Teaser Trailer For Something Called LESBIAN VAMPIRE KILLERS Demands Your Attention...

Not to take a shot at a film sight unseen, but I'm disappointed that LESBIAN VAMPIRE KILLERS appears to be yet another parody of an exploitation flick rather than an actual, unrepentantly sleazy exploitation flick. With a title like that, why go the Wayans family route when you can pay straight-faced homage to Jess Franco?
Hopefully, director Phil Claydon and writers Paul Hupfield & Stewart Williams aren't just cashing in on the success of SHAUN OF THE DEAD with the below-previewed silliness (courtesy of ShockTilYouDrop). Impossible to tell at this point.

Thier women having been enslaved by the local pack of lesbian vampires thanks to an ancient curse, the remaining menfolk of a rural Welsh town send two hapless young lads out onto the moors as a sacrifice.
LESBIAN VAMPIRE KILLERS is currently scheduled for a Spring 2009 release.

Its a much better payoff. Everyone hates a cocktease, so why would guys willingly subject themselves to a cocktease of a movie?

I'm from the UK and after imdb'ing the talent involved in this movie I found that the two main leads come from a very very funny show on the BBC called Gavin & Stacy. The writers are from a couple of decent Channel 4 shows (Balls Of Fury and The Kevin Bishop Show). Therefore I do believe that although this is trying to capatalise on Shaun's success it will also be incredibly funny in it's own right (the guys from Gavin & Stacy can pretty much do no wrong at the moment).
So yeah, kinda looking forward to this one. -

I saw "Vampire Lesbians of Sodom" off Broadway in the 80s. I thought then that someone should have staked the play.

and if they're doing the whole thing as a genre comedy then my interest is gone. Of course with an obvious title like that, they cant exactly take it seriously, it's not the 70s anymore.

As soon as I see Zombie Strippers I will see this. Does Jenna Jameson show the goods? If not, really, why see it? Do we see Vampire boobies? Again, of not, then why make the movie?

not that i have anything against the British, but i find "English humor" to be an oxymoron. i just don't find it funny. in the days of the internet, saying you have lesbians in your film isn't going to reel anyone in either...

saw ten mins of this at fright fest looked ok , but still had that knowing jokey nod and a wink thing going on, gavin and stacy is pretty good but they are just playing the same characters

This has got campy schlock teases written all over it. Itll give millions of teenagers blue balls of death and ideas that those with girlfriends will never want to satisfy... Now gimme an all female vampire flick on a fully conquered planet in a pure drama where men are hunted\herded cattle and female vampires are 3 times stronger than any man and fight each other for control of the meat planet. Now THAT premise with a good story would get my blood boiling...

Fox obviously wants nothing to do you or Dollhouse, so jump ship and paddle towards more inviting shores. I hear the CW is looking to re-up Smallville for another season, so if they are that desperate then it's a sure bet you'd be in like Flynn.

Again, I am from the UK. The two leads in this film are an absolute force to be reckoned with. They are the next amazing British double act. Matthew Horne and James Corden. As tolomey stated, they star in the extremely funny and brilliant "Gavin and Stacey" and they are also touring soon, and will have their own comedy show. They crack me up, their chemistry is so brilliant. This film I can guarantee will be great.
Please give it a chance. Just look at it anyway. Its a bit of fun!!!! -

That voice over is horrible...and with a more professional trailer it could be a hit? The footage looks handsome, and some of the dialogue, action, and acting appears solid--what little I saw.

...I was kind of thrown by the inherent ambiguity of the title. was it the job of the vampire slayers to kill lesbian vampires, or were the vampire slayers lesbians themselves?
