    by jacknf

Anybody watching Leverage on TNT? It's only been running for a month or so, and right from the pilot it quickly became my favorite new show of the season. I can see the premise wearing a little thin after a while, but 5 episodes in I'm still liking what I'm seeing.

the other day USA ran a BN season 2 marathon and they were heavily promoting the upcoming season or half season or however it works with shows like that and Monk and Pysch,P>I was actually hoping all 3 of those shows would come back on the same week and/or night as they are my most "fun" shows. I love me LOST and BSG, but for pure mindless entertainment "candy" i love those 3 shows

    by gotilk

That premiered in January, so I would expect it would be soon. I saw him with a bald head at some awards show, so they had to have been shooting. As far as Eureka goes, doesn't that usually start back up later spring/early summer? But it's Skiffy, so who knows? It may be back in 2010.

Oh and HAPPY NEW YEAR! Make it a good one.

Lost is going to go on spectacularly, 24 is going to peter out and BSG is seeking a big finish; but only for geekwise. And all still might better ratings than Dollhouse. But suck & die? You're reaching. T:TSCC and Dollhouse are going to finish their seasons this year.

Looks like will be back mid-2009 when the regular network shows season ends.

"Given the calendar, we only had time to produce eight episodes in order to air in our usual July time slot. Thus, the decision to make 21 instead of 13, and break them into two blocks of eight and thirteen. We don’t yet know our airdate for the second half, but look for it sometime in early to mid ‘09. Sorry we can’t be more specific"

    by stormwatcher

Its a good story, good twist, hopefully Kilmer can pull it off as he can deliver when he wants to, case in point hte Salton Sea which actually looks glorious upconverted on a blue ray surprising considering the DVD is bare bones and like 6 years old. Best thing the director of Disturbia/TakingLives/Eagle Eye has ever done.

Geez, another Hollywood attempt to establish this wasteful/intrusive government program as a permanent fixture of our lives. Instead of watching this tripe, people should be asking why the already bloated gov't agencies (such as the CIA, FBI, NSA, National Guard, Coast Guard, NORAD, border patrol) can't do their jobs, that we need homeland security.

I really like Leverage too, but I also agree that the show doesn't look like it will hold up for the long haul. I am disapointed in some of the character development from the pilot to the regular series. The Parker character was far more interesting in the pilot than she is now. She was more of a loose cannon and now she is there for a few comic relief scenes. Christian Kane's character is starting to be only a plot device for some action. Even his centric episode was more about Timothy Hutton than him. I guess that is the drawback of a ensemble cast action drama with a heist of the week premise. Only so much screen time for each character.

I also have no hope for Dollhouse

    by tvguy4566

I just don't think Whedon's heart is in the concept as much as he just wants to work with Eliza Dushku again and trying to figure out a vehicle to build around her. I think to have a kick ass sci-fi series, you gotta build the concept and then cast around the concept.

    Reply to Talkback

  • Jan 01, 2009 6:12:59 PM CST

Only the Whedon faithful will watch Dollhouse.

    by annoyyou

And that ain't enough to overcome the really, really bad cast (Lennix and Penikett notwithstanding) without a name amongst them. Dushku is a terrible, one-note actress, a show-killer and she's also not the dewy thing she used to be. I give it 6 episodes.

    Question about Dollhouse

    by big jim

Other than on this site, is anyone talking about it? It seems to be so far below the mainstream radar that to find it you'd need sonar.

In the year ending listing craze, Dollhouse has made the it into the top 10 Most Anticipated 2009 by Entertainmet weekly (#1 spot), E!Online (#10 spot) and Hitfix (#1 spot) that I can recall.

When LOST is fucking your mind in 2009, no other shows matter

    by turketron

But it will be good to have BSG, 24, Supernatural, and a few other shows to keep your mind busy so that you aren't foaming at the mouth for the next episode of Lost.

    My Name is Earl

    by obidawsn

Where's My Name is Earl? I didn't pay attention to it the first time because I just went down the list to see what was coming back. I just looked again and noticed it wasn't there, but The Office was listed as Feb. 2. I saw promos on NBC that they are both airing new episodes tonight!

Why does my Comcast TV Guide list new office this week?

    by jor-el23

Anyone know? The episode is called "The Duel", it's only a half hour and it's about Andy finding out through Michael about Dwight and Angela. Then Andy and Dwight have a duel.

    Earl/Office

    by obidawsn

I know it's been a few days, but I'm just getting a chance to reply. It seems that the NBC promos were misleading. My Name is Earl did come back last Thursday, but the Office didn't. The Office was the only show that didn't have a new episode. Jor-El23, maybe the Comcast TV Guide was confused, too :).
