Morgan & Sheen To Reteam For Third Tony Blair Movie!!
I am – Hercules!!
Screenwriter Peter Morgan and actor Michael Sheen, who collaborated on two movies about Tony Blair (as well as the Blair-free historical drama “Frost/Nixon”), will make a third movie about Blair -- this time focusing on the British prime minister’s friendship with Bill Clinton.
Titled “The Special Relationship,” the third Blair film will mark Morgan’s feature directorial debut. The earlier Blair films – “The Deal” (which followed Blair’s ascension) and “The Queen” (set against the aftermath of Princess Diana’s death) - were directed by Stephen Frears.

A film titled THE SPECIAL RELATIONSHIP begs for the XXX treatment.

He totally knocks it out of the park in every movie (yes, even in the stupid Underworld series) and yet he gets no love. I have no idea why this is so, but it must stop.

But these guys all do good work. Frears, is a great filmmaker doing films, like these, and "Dirty Pretty things" but then giving us something amazing like "high fidelity"...though he has no involvement this time around, I think this film could bridge the gap between us and the brits, seeing how this installment will have a bit to do with us as well (Clinton). Though I don't see a wide release here in the states, since only about 10 people clinked on the link and fewer had something to say about it.

The story of how Blair lied to the world about WMD intelligence just so he could justify invading Iraq?<br><br> It could be like Run Lola Run or Sliding Doors and have alternate storylines: one where he's given full knowledge of Iraq's weapons capabilities and then lies about the WMDs being able to reach Britain (the intelligence was for battlefield munitions only).<br><br> Then the other story could be where Blair is so incompetent he doesn't even bother asking the intelligence services anything about what sort of weapons Iraq has because he doesn't give two shits about the lives of the British soldiers he's sending to their deaths.<br><br> Of course the problem with these two timelines is that they both result in an illegal war because Blair was going to war as soon as he could find any old flimsy excuse to justify it.

Sheen is in danger of becoming an impressionist; 3 Blairs, David Frost, Kenneth Williams (Carry On films), Brian Clough (famous English soccer manager)... The man has talent in bags but he probably needs a break from playing actual real personalities.

With Sheen playing Blair in The Deal and The Queen, I was really looking forward to the conclusion of the kinda-trilogy with a project about the build-up to the Iraq war. But Morgan said that he would have no interest in telling that story and would prefer to examine events prior to September 11th. Given the timeframe, I guess much of the film will be about Kosovo - thus foreshadowing Iraq (kinda).

Tony Blair could have been a great man. He had to buddy up with Bush. Sheen, however, is one of the better actors around and does not get the respect that he deserves.

Blair was one the best British Prime Ministers at one of the worst times to be a British Prime Minister.</p> On September 11th 2001 he had to make a choice - to back the Americans or back the restrained mood in Europe, he made the correct choice, but then he had to decide again in 2003 with the invasion of Iraq.</p> I think he made the right choice, the war on Iraq wasn't the correct thing to at that time, especially as the battles in Afganistan were still ongoing, but Blair had to back the Americans, else look like the French (who had their own reasons for not attacking Iraq i.e. Oil).</p> I look forward to this film.

That is what I want to know. Aherne's attitude to the war was correct. AHerne had the sense not to piss of the americans as our economy depended on american investement. Aherne sat on the fence. but made it clear that ireland was still a friend to the US. By allowing us war planes to land at shannon. this pissed the irish left no end. The irish left hate america. But now we have a bigger problem. The lisbon NO Camp who are Europe Haters. HOw will brown fall. By getting Britain to join the euro. and in that way Cameron will become PM.

Back together for the the third and final film in a trilogy about the life and work of Selma Blair!<p>This is great news. I, for one, cannot get enough of Charlie Sheen's performance as Selma Blair. Such a tranformation - it's Oscar worthy stuff.<p>I also like Morgan Freeman's performance as a dignified black guy.

the fascinating and enthralling new series from Lawrence rees. Perhaps the most chilling thing that I saw was concentration camp that was liberated by the russians. Pows in this camp were told to that were no justice 4 them and that they would be there for a very long. The Russians ran this camp in similar way to Gitmo. Depsite all the talk of never forgetting the poles. One polish solider in the uk told the story that he was walking along a road with his girlfriend and car pulled up and a senior british soldier pointed at this polish soldier and said didnt you know the war is over. He headed back to poland and despite what Churchill had said to the polish. anyone who worked with the allies in poland where told to shut up about it.

The three are part of a trilogy they planned, each focusing on a different aspect of Blair's place in history and relationship with those around him. The first two, especially "The Queen," were brilliant. I'm anxious to see this one.

I have always thought about Blair. George Bush is R2 D2. Anthony Daniels and Kenny Baker cant stand each other. When Kenny Bakers wife died. Anthony Daniels got an invite and didnt even respond. didnt even pick up the phone. or write or anything.
