funny as hell moments.
-
This looks hilarious. Cobie Smulders is great in "how i met your mother", I'm happy shes getting herself on the big screen. And a cameo with Olivia Munn too? sold.
-
That looks awful.
-
the only guy who is worth a shit in the 'troupe' is the indian dude, who i can't even be bothered to remember his name so i will just say 'indian dude'.
-
Actually, this looks much better than Beerfest. But there won't be any topping Super Troopers.
-
because the 10 minute trailer just showed us everything from the movie. i'm sure someone can edit it into the right order if we cared to.
-
4 movies in what, 8 years? And the supposed pothead Apatow crew cranks out a movie every week.
-
all this negativity about Beerfest? I thought it was hysterical. It wasn't as good as Super Troopers, and Club Dread did suck, but it was damn funny.
-
Michael Clarke Duncan punches a swordfish in the face! What more do you want?
Love these guys! Can't wait! -
My subject line? LIKE EVERY JOKE IN THAT TRAILER!
-
Love the name!
-
I'll agree, Club Dread was a MAJOR misstep. And I've never seen Puddle Cruiser (don't think it was released theatrically). But Super Troopers is the bees knees and I love me some Beerfest. I'm honestly shocked at all the hate for that one. Cloris Leachman stroking a sausage, Badrinath under the bridge, and DAS BOOT!...that movie still cracks me up. I'll easily check out the Salmon, even though it does seem a lot was given away in the trailer. Oh, and for the record, Super Troopers 2 has been set as their followup to Salmon for over a year now.
-
but I gotta say, there's nothing funnier than punching a fish! Oh, he's a boxer? Perfect! Yeah, Super Troopers was funny when I was in college, but Club Dread and Beerfest just fucking bored me, and there aren't a whole lot of movies that have ever bored me. I'll sit through most crap, but I just kep wanting Beerfest to fucking end already. Shit, I just went to see Zapped! on the big screen here in Tucson. Yeah, I paid money to see Zapped!
-
That shit looks stupid! Good stupid that is!
-
and its probably not supposed to be.
I'll take this over any horribad SNL movie in the past 10 years. -
and I guess it's been doing test screening and such, according to some people on the imdb message board (for what that's worth). I've been a big fan of Broken Lizard since Super Troopers came out. While at first I didn't like Club Dread, I've grown to really like it after multiple viewings. Anyway, this looks very promising.
-
There's not a day that goes by when my coworkers and I don't quote at least one line from Super Troopers. Beerfest was just awesome. I can even stomach Club Dread every other year or so. And yeah, kudos to Cobie Smulders, looking forward to seeing her branch out.

Club Dread < Puddle Cruiser < Beerfest < Super Troopers
by kid idioteque
Club Dread wasn't great, but watchable. Puddle Cruiser has some great bits/characters, but reeks of that "student film" smell. I enjoy the other two quite a bit.
-
I need Potfest, so I can see someone smoke Das Blunt.
-
I fuckin' LOVE BeerFest! I'll admit, the first time I saw it, I was like "Meh." But it's one of those movies that each time you see it, you start appreciating the various bits they're doing more and more. Then you just love waiting for the moments. I'm sorry, but "Landfill" is one of the greatest nicknames ever. It's what I call a "snack movie", meaning you can take little bites of it and enjoy it without making a full meal out of it. If I've gotta head out the door in about 20 minutes and just wanna watch something and I see Beerfest is on, I can watch 20 minutes from wherever it's at, get my chuckle on, and then head out without feeling like, "Aw, shit, I wish I could stay and watch the rest." But the next time I'm channel surfing and there's nothing new on that I wanna check out -- if Beerfest is playing, I'm there and I know I'll get a good laugh, everytime.
-
That is her, right?
-
Steve Lemme, right? Cuz Club Dread shouldn't count.
-
These guys are no better than those two idiots behind Epic Movie...the only difference is that those two idiots know they're not funny but don't care because they're raking in the money
-
You Piccadilly whore!

