Published at:  Dec 08, 2008 11:08:49 AM CST

Greetings! ScoreKeeper here eager to indulge my sadistic predilections by inflicting a heavy dose of payne on five suspecting Ain’t It Cool readers who willingly submitted themselves to my wrath.

Each of these poor saps have all won a copy of the original motion picture soundtrack to MAX PAYNE (2008) composed by Marco Beltrami and Buck Sanders.

The winners were randomly chosen from all the qualifying entries.

The five winning masochists are as follows:

Kevin M. McNabb of West Point, New York

Colin McGinness of Windmill Hill, Bristol, UK

Renaud Blanchet of Québec, Qc, Canada

Nicholas Brill of Round Rock, Texas

Charles M. Chapin of Old Town, Maine

Congratulations! Your CDs will be shipped out this week.

You asked for payne and you got Payne!

Ibuprofen not included…

What a lame movie. I should have known better than to expect something halfway decent from a video game flick.

As a fan of the first game and skightly digging the second, I enjoyed the flic on a level where I know it's not a great film, but the subtle things that are true to the game are right on! There were one of two badass moments in it though... As for the score, I don't recall anything great about it, however I do know that the first game had this awesome violin music and that was sadly missing from here. Anyway I hope this thing gets remade and remade right. The valkyries were cool and they should definately keep that in there whenever there's some drug trips happenin, perhaps with a lot more restraint though. They should remain subtle shadowy creatures that you catch a few glimpses of. The red embers mixed in with the snowfall was also great! There's some good stuff in there... too bad the story was so by the numbers and for insertion of bullet time sequences just randomly poping up... They should've started the movie off with a more stylish action scene to set it in rhythm. Also it should've been Rated R. Not because I'm some gore junkie, but the stuff in this film, particularly Max's wife and child's death needed more impact and the aftermath more brutal. They fucked up by making it PG-13. And there should've been more action too.