When it's time for Scheisse you better get on the crapper.
by derlanghaarige
The funny thing is that the German in Beerfest was much, much, better than most German dialogue in non-German movies.
-
He always gets the best character in the Broken Lizard movies.
-
Beerfest? Super Troopers? Club Dread? The people sitting through their shit must be the same crowd who think Larry the Cable Guy is a real hoot and a holler...cuz all three of those films were utter shit. Abysmal filmmaking that doesn't even deserve a DVD release. Sorry but it's true.
-
They're very funny guys no doubt about that. Terrific at improv. But they have yet to put out a script where most of the jokes don't feel half baked. Even Super Troopers, which I liked, had that feeling.
-
Seriously. Super Troopers? Everyone loves that shit, and it was just another dumbass lowest common denominator comedy. Fuck that, fuck this, and fuck Broken Lizard. All their movies suck.
-
Never has been. I only thought about laughing twice during that trailer.
-
I enjoyed it for what it was.Beerfest was hilarious come on zj mantonio lol that's comedy gold
-
Broken Lizard's work is obviously on a higher plain of comedy that I just cannot reach. Alongside that of the Wayans and Jim Belushi. I stared at that and did not even smile.
-
That cock-teasing pompous weenie swallowing snatch!
-
And fuckin Mohinder from Heros. Whatta fuckin cast tho.
Robin from HIMYM too! -
You clearly know nothing about comedy. Or, at the very least, have no senses of humor. If you don't find Super Troopers funny you must be cold and bitter on the inside. Good day.
-
Why don't you people get it.
-
Somehow it was just so crazy and off the wall that it worked. Everything else they have done is miserably painful to watch.
-
They probably got him to play a restaurant critic or something. Nice to see him in comedy for once.

All the Broken Lizard films I've seen have been pretty funny
by soylentmean
Including Dukes of Hazzard. I only saw the unrated version of that and it was actually enjoyable. Of course I get food poisoning a lot...
-
Heroes crossover!
-
Liked everything (even Club Dread as stupid as it was) that they've done other than Puddle Cruiser. Just could'nt get it. Honestly though...these boys are an acquired taste. I usually sit around all shits & giggles with the booze watching Super Troopers & Beerfest & none of me fellars got it...other than my brother...& there's no accounting for taste on his end...period. I'm up for admitting that you just have to either love 'em or hate 'em...that's the truth. After seeing this preview...I'm just kinda torn on the possibility of enjoying this one only in parts & only severely intox-ee-micated.

They really don't need to show everything in the trailer...
by samuraiyao
Can't stand that shit!!!
-
While I tend to agree with the majority here about club dread being shitty, I still call any Penelope I meet Penal-lope.
And as for Super Troopers, well I`ve worked in call centres for a few years, and if it wasn`t for the meow game I would go totally insane. There`s nothing like slipping in the occaisional meow when you`re talking to someone who`s ripping you to really drive the wedge in. -
Boy, you told me. You are right. I now love Broken Lizard since you set me straight. So thanks for that.
-
Paulie Shore, Ernest P. Worrell, and Adam Sandler produced films, i.e. the lowest common denominator. Thanks to morons like you we are guaranteed more treasures like Meet the Spartans and Super Hero Movie. So thanks for that, fuckers.
-
it's "not", not "now", you dumbass.
-
Your ignorance of comedy continues to astound. Even a severly retarded child knows that Broken Lizard's flicks and the Spartans/Super Hero "spoof" movies (or those of Paulie Shore, Ernest, et al.) are nowhere close to being in the same league as one another.
And you keep using the phrase "lowest common denominator". In the immortal words of Inigo Montoya, "I do not think it means what you think it means."
I don't believe that anyone here would classify Broken Lizard's movies as "high brow" by any stretch of the imagination, but calling them "lowest common denominator" is just plain inaccurate. -
Wow, you're a total idiot.
